First Night (2)

After dinner all gather in the living room commonly used as a family room. Shanum and Haqi return to being the months all family members remember them as newlyweds who continue to be the ingredients of teasing. Shanum only responded with a smile. While Haqi looks so easily familiar and mingles with the rest of the Shanum family.

Tonight Haqi deliberately chose to stay at Shanum's house before they left tomorrow for Jakarta. Though the company where he worked in Bogor has given him a gift in the form of luxury hotel facilities in Bogor. Previously Haqi had conveyed to Shanum's parents if after marriage Haqi would directly bring Shanum to Jakarta because he had to return to take care of the business of the late father's legacy according to his promise to the mother. Mother and sister Haqi himself since this afternoon was already saying goodbye because they had to return first to Jakarta to prepare for their arrival of course.

Their casual chatter stopped when the Adhan Isya reverberated. Everyone seemed to be preparing for the Mushala to perform congregational prayers. Shanum chose to pray at home because he still had to help the other family clean up.

Time has shown at nine o'clock. Everyone has shown their tired faces because of this all day event. You first say goodbye to rest leaving the mushala used to gather male family members after the prayer isya earlier. Followed by Shanum's uncles and Haqi who had seemed to yawn several times since.

Entering Shanum's room which tonight will be his room as well, Haqi did not find Shanum's whereabouts. He heard water splashing from the bathroom in the room. Believing Shanum to be in the bathroom, Haqi chose to lay his body on the bed.

Not long before Shanum came out of the bathroom with his all-length nightgown and the instant hijab still attached wrapped around his head. Haqi smiled at him, the woman who had now officially become his wife was really making him anxious himself. He still feels like a stranger but Haqi also understood him considering their recent meeting for Shanum followed by a sudden wedding.

Haqi understood that it would take time for Shanum to adapt to his current state. He will be patient members with Shanum in adjusting, providing a wide space for Shanum to get to know him better. Although actually what Shanum is experiencing right now is inversely proportional to him.

Haqi already knew more about Shanum. He knows that Ahsan is part of Shanum's past. Shanum doesn't know that he and Ahsan are good friends.

They come from the same university but are different majors. Since the lecture was not much different from Ahsan, Haqi was including the secret admirer Shanum. He saw Shanum for the first time during ospek, Haqi was already very interested in Shanum's simple personality, very cute and what it is.

Haqi chose to love in silence, he was unwilling to ruin his friendship with Ahsan. They often spend time together off campus because they belong in some of the same communities.

Haqi looked at Shanum who seemed to be misbehaving, he slightly chuckled as he felt funny. It still felt like the dream of the woman he loved in silence was now truly before him, one room with him and had legitimately become his wife.

"Daddy.." call him.

"Sit here" Haqi patted the still-empty bed for Shanum to sit beside him.

Shanum continued his footsteps that had stopped because he saw Haqi was already in bed.

During her time in the bathroom she tried to neutralize the strange feeling that enveloped her heart. He was so scared to go through tonight. As an adult woman who understands science, Shanum knows what his rights and obligations are after becoming a wife.

Including fulfilling the rights of the husband who is fully entitled to everything that is on him, but really if it can be honest Shanum is not ready for it. And it turns out that his worries and fears are supported by the universe.

Shanum sat right beside Haqi while still taking some distance, he took a deep breath trying to act calm and lowered his head again.

"Relax Dek, Abang will not ask for the right of Abang tonight, Abang will wait for Dek Shanum ready" he said casually.

Shanum further lowered his gaze, he was really embarrassed.

"Why?" ask Haqi

"I'm sorry, Bang" replied Shanum.

"Sstttt....."Haqi stuck his index finger right on Shanum's lips, making Shanum back sculpt.

"Abang understands what Adek feels at this time, it's okay to calm down everything will be fine. Brother just wants to say something to Adek tonight" Haqi explained

"Have I prayed?" tanya Haqi switched the conversation.

Shanum shook his head answering Haqi's question.

Shanum just rolled his eyes lazily, he was annoyed that from earlier Haqi kept teasing him.

"Don't be angry dong, the beauty will disappear" said Haqi even more tempting Shanum.

"I don't feel beautiful, if now it looks not beautiful at first it's also not beautiful" interrupted Shanum down, she is not secure enough to be said beautiful.

"Very well.ten...ten...really this angry?" Haqi immediately drew Shanum closer to him but Shanum was still reluctant to move he further strengthened his defenses to stay away from Haqi.

"Abang has known Adek since college. We come from the same college but different majors"

Shanum listened to all of Haqi's words carefully, he digested every word he heard. Trying to explore and understand how God manages his life scenario.
