Chapter 21 - Meeting at Edgar's office

He saw her coming out with Edgar earlier. His face looks very pale. "Do you need anything?" Jovan parked his car in front of a mini market.

Adelyn shook her head slowly. Jovan smiled

"Wait here for a minute."

Adelyn saw him go inside, from the outside she saw the store clerk and the female visitor all looking at Jovan with a look of admiration. He is very handsome, of course, the women are interested in him.

Adelyn closed her eyes. Sitting leaning in his car felt very comfortable, he almost fell asleep when he felt his cheek touch something cold.

"Drink.." Jovan looked gently at him. He opened the lid of the mineral water and gave it to Adelyn. He looked at her worriedly.

"Your face is very pale. Are you sick?"

Jovan stood in front of the old drug counter earlier, thinking what pain did Adelyn have? What should I buy medication? Finally, he decided to buy mineral water.

Adelyn smiled weakly then shook her head. "I'm okay." So he went to the mini market just to buy me a drink. He did not see Jovan carrying anything other than his drink.

Jovan nodded and started running his vehicle.

When they got to the bottom of the apartment. He saw Jovan shut off the machine. Adelyn was confused why did she turn off the machine?

Jovan got out of the car and walked around to the passenger door, opening the door for him. Accompany her to the apartment lobby and hold the door for her, saying

"Good up and rest. I'll wait here a minute. Call me if you need anything."

"I'm fine, it's been a night you better just go home."

"Come in."

Adelyn nodded then walked towards the elevator. He looked through the glass wall of Jovan's driveway into his parked car, then lit a cigarette.

Enter Adelyn's apartment in the shower and get ready for a break. He wondered if Jovan was still downstairs. Then he sent wa to him "I've arrived above in my bed safely:) "Adelyn gave him the icon of a smile.

"Haha, rest.."

"Are you still downstairs?"

"Hmmm.."

"Is it cold outside? Go home I'm fine."

"Not really. Can't I accompany you from down here?" Jovan doesn't want to go home yet. Even going home her mind was full of Adelyn. He felt standing here, being around him made him feel better. Even if it is just standing under the apartment.

There's an incoming message on his phone. His friends wait for him at the Hot Spot Club they book a vip room, Jovan is not interested. He looked up, trying to guess which apartment Adelyn was in.

"Of course I can. Will you go up to my apartment?" It feels bad not to offer it. She did not want to invite him to her apartment

"Not now;) "Jovan gave the icon a wink

"You're not sleepy?" Jovan asked.

"Not so."

"May I ask you something?"

"Yes?" He was confused what he would ask

"What happened when you got out of the ballroom? When you don't want to talk about it it's okay."

Jovan saw him talking to Edgar as they parted ways at the hotel.

"I met someone I knew."

"Oohs.. Haha.just ask. Are you feeling better now?" He was still worried about her considering how pale her face had been when they were at the hotel.

"It's better."

"Rest early."

" Okay, Goodnight Adelyn."

"Goodnight Jovan's. And thank you for today."

Jovan doesn't reply anymore.

Not far from where he was standing, Edgar from the car saw Jovan sitting on his car's hood while replying to a message with someone.

Jovan stood for a long time under Adelyn's apartment, then he got in the car and drove to the Hot Spot Club. He entered a private room. They party as usual, drink drink spend time.

Lily is an LC who used to accompany her to drink while she was there. She saw Lily was there. But today he does not want company. Jovan gives her a pretty good tip and signs with her hand so Lily doesn't bother her.

Lily is confused, she is happy to accompany Jovan to drink all this time. Jovan is not like other customers who often harass him.

He was very happy when he heard that Jovan was coming. But now he threw her out. made her feel very upset.

That morning the sky was clear.

Today he will meet with Edgar's yacht company. They will discuss the interior design of the passenger cabin of the Queen Adele cruise ship.

Queen Adele is a cruise ship that the company will launch next year. Adelyn was getting ready to walk out of her apartment. Because their meeting time is 09:30

The meeting went well.

After the meeting, Adelyn was cleaning up some documents on the table. When Bram told him that Edgar was waiting for him in his office.

What would he say? Why didn't it say during the meeting? Adelyn was reluctant to follow Bram up to her room.

Up above the room with an all-white interior and exclusive welcome it. Office design looks luxurious, the floor is made of granite. He entered a room, in which there were three tables, and three secretaries who were busy typing, and sorting out documents.

In front of him was another door, Bram knocked twice and held the door for him to let him in.

Edgar was sitting behind his desk. Check some documents. Bram passed out of the room leaving the two of them.

He lifted his head and stood up from his chair. Being alone with Adelyn in a closed room makes him not bear to want to approach and embrace her, he misses her.

He approached her, touching her hair that had decomposed around her shoulders. So pretty. His longing was no longer held back. He hugged Adelyn into his arms,

"Stay away from Jovan, he's not who you think he is!"

Adelyn broke out of her embrace.

"Did you call me just to say this?"

"Adelyn don't fight me, you have to stay away from Jovan."

"What right do you have to take care of me? I'm close to no one has anything to do with you. If there's no..."

Bra!kkkk!! The sound of the office door opening.

If there's nothing else you want to say I'll get out of here. That's what he was going to say when Alice barged in.

He looked at Adelyn with a hostile look. Bram looked behind him with a helpless look.

"Who let him in!?" Edgar was really angry looking at Bram.

Alice seemed indifferent to Edgar's anger, she did not care about his unexpected arrival here.

Adelyn's way out left them all still in Edgar's office. He felt like there was nothing he could do here anymore. He didn't want a room with Alice and Edgar, a room with them still hurt him.

Although he saw for himself how Edgar had treated Alice, there was no tenderness, only coldness and a cold look at Alice. But Adelyn didn't see that. He only thought of Edgar who had impregnated Alice.

He pushed the elevator button. Seeing the elevator used specifically for the floor in Edgar's office crept up he could not wait, he took a walk through the stairs down one floor below and he would take the elevator for employees from the bottom floor.
