Chapter 27 - Results of Edgar's operation 1

First night 12 hours after surgery. From inside Edgar's room came a noise. Adelyn who was unable to sleep because she was worried about her condition asked Riri who was guarding her to help her get into a wheelchair and see Edgar's state.

The doctor and nurse were busy examining Edgar. Adelyn asks to come in, she sees the doctor injecting her medicine and installing a breathing apparatus for her. The doctor explained that Edgar had a swelling of the brain. For a while the drug will be given, the nurse will control every 30 minutes to see its development.

Elisabeth has just returned home. There's only Bram and Henry in the room right now. Adelyn came to her bed and held her hand. He whispered in his ear "Edgar, hang on.."

Adelyn sat holding Edgar's hand and continued to pray that he would make it through tonight. He did not want to move from beside her. Bram arranged for Adelyn's bed to be moved to Edgar's room. Their beds were put in tails. So that Adelyn can continue with him.

Sleeping beside her bed Adelyn remained sleepless, her brain could not stop thinking. He was so scared when he fell asleep something happened to Edgar.

He lay on his side staring at the pale face of Edgar next to him. His heart ached at the helpless Edgar, he touched his cheek slowly.A rough beard grew on his face. His face looks more slender than the last time they were together.

The second day, Edgar had not yet passed his crisis. But Adelyn who had not fallen asleep at all was really alarming. Jovan came in the morning to see her. Seeing she had not rested at all she finally asked the silent nurse to silently inject sedatives in her infusion hose. After he fell asleep, Jovan went to the office for a meeting.

Adelyn fell asleep until the afternoon. He dreamed that the kidnapping was re-recorded in his sleep. Seeing Edgar being brutally beaten by the criminal. He screamed, crying, begging the man to let Edgar go.

His chest felt tight, he could not breathe. He tried to breathe air and then he woke up. Sweat flooded his body. He breathed deeply.

Bram patted his shoulder worried

"Miss, are you okay?"

Adelyn looked at him then nodded. gesturing I was fine.

When his breathing was normal he looked to the side. Edgar is still not awake. Bram gave him a drink. "Edgar hasn't been sober?"

"Not Miss."

"Hi Adelyn." Ken who was sitting on the sofa got up and greeted him.

"Hello Adelyn's. Long time no see." Will smiled next to Ken.

Ken and William had just returned from abroad when they heard the news about Edgar they boarded the first plane.

The first time he met them after five years.nothing changed, they looked more mature. The rest nothing has changed.

Adelyn nodded towards Ken and William. He can not talk much, Adelyn is still traumatized by the events that happened to him. Given how Edgar was mercilessly beaten by the criminal, it was deeply imprinted in his memory.

Then his body was sucked towards the brightly glowing room. He saw a bright sky, not as dark as his previous dream. Slowly he opened his eyes. The face she missed was slowly becoming clearer, Adelyn..

Edgar grabbed his face, he had returned. Back to Adelynnya.

The doctor and nurse went into the hospital room to check on her. Edgar hugged him. "It's not your fault, I didn't expect Alice to go this far. I won't forgive him" Edgar looked angry. He already knew the mastermind behind Adelyn's abduction from Bram. Jovan took care of everything. Even the man who hit Edgar and Adelyn was like a chicken in prison. Apparently Jovan is not responsible for his actions.

"How do you know Jovan?" Edgar saw Jovan who was very close to him.

Adelyn sees Edgar arriving to talk about his relationship with Jovan "We know him on the yacht."

"Ship yacht?" Edgar started counting, apparently they had not known him for long.

Adelyn begins to tell how she got acquainted with Jovan.

"How do you know Jovan yourself?" Adelyn asked back, she saw Edgar sitting at a table with her as they sat at the Royal Pub on a cruise ship.

"I knew him when we were out of school."

After returning here, we also met several times for corporate cooperation.

Edgar thinking about how Jovan treated Adelyn, he saw the way Jovan looked at her. Looks like Jovan already knew Adelyn was his ex-wife. He knew Jovan was finding out about Adelyn's past.
