57. Get Started

The day changed in the afternoon. Kinara will leave for the cafe where she will be working. It is also ready to be a yellow uniform combined with black jeans and a black rectangular hijab.

Kinara called Mama Santi before she left. He wanted to ask Mama Santi for prayers on his first day of work.

After that Kinara ended the phone call because he had to go to the cafe immediately. Kinara had also sent a message to Satria if he was going to leave.

" I'm leaving for work now. Don't forget to have dinner" Kinara said in her message.

Then Kinara went to the cafe using his motorbike. At three in less than ten minutes, Kinara was already at the cafe. Kinara entered the cafe and approached Hadi who was at the cashier. Hadi also gets a night shift like himself but because Hadi lives in the room in the cafe so he will always be in the cafe if not college.

" Assalamualaikum, Brother" said Kinara.

Hadi who heard someone say a greeting immediately turned his head.

" Walaikumsalam" replied Hadi smiling.

" Come Ra, now I introduce you to each other" Hadi told Kinara.

Kinara nodded her head and followed Hadi.

Hadi called everyone who worked at the cafe and introduced him to Kinara. Coincidentally, the cafe was quiet at the time.

" Temen-temen, know this Kinara. He'll join us at our cafe and he's in the night shift" Hadi said introducing Kinara.

Kinara smiled at all of them and cupped her hands together in front of her chest.

" Greetings everyone, my name is Kinara. Please guidance from all the brothers ", Kinara said politely.

Then Hadi introduced them all who were there one by one to Kinara.

" Well, it's Bu Jumi and her son Ani. They're cooks here, they'll work from morning till night. Then there are Tina, Julio, Anggun and Dafa as cashiers. Well, keep the new ones that come Dina and Ciko, they're in the same night shift we're in" Hadi told Kinara.

Kinara nodded her head as a sign that she understood.

After three o'clock exactly, those who have worked in the morning shift immediately go home and will be replaced with the night shift.

" I'll go home first, Ra. Happy working "tina told Kinara.

" Yes Ma'am. Be careful on the road " replied Kinara smiling.

Tina nodded her head and smiled.

After that, Kinara and the others began to clean and tidy up the cafe before the visitors came.

" Hey we haven't met" Dina told Kinara.

" I'm Dina " continued Dina extending her hand.

" Kinara" replied Kinara smiling and replying to Dina's hand.

" I'm Ciko" said Ciko also extending her hand to Kinara.

Kinara returned a hand from Ciko.

" May you feel at home working here with us - we" said Ciko.

" Yes Kak, please help if there is no one I understand" said Kinara.

" You calm down, Ra. If you are confused about talking to both of us ", added Dina.

Kinara smiled and nodded her head.

Before long there were some visitors who came, Kinara was directly serving them.

The more afternoon the cafe gets crowded. Kinara and the others helped each other and cooperated and served the visitors.

When the magrib came, Kinara, Dina and Hadi immediately performed magrib prayers at the mosque in the cafe. While Ciko is non-Muslim and he will serve his own visitors during the rest of the prayer.

After the magrib prayer, they took turns for dinner. They will be provided with food while working on their shifts.

" You're going to college up front? " ask Dina to Kinara while they are having dinner.

" Yes Kak" replied Kinara as she chewed her food.

" Sister is also in college? " ask Kinara.

" No. I couldn't go to college after I graduated three years ago. My family can't afford to pay for college " replied Dina.

Kinara nodded her head.

" Sister has been working here a long time? " ask Kinara.

" Yes pretty good about half a year ago, since the cafe opened. I tried to register here because the work is not full from morning until night so I can still work in a place that used to be morning until the afternoon "answer Dina feed into her mouth.

" Oh, so this cafe is new. I just found out, because I rarely go to this area" said Kinara.

" Yes, this is a new cafe. This is a branch of the central cafe in Kalimantan. The owner of this cafe moved to Jakarta so yes open here " replied Dina.

" Who is the owner, brother? " tanya Kinara was curious.

" His name I don't know because he doesn't reveal his identity to us. Only Kak Hadi knows but Kak Hadi does not want to tell us-us. About once a month he comes here anyway but it's just life continues to go into the same room Kak Hadi. But yes what I saw was that he was very young " replied Dina.

" Eh, let's go ahead. Let's change with Kak Hadi and Ciko " said Dina when their meal was up.

Kinara and Dina washed their used dishes and took turns with Hadi and Ciko.

When after the magrib and until night visitors continue to crowded. Most of them were young people who purposely hung out there. In the cafe there are two floors, on the floor for young people who want to hang out and on the second floor for those who need privacy.

At ten o'clock, the cafe was closed. Kinara and the others also tidied up the tables and chairs that were quite messy.

" Where do you live, Ra? " ask Ciko when they are in the cafe's special parking lot.

" It's not far from here. In the police compound " answered Kinara.

Kinara's residence is at the front of the complex, while at the back there are many houses that are police profession including Rendra. That's why the housing complex is often called a police complex.

" I go first" Kinara told Ciko and Dina.

After that Kinara also runs his motorbike to go home.

Arriving at the house Kinara immediately rushed to take a bath. The body feels very sore because it continues to serve visitors who continue to arrive. Kinara didn't even touch her phone at all while at the cafe.
