The Young Man One

The Young Man One
The Sad Side

Nea could not help but laugh as she looked back at Kenzi's facial features. Just this time he saw a boy with puffy eyes, not from fighting like most, but from crying.

Kenzi let the people who noticed him pass away first, only to raise their heads. He's quite sorry. If only the atmosphere had not been emotionally stimulating, maybe now he was not with Nea and showed her a pitiful side.

"I came home" said Kenzi, got up from his seat, then left the minimarket lounge.

Nea who saw immediately followed. "But we're not done talking yet."

"For what, if you're just gonna laugh."

Nea laughed a little. "I don't laugh anymore after this. So tell me why you're crying. Did you have a rough day abroad?"

Exactly it. Kenzi did go through a tough day while living in a foreign land. He tried to adapt, but there were things that made him finally choose to give up and return to his place of origin.

"Where should I start telling you? And again, are you a trustworthy person? I don't see that from your looks."

Nea looked sour her expression. "I should have said so. Is your story trustworthy? With your current appearance, I guess the answer is no. After all, why did you change your appearance to be so ugly like this?"

"You think I'm the only one who's ugly now? You're the same, not like the old Nea. Someone told me that you're hanging out with a bad kid. So, that's the reason why your appearance has changed drastically?"

"I just. .. want to look cool."

"In your college days?"

"Nothing's wrong, is it?"

"In addition, why did your father let his daughter be ugly. Miss Livia always picks me up when I'm acting weird."

"Maybe, because I'm Nea? But, Hey! No matter who I hang out with and how I look, my grades are still good."

"You're helped."

"It's so mean!"

Nea pushed Kenzi strongly, so annoyed now. The self-propelled person stopped stepping, turning to Nea who turned seriously the look on her face.

"Sorry" said Kenzi.

"Because you said that to me."

"You should also apologize to me for anything else."

"For something else?"

"You pretended not to recognize me."

"I'm sorry about that, too. I shouldn't have acted childishly. Now I feel ashamed of my appearance from toe to head."

"Next time, don't ever do that again. If you repeat it, then let's just say we never know each other. I know in the past it wasn't so good for us, but at least we can be friends in the future."

Kenzi thought for a while, then nodded his head. "I understand."

Nea let out a long breath. He walked first and said, "Let's hear your story!"

Kenzi was still silent in place, looking at Nea's back slowly going away. There were things he wanted to say a long time ago but it felt like now was not the right time.

"Kenzi!"

Kenzi stopped from daydreaming, staring at Nea who was deliberately waiting for him after shouting a call. He rushed over and took a step toward the goal again.

"You can start with my mom. What does Miss Livia have to do with your problems? My dad too. I have many things to ask you, so you will answer my curiosity one by one. Including the girl who spoke to you at that time."

"Daughter?" Kenzi recalled. "I don't know who you mean, because I talked to a lot of girls before."

"Oh, that's how it looks! Kenzi who now must have a lot of approaching, huh?!"

"I don't think it's just like that now."

Nea forced her smile to warp. "As a friend, I'm glad to hear it."
