'That will never happen, ' Catherine thought, knowing well about the subject of Marcell's commitment.
"T—Wait! Urghs! I'll report you to Marcell!"
"Looks like it's gonna work. Marcell and I are done, remember?" Catherine responded indifferently.
Vanessa struggled to get out of this pile of groceries. But before she could recover, Catherine had already left the grocery store. Maybe go to another grocery store just to avoid it.
"Ugh, I should have asked her about the man who is taking care of her now," Vanessa complained about the missing opportunity. He was too focused on oppressing Catherine because the middle-aged woman was the source of his problem with Marcell.
Vanessa wanted him gone, so Marcell finally stopped delaying their marriage, so that she could soon become Mrs. Sebastian Vanessa!
Vanessa learned from Marcell that Catherine had sold her body to a rich old man. Since she had paid the expensive tuition up front, it was basically impossible to know that she had been a useless housewife for eight years.
"I'm sure he's an old man's pet now. Probably a man in his 80s. After all, who else would look after a woman like her?" vanessa.
"I need to report this to Marcell. She needs to know that the already moody street woman seems to be living a normal life now. That shouldn't have happened!"
Marcell sat in the back seat of his car as the driver drove into the Sebastian Mansion. She got a call from her mother about something unspecified, so she just needed to prepare herself.
Marcell stared at the highway in confusion, thinking of someone, until he felt his phone vibrate.
Marcell assessed the caller and immediately picked him up;
—
"Yes, Marco?" ask Marcell.
"Sister! Where are you now?"
"To our house" answered Marcell. He smiled while relaxing and leaning back in the car seat. "Mama called me about something. But it's not very important. The family business went well as usual. Why did you call? Is there a problem?"
Marcell is ready to help his sister if needed. Since he knew that Marco was still inexperienced, he might find some stumbling blocks on the way to their cooperation.
"Oh, I'll visit your company!" Marco said excitedly.
"Hm? Wh-wh-what for? Is your job okay?"
"Everything's good, brother. But I need your signature to process our work. Especially since your name has a lot of power in it, so it would be easier for me to lobby with the higher-ups in the entertainment industry." ," Marco said, mentioning their cooperation.
Marcell had already guessed what Marco needed. Marco is still a Sebastian with his last name, of course. But she had not been involved with the family for ten years, so she was less well known compared to Marcell, who was basically a household name now.
Marcell chuckled, "You can ask my secretary at the office."
.
"You mean…"
"No, not that one. That one's just for fun. I had a competent senior secretary who worked for Dad until he died. The secretary knew how to imitate my signature and also had my personal stamp. You can use it for anything you need" Marcell gave clear instructions to Marco, thinking it would help his younger brother with their little project.
"But is it really okay?" Marco asked.
“Only for our cooperation right? The scale is still small for now, so I don't care if you have a loss,” said Marcell kindly. "Make sure to save yourself first, because your company will be the hardest hit if it fails."
"OK…"
Marcell noticed Marco's desperate tone and realized that he might be too rude to her, "Hey, man, I trust you with my investment. I'm just trying to calm you down, so you don't feel too nervous about it."
"I know, thank you, brother!" said Marco. "Ah, what about this? I'll let your senior secretary sign it, and I'll scan it and email it to you later, so you can read the documents on the phone."
"That sounds good" Marcell agreed. He liked the way his little brother took everything very seriously."
"Okay, I'm going to your office right now. See you later, brother! Welcome to Mom!"
"Mm, talk later, brother," Marcell hung up first. He felt fresher just by talking to his younger brother.
Marcell knew he was not a good person, but he had been taking care of his younger brother ever since he was a baby.
Their parents had always been the destroyer of the family, so he was the one who made sure that Marco was well taken care of.
'Until Catherine comes into our lives….'
Marcell had to admit that Catherine took care of him a little better, a lot better than he ever did.
She acts like a nanny and an older sister towards Marco, even hugging him to sleep when Marco was a child because Marco heard the quarrel between their parents, something Marcell could never do because he thought it was a sign of weakness.
It was also one of the main reasons why she married Catherine because she could take care of Marco attentively. She had great maternal instincts as her nature.
'And I can't lie that she's a good mother. I never expected Amanda to be so smart and charming, even though she was a girl, ' Marcell thought. 'But Amanda is the exception that she's not stupid for being a girl because she has my blood. Not because of Catherine's upbringing and teaching.'
Marcell's expression gradually turned darker as he continued to think of Catherine, 'The prostitute is ungrateful. I picked her up from the slums of a single mother household, formally married her, and placed her in my home. What else does he need?'
'Oh, women are so stupid. Just look at him. He got everything, including me. His status as Mrs. Sebastian makes every woman in the world jealous. But he wasted it.'
Marcell could not contain his anger while constantly thinking about Catherine. No matter from any angle, it was Catherine who was wrong in her mind. That's why she wanted him to crawl back to her, admit his guilt for being an ungrateful little whore, and continue his duties as a wife.
'That bitch, I'll make sure that she pays to waste my time thinking about how to punish her, ' Marcell thought as he clenched his fists.
"Master, we've arrived" the driver said as he stopped the car right in front of the main door after a long drive from the gate to the mansion.
Marcell stared at his second home, the Sebastian Mansion, the mansion he grew up with Marco— and parts of Catherine when he dated her for eight years before their marriage.
Marcell saw the old butler walking towards his car and opened the door for him. Marcell got out of the car and fixed the handcuffs and the lack of it.
The butler bowed his head deeply, "Master, Lady Sebastian has been waiting for you."
"What does he want?" ask Marcell.
"Mrs didn't tell, sir. He just wants you to come."
"Well, this should be important because I have a lot to do."
