There has been no explanation from Kenzi since Nea's cries began to flow for the first person to interest her. Kenzi left him. Nea also knew that she should not linger in a sad mood.
The college entrance exam made Nea's thoughts of her grief vanish for a while. It may seem unusual from the outside, but after everyone left him alone, the memory of his time with Kenzi appeared and made him unable to stop shedding tears.
Nea goes through a severe romance problem in her teens, while her father's marriage is getting closer. He thought, would the matter of being in a relationship with someone be so complicated? At least, it does not apply to Kelvan and Livia who are both mature about thinking.
Nea was stunned when she saw her phone lit up. He had hoped that someone he had been waiting for all this time contacted but in fact did not. It was an incoming call from his father.
"Nea, can you replace me and go see Livia? Today there's a wedding dress fitting schedule, but dad has to attend a surprise meeting. Just help Livia listen to how you think about her looks."
Nea rolled her eyes. "Can't you stop work for a while? This is how many times my mother-to-be is doing wedding preparations alone."
"Dad's really sorry. Soon Dad will catch up with you. Now help Livia's father, because she's alone there. It's a long time ago."
Nea let out a long breath. She caught up with Livia who was trying on a wedding dress at the time. They had actually not met for a long time, because they were preoccupied by his status as a student, while Livia herself was busy finishing work before resigning.
Nea sat on the sofa while waiting. She used to spend time playing the phone, but Livia's ringing made her notice right away. He recognized the bag his father had given him during the birthday celebration.
"Is my mom still in there long?" nea asked the officer who was standing not far from the locker room door.
The employee peeked for a while, then said, "It looks like it will take another five minutes."
That's quite a long time to pick up a phone call. He took the initiative to give it to Livia. However, his attention was caught on the person who called, making his heart immediately pound when he found Kenzi's name on the screen.
Either there was a push that made him change his mind and raise the call.
"Mom Livia?"
That voice ... he hadn't heard for a long time.
Nea hesitantly replied, "Hmmm."
He hoped that Kenzi would not recognize him.
"Oh, Nea?"
Nea widens the eyes. Kenzi still remembers her, remembering her voice.
"So, is that really you? I still don't understand why Livia's mom's phone is with you."
"My mom is trying on a wedding dress now and ...."
"And? And what?"
After what Kenzi did to her, why did she feel so innocent? Nea was very upset right now. He knew that his tone had to be taut!
"And I was about to give him this phone, but the button accidentally pressed so I had to talk to you."
"Wow, you sound like you're lying right now. But I'm seriously asking this, how are you?"
Nea knew that now was not the time for something like this. He was rejected, abandoned, made to suffer with the breakdown of contact between them.
But her heart warmed with only one question she had long expected.
"A—aku little ... fever?" said it.
