161. A Teacher

One week passed, today Kinara will start teaching at one of the high schools in Jakarta. The school became Kinara's place of duty after he became a teacher and also a civil servant (PNS). Kinara was so excited on her first day as a teacher and started teaching.

Kinara remained in the house owned by the Satria family because it was closer than the house of his parents. Kinara will depart on a favorite motorcycle that has accompanied him for almost seven years. Actually he could buy a new bike with his salary at the cafe but he did not want to change the bike.

When Kinara was ready to go to the school where he was teaching, a message from Satria came into his cell phone. Kinara immediately opened the message.

" The spirit of the first day taught him, Master Ma'am. Be careful on the road and don't get smitten by his students. There are prospective husbands waiting here "satria said in her message.

Kinara smiled reading the message and immediately replied to it. " Anyway, Sir. This heart is locked for the Police Officer to "reply Kinara.

Satria was actually eager to deliver Kinara on her first day of teaching, but she had some work to do. Satria chose to work directly at the police station earlier because she would take time off for their wedding in two months.

After that Kinara immediately went to the school where he worked because he did not want to be late on his first day.

It only takes twenty minutes he has arrived at a school that is quite famous and is a favorite public school in Jakarta. Kinara parked his bike in a parking lot specifically for teachers. Previously Kinara had come there to meet with the headmaster so that he knew some places in the school.

Several passing students noticed Kinara, probably because he had never seen Kinara before. Kinara smiled kindly at them. Three male students approached him as he was about to enter the school building.

" New student? " ask one of them.

Kinara who wore a batik shirt and a long black skirt with a cute face did not show that she was a teacher. So it was no wonder the students asked Kinara that.

Kinara did not immediately reply but he noticed the three young men wearing school uniforms in a mess. Kinara could guess that the three of them were quite mischievous students.

" Later you will know " replied Kinara smiling.

" I'm going first, excuse me " said Kinara and immediately left in front of the three young men.

Kinara headed straight for the principal room he had visited before. Kinara knocked on the door of the room and entered after getting an answer from within.

" Mum Kinara" said the principal named Bu Heni.

Kinara smiled and shook Bu Heni's hand.

Mrs Heni asked Kinara to sit down for a while before Monday's flag ceremony began.

" Welcome to our school, Ms. Kinara. Hopefully you feel at home teaching here even though there are some students who are quite naughty ", said Bu Heni to Kinara.

" It doesn't matter, Mom. It will be a challenge for me " replied Kinara smiling.

Kinara did have to be ready to face the various kinds of students who would be under his guidance.

Afterwards, Kinara and Bu Heni headed for the field for the flag ceremony. There will also be an introductory event for Kinara as a new teacher at the school after the ceremony is over.

As the flag ceremony began, Kinara marched in the ranks of the teachers. Unintentionally, Kinara saw that the three students who had met her were running into the ranks and behind her was a teacher who seemed to be a BK teacher. Looks like the three students wanted to skip the flag ceremony this morning.

Not wanting to bother, Kinara also refocused on the flag ceremony that had begun.

" Kids, today I want to introduce a new teacher in our school. This is Bu Kinara, she is the new math teacher replacing Bu Lusi who has to move out of town. I hope you can be kind and respect Bu Kinara ", said Bu Heni introducing Kinara.

Bu Heni also asked Kinara to introduce herself in order to get closer to the students at the school.

" Good morning everyone. Introducing my name Kinara Larasati, you can call me Bu Kinara as Bu Heni said. I will be teaching math for grade 12 so please help it for grade 12 kids. I will also be the homeroom teacher of class 12 IPS 2" Kinara introduced himself.

" If something is unclear or you want something to ask me, you can meet me later. Thank you "continued Kinara

After the brief introductory event was over, all the students were disbanded. While Kinara went to the teacher's room escorted by Bu Heni.

" This is Bu Kinara's table, hopefully comfortable" said Bu Heni showing the table for Kinara.

" Thank you, Mom. It's already very convenient " replied Kinara smiling.

Bu Heni asked a teacher to take Kinara to his class because Bu Heni had an online meeting that he had to attend.

" Did you introduce my name, Lintang. I am an Indonesian teacher here " said a teacher named Lintang reaching out his hand to Kinara.

" I'm Kinara " replied Kinara replying to that helping hand.

Latitude looks still quite young, if seen maybe the same age as Rendra.

" Want to class now, Mom? " tell Latitude to Kinara.

" Yes sir " replied Kinara.

Kinara took some of the books and items she needed to teach and went to the first class she was about to enter. Kinara followed Latitude's footsteps and walked beside him.

" Mum Kinara just finished college, huh? " ask Latitude as they walk.

" Yes Sir. I graduated about a week ago " replied Kinara.

" Well, it's appropriate that Bu Kinara looks young" said Lintang.

Kinara simply smiled in response to that.

The two of them continued to walk to the class they were going to.
