The Young Man One

The Young Man One
Memories of That Night

It's getting late, the rain just stopped not long after the party's over. But they decided not to go home that night for safety, in addition to considering the road conditions that might be difficult later. Now Livia finished her business in the kitchen, cleaning the bowls they used.

Seeing someone appear made Livia turn her head, found Kelvan coming while occasionally sipping a warm drink he made. They threw smiles at each other as if they were really enjoying the night.

"Is Nea asleep?"

"It has. He's sleeping in your room."

"Kenzi?"

"She's sleeping on the floor now."

"Oh, I have to give her a blanket and pillow."

The movement that wanted to go made Kelvan hold him back. "Let me. Where did you put the blanket and the pillow?"

"Ah, are you sure? I'm sure it'll be hard for you to find him. Just let me" said Livia, then went to the room.

Kelvan only saw how Livia soon came out of the room with a pillow and a blanket. Livia didn't wake Kenzi, in other words would lie the boy's head on a pillow and also blanket it.

Why is he so stifling?

Given how Kenzi lied to her to make her feel unhappy, she thought she should be more careful with the child.

He shouldn't feel this way, should he?

Especially in teenagers.

"L—livia, wouldn't it be better for me to help her?"

Livia raises her head. He didn't quite understand, but if Kelvan wanted to help, then he didn't mind either. So, he handed the business over to Kenzi.

Livia also went to see the state of her grandmother who had slept too. Perhaps, because it was rare to have guests made her stubborn grandmother to take part. However, for such a person he must also be more stubborn to be heard, otherwise the health condition of the grandmother will be disturbed.

The sound of crickets was clearly heard in the silence. Kelvan sipped the drink back, while Livia who was just finished with a messy affair could finally sit down.

"Ah, I remember it."

"You suddenly become a talkative person, but the next day turn into a different person. I'm quite confused how to deal with you and also my feelings."

"Actually, I got out of control that time until it opened up to you. Don't know what makes me so, maybe because I'm comfortable around you? But I'm not sure of my own feelings yet so I need to be sure. You are also Nea's private teacher. I don't want to make you uncomfortable with the feelings I've got."

"I'm pretty sad when you didn't hold me back from staying on as Nea's private tutor, just letting me go."

Kelvan felt the rest of the sadness emanating from Livia's eyes. He was quite sorry, for not expressing his feelings earlier.

"But it's all over. I'm very happy with how we are now." Livia smiled.

Kelvan was silent for a long time, only paying attention to this woman sitting next to him. He put away the blur of hair that touched Livia's cheek slowly, then thinned the lips.

"Can we remove that restriction from now on?" ask Kelvan.

"Like?"

"Like the way we call each other. We're too stiff for the size of a couple that's all grown up."

"Can I call your name?"

"Hmmm, of course. We can talk casually."

"Kel—van."

Kelvan took a deep breath, exhaled it quickly. He wanted to calm the turmoil in his chest. Now is not the time for them to do the physical touch, because he knows that this unmarried Livia still needs to know her partner more deeply.

Kelvan, a single widower with a male passion who has been held for so long, wants to scream at the universe.

"May I kiss you?" ask Livia.
