This afternoon, Teguh sent me a message, unable to pick up. I really do read it. Better take an online ojek or angkot, than to be picked up.
"Seriously you weren't picked up, Ar?" ask Mila when I pack.
"Yes. He said so" I said casually.
"Follow me yuk" take Mila. I looked at Mila.
"Where?"
"Walking!" mila said with a smile.
Wooh, I never hung out for a lifetime. Especially after work like this.
"Come on. Time and time again. Your security guard does not pick up. Don't be a housewife. Enjoy life." Mila.
Yes also. When else can I hang out.
"OK deh. But don't go home at night?" sahutku. Because I have kids and a husband at home.
Mila nodded. Then I gave word to bi Yati. I lied that I had to accompany the boss somewhere. Where there is a receptionist accompanying the boss meeting. But let it be, after all bi Yati will not understand.
Mila pulled my hand to follow her to the car park. Mila brought her own car. I think he's riding the bike like he always does.
"Whose car, Mil?" I asked when Mila had driven her car.
"My car. Wonder why I have a car?" Mila laughing.
Well, obviously, I know what a receptionist's salary is. It is best to eat daily and buy personal needs.
"You got an inheritance or you got a lottery?" tanyaku.
Mila laughed again. While shaking head.
"Work, Ar. Side job" said Mila.
I just nod my head. He also has a side job. He could have his own car.
"Goodoo. Mumpung you are still young, do not have dependents of children and husbands" I said.
I imagine if I was still like Mila, I would ask about Mila's side job. Who knows if I'm interested.
We arrived at a fairly large cafe. Mila parked her car in the cafe's courtyard. There are also many cars and motorcycles parked there.
It seems like many cafe visitors, although not a holiday or weekend.
"Come down" take Mila. Then I got out of the car and followed Mila in.
Mila walked towards the long circular sofa and many men and women there.
They seem to be in pairs. From the way they sit, they embrace each other.
There are two unpaired men. Then Mila approached one of them. And they kissed and hugged each other, with no sense of remorse for other visitors.
"Beib, know this is my coworker. Aryani" Mila said to the man. Maybe it's Mila's boyfriend.
I nodded with a smile. But the man stretched out his hand to me. I had to take his hand.
He held my hand tight and long. Just introduced himself.
"I'm Lucky. Mila's date" he said. His eyes are staring hard at me.
I smiled and threw my eyes the other way. The others smiled at me.
Then Mila introduced them one by one to me. Apparently Mila recognized them all.
"Sit here, Ar" take Mila. Give one empty sofa.
The guy named Lucky was sitting next to me. He even pushed me to my body.
He is more quiet than the others. Mila introduced him. Name's Edwin.
"Sorry" I said as my body hit Edwin's body.
"No problem" he said with a flat face mimic.
"What do you want to order, Ar?" ask Mila. His body continued to sway to the rhythm of the music that was heard from some sound system.
"Soft drink only, Mil" answered me who did not know what to order. Because there is no menu list presented to me.
"Let me order" said Lucky, whose hand was held by Mila while shaking her body.
"OKAY. I was like always, Beib" Mila said.
And the guy named Lucky went and ordered me and Mila a drink.
Edwin invited me to chat between the sounds of music that was quite loud. Luckily he was next to me, so I didn't have to scream to answer his question.
"Ar, just enjoy. Don't be so tense. Enjoy the atmosphere" said Mila who then stood up.
Mila walked towards some people who were jogging to the rhythm of music. This place looks more like a disco than a cafe.
Because in the middle there is a place to jog with lights twinkling various colors.
I was a bit dizzy looking at those swirling lights. Moreover, the sound of music gets louder when some people start to join the floor, including Mila.
"We just move there, yuk. It's noisy in here." Edwin pointed to a corner bench a bit away from the jogging arena.
I thought, 'cause I feel uncomfortable too. I followed Edwin's steps. Sitting on the sofa with Edwin.
"Eh, you're here." Lucky came to us and handed me a glass of drink.
"This is your order, Ar. Drink" said Lucky. Then he left again to join his other friends at the table.
Mila is still dancing. It was like finding a new partner. They jogged while occasionally hugging each other.
I watched Lucky. He said he was Mila's date, why didn't he get angry when Mila was with another guy?
Or are they just dating? I don't know.
I talked to Edwin again. He told me that he worked in a private company. He also asked me about my work.
Lucky approached us. He looked at my glass which was still intact.
"Not drinking? He said he wanted a soft drink?" ask Lucky.
I smiled, and drank a little. Feels weird. Not like the soft drinks I drink a lot.
Edwin. Then took my glass after Lucky left because he was called by his friend.
"Why? You never drink alcohol?" ask Edwin.
I was surprised to hear that. Didn't I just order a soft drink? Why an alcoholic drink? It just feels weird.
"Don't wonder. It is also a soft drink. But mixed with alcoholic beverages. If you don't like it, let it be for me" Edwin said. Then drink it to the toilet.
Edwin called a waitress who passed by our table, and he ordered me another drink.
"Cola is normal" Edwin told the waitres. Neither does Edwin, want to order more for me.
"Don't drink alcohol if you're not used to it. Your throat will be hot. And if it's too much, you can get drunk" Edwin said.
But I see, his eyes are red. Unlike before he drank my drink. Is the alcohol level high?
Edwin asked me to talk again. This time I smelled a pungent scent from his mouth.
Maybe true, Edwin was getting drunk. His speech also began to fall. And suddenly he was lying on the sofa while rummaging unclear.
