At 20:00 pm. Catherine waited for her husband, Marcell, to come home for dinner together to celebrate the victory of their daughter who participated in the ballet race.
But he did not arrive home despite having promised Amanda, their daughter will be home before 18:00.
At 21.30. Catherine finished putting Amanda to sleep. She is very gentle in putting him to bed knowing that Amanda was very disappointed and sulking all night after realizing her father was lying to her.
She checked the clock and couldn't wait any longer, so she opened her phone and called her husband.
Rang....Rang....
Catherine kept calling Marcell until he was finally picked up.
"Hello." A male voice sounded.
The first thing that caught Catherine's attention was her heavy roar of breath, like she was exercising heavily. However, Catherine did not show any reaction except a hint of disappointment. It was something he used to hear.
God also knew what kind of sport Marcell was doing before midnight.
"Marcell, when are you coming home?" Catherine asked.
"Huh? Uh!"
It was a simple question but Marcell had a hard time answering it. Catherine knew how much of a jerk Marcell was to her husband, yet she did not expect he would play a woman on an important day for her daughter.
"Have you forgotten your promise to your daughter? You are absolutely crazy Marcell! Amanda's been waiting for you for hours, you know!" Catherine yelled on the phone, she tried to vent her emotions on her husband.
"Oh! Don't overdo it Catherine.
Entertain him, buy him all the things he wants, take him to places he likes, travel around Europe even." Marcell retaliated.
"All Amanda needs is that we're on her side and you keep your word! But just the shit he got." Complain Catherine.
"Ah, quiet. You're too noisy!"
"You..." Catherine was speechless, before the sound of someone interrupting the conversation between the two of them.
"Darling! Who's calling? We're not done yet..."
"Shhh! Quiet." Marcell tried to silence the woman he was with at the time.
"Who? Is that your fat wife again? What are you still hiding for?
Doesn't he already know our relationship?"
The woman snatches the phone from Marcell's hand and talks to Catherine.
"Are you right, Miss Catherine Sebastian?"
........
"Hey, fat lady. Why just shut up?"
.........
The woman realized that Catherine was in shock at this moment.
"I don't think you're too stupid to know some of our hot games in the office."
"Oh okay. Stop calling, please! Don't bother us anymore. We're having fun at the hotel right now!"
BEEEPP....
Connection interrupted. Catherine's phone fell and she cried without a sound. Her body trembled and she bit her lower lip until it bled so as not to wake Amanda up at night.
Catherine did not want her daughter to know about this matter. The more she tried to cover it up the more it hurt her heart. It felt like there were thousands of knives thrust into it as he tried to rethink it.
She knew that her husband no longer cared about her. The marriage was broken after 8 years.
Stupid to think about it, but Catherine still wanted her marriage intact. He wants to make things right and forgive Marcell for all his mistakes, because they married out of love.
Catherine had always dreamed of having a wonderful married life with her husband.
Marcell rarely goes home this late.
Catherine thought she could tolerate everything, but when Marcell forgot to have dinner with her daughter, it was the end of an apology.
He can't forgive her anymore. He couldn't stand it and was fed up with everything.
Catherine wanted to break free from this unhappy marriage.
"No, I can't keep going like this. I'd go crazy if I let him torture me with his behavior."
"Had enough of him ruined my life these past seven years."
He did not know if he would find another man after this. He also had no intention of having it again after this painful experience. Better to be a widow. A status that was deeply disliked throughout his extended family.
Catherine was actually worried about Amanda. How will Amanda react later, when she finds out that her parents will be separated. What would he think of himself and Marcell? What if that situation would affect its growth? In fact,
But.....
"I want a divorce."
A single tear fell from the end of his eye and entered into the wine glass in his hand.
Catherine drank the wine in one gulp and drank her tears. Then he placed an empty glass on the table, right next to the previously filled divorce paper.
Now, there's only one part left. His signature.
Catherine took the divorce paper and took the pen.
Finally, she signed the divorce papers under her maiden name. Catherine Anderson's. Because she won't be Sebastian's mistress again!

In the morning, Marcell returned home. His head hit as he stepped out of the car. He had a good time last night in a hotel room with Vanessa, his secretary. They've been cheating for almost 6 years.
At that time Marcell just finished cleaning himself and preparing to go home. Vanessa mentioned something about commitment, but she shook her head to shake off that thought. Maybe he just drinks too much in the morning.
"Just divorce your fat wife!
Yuck,! You're even disgusted even just by looking at it, right?" Shouting Vanessa.
Divorce was the most sensitive topic for Marcell.
"He's still a good wife and mother. Only after getting pregnant and giving birth to our daughter did she become ugly and unattractive." Answer Marcell. Although it sounds crazy, he still defends his wife when cornered by Vanessa.
"Oh, come on Marcell. If only for cleaning the house and taking care of the children you could hire a waiter!" Vanessa massaged his head.
"I've been with you for six years. Don't be a bastard with no stand!"
Marcell remained silent, apparently ignoring Vanessa, even seeming to underestimate her.
"Urgh! Alright. I don't want to be like this forever."
"I don't want to just be your bitch in bed!
I want a commitment, make me your wife and daughter-in-law in Sebastian's family!"
Marcell did not stare at Vanessa as she took off the towel, changed clothes, picked up her bag and left while nagging. Meanwhile Marcell simply stared at the city below from the glass of his room before returning home.

Marcell parked his car in the garage aloud. Maybe he hit something, but he doesn't care. For now, he just wants to see his daughter Amanda.
Though it was too late she finally felt guilty for missing her daughter's special moment. He was so engrossed in Vanessa that he ignored another important thing last night.
Marcell opened the door to the living room. His eyes scanned the surroundings and saw his soon-to-be wife Catherine finally appear.
He sat on the sofa putting on a look between anger and disappointment.
"Oh! Welcome home, Marcell Sebastian." Greet Catherine coldly.
"I'm surprised you found your way back here. I thought you'd forgotten, it's been a day!"
Marcell held his dizzy head and walked towards Catherine.
