Amanda saw a man sitting at the dinner table, his eyes were like eagle eyes, and his pensive gaze only made her even more afraid.
He looked like his father, but without a trace of his kindness. He was also bigger and scarier than his father!
Amanda immediately backed down. He is always aware of the dangers of strangers and fears of random adults that seem scary.
"W-Who are you?!" amanda asked loudly, almost shouting as she was so alert.
Marco snorted, "That should be my question. This is my house, don't you know? It's not good to go in without permission."
"T—But.." Amanda doesn't understand why her Mommy has to visit and work with this scary uncle who is similar to Daddy.
"D—Where's my mom?"
Your mother was in the laundry room, Marco pointed with his chin before returning to his pancake breakfast. Amanda looked at the five-stacked padded pancakes with maple syrup and dried berries and pointed towards Marco;
"I—That's Amanda's pancake!" scream Amanda.
"Huh?" Marco licked the pancake inside his mouth and turned his head towards the little girl again. He saw Amanda pointing at the pancake.
"That's Amanda's pancake!" reset Amanda.
"And why is that?" Marco asked. She looked at the little girl deeply, thinking it would scare her. But because of her disbelief, Amanda becomes bolder, as if her life depends on the pancakes.
"Mommy said she'd make five soft pancakes for Amanda!"
"You think your mom's the only one who can make pancakes?"
"But it's mom's pancakes! I know that!" insist Amanda. "The scary uncle is a thief!"
Huh!
Marco's lips twitched in annoyance. He felt a prick in his heart when he was called a thief by a little girl. He never liked the kids—actually, he most often hated them, and the hatred was mutual benefit. Because all the children will be afraid of him for obvious reasons.
Marco has a similar appearance to Marcell, but Marco is taller and has a larger body, as well as a completely different aura and behavior. Marcell will smile and look friendly in front of the kids, as he did in front of the press.
But Marco never hid his true expression. If he didn't like something, everything would be revealed just by looking at his face.
And he doesn't like a lot of things most of the time.
However, Catherine's daughter was more attractive than she thought because she seemed to insist on claiming the pancakes.
A mischievous thought popped into his head, and Marco stabbed the five pancakes with his fork and sliced them with a knife.
He took the maple syrup and poured it into the pancakes before showing it to Amanda, "You're right. Your mother cooked this for you. But I was the first to find it, so now it's mine!"
Marco stuffed everything into his mouth before chewing on it, deliberately showing a delighted expression as he ate his pancakes.
After swallowing it, Marco looked at Amanda with teary eyes, "What can you do? Your pancakes are mine now."
"I-I'll tell my mom!"
"Come on, tell him" Marco said. Her pettiness is visible, and she is happy for Amanda, who is upset.
"Wu.. - WU..WUAAAA!" Amanda ran to the laundry room and rushed to her mother, who was putting the laundry in the dryer. "MOMMY!"
"What—" Catherine almost lost her balance when Amanda suddenly stormed in and jumped up her thigh. "A—What's up, Amanda? Why are you crying?"
"Wuu.. wuuu!"
"Some uncles?"
"Yes, um. He looks like Dad, but bigger and scarier!" Amanda reports.
Catherine immediately got an idea about that person. Amanda must be talking about Marco.
'Amanda must have thought pancakes were her breakfast because Catherine promised to make pancakes for breakfast last night, ' Catherine thought.
But she didn't make it for Amanda because she was still sleeping, and the pancakes wouldn't taste good anymore if it was cold.
"Amanda, no need to upset—"
"Mommy, rebuke the thief! Amanda wants her pancakes back!"
"T—wait—" Catherine had no time to explain when Amanda suddenly jumped off her thigh and grabbed her hand.
Amanda tried to pull her mother into the living room.
Once Amanda can bring her mother in front of a man who looks like her father, she immediately hides behind her mother's feet.
Amanda pointed at the man who was still sitting in the same spot, leaning on the dining chair while widening his legs as if he was some kind of boss.
Catherine was a little scared when she had to face Marco like this. But when he saw Marco did not seem to be in a bad mood, he tried to clear things up;
"M—Marco, I'm sorry for my daughter's words. He thinks the pancake was—"
"He accused me of stealing pancakes" Marco interrupted suddenly. "Obviously, you made it for me, right?"
"A—Yah, yes…."
"Then I am the rightful owner of the pancakes!"
"But Mommy promised it to me! You must have forced Mommy!"
"Who forced him? He made it for me!"
…
Somehow, Catherine felt she was standing between a quarrel between two children. Marco is very petty, even for a child. Rather than apologizing and acting guilty in front of Amanda, she decided to challenge him in an argument.
After listening enough, Catherine sighed and raised her voice, "OK, stop!"
Marco and Amanda opposed their quarrel so Catherine raised her voice, "I'll cook for Amanda the same thing. There are bananas and milk smoothies in the fridge."
"Huh? How do you know I'm drinking a banana-apple smoothie for breakfast?" Marco asked.
He was a little surprised because it was his favorite. All kinds of bananas and dairy products are her favorite. Combining it into a smoothie with other fruits is a great mood booster for her in the morning.
"Huh? How do you know I'm drinking a banana-apple smoothie for breakfast?" Marco asked. She acquired this sense when she was at university, so there was no way Catherine knew about it since her childhood.
Catherine stopped and looked just as confused as she was.
"But that one is for—"
"That's for Amanda!" said Amanda. "I love bananas and milk! Um.cheese and yogurt too! Mommy always makes a banana-apple smoothie every weekend!"
"Wait, is that true?"
"Yes, Amanda loves bananas and milk products." replied Catherine. "He likes banana milk the most."
Marco's jaw dropped as soon as he realized that he had exactly the same preferences as the naughty little girl. He had a stock of banana milk in his office fridge, and only Diamond knew about it.
"So bananas plus a milk smoothie isn't for me?"
Catherine shook her head reluctantly, "This is for Amanda."
"Then what are you going to do for me, brother-in-law?" Marco asked. His tone was almost demanding.
"Um. I'm waiting for you to finish the pancakes before serving your morning coffee or tea" replied Catherine. "So, what do you want? Coffee or tea?"
…
Marco imagines a naughty little girl can get her favorite banana-apple milk smoothie while she drinks boring coffee or tea for breakfast.
For some reason, he felt a little upset.
"I only drink coffee or tea at night" Marco said.
"Are you not aware that drinking coffee in the morning will only make your stomach hurt? Do you want me to have a stomachache in the morning?"
"Ah, I—saf, I don't know—"
"What kind of housewife doesn't know about this?" Marco began to speak in a vengeful tone, and Catherine immediately lowered her head.
He stuttered as he tried to apologize several times.
Amanda realizes that her mother is afraid of this scary uncle. Of course, Amanda was as scared as she was, but she braced herself to protect her mother.
"You're seriously—"
"Don't bully my mother!" amanda said as she stood in front of Catherine. His legs trembled in fear, but he tried to defend his mother.
"You're a scary uncle, don't bully Mommy!"
Marco shut his mouth for a moment, staring at Amanda who was standing in front of Catherine. Catherine immediately grabbed her daughter's arm and pulled her aside, "I'm sorry, Marco! T—Please don't be mad at Amanda. She's a kid, I—"
"Curtain, whatever, just make me the same smoothie. You're gonna make me that smoothie every morning, okay?"
"You understand…"
"And you, son," Marco pointed at Amanda.
