Choosing to Let Go

Choosing to Let Go
episode 13

Cicha Pov

The sound of the dawn adhan that sounded so melodious from the mushola not far from home, woke me up from the sound of my sleep.

Immediately I got out of my bed, rushed to the bathroom, cleaned myself up and took some ablution water.

After the dawn prayer, I made my bed. I saw the wall clock in the corner of the room, still five in the morning. I'm thinking of helping you prepare breakfast first.

In the courtyard of the shop that was not too wide, I saw the father who was watering flowers. As for my two sisters, busy cleaning up the scattered garbage.

Yeah, I came home from out of town the day after I got home from the hospital. Dad often went out of town because of the demands of work from the office where he worked.

"Morning father...morning deck...!" my broom, put my foot in the kitchen.

"For sister...!" both my sister and my father answered with a smile.

from the kitchen door, I saw you peeling red onions. I also saw that some of the groceries were ready on the kitchen table.

"Morning Bun!" I kissed Mom's cheek when I was next to her.

"To my beautiful son !" he replied, kissing my cheek. It was already like our bolt ritual in the morning.

This is the story of what we do every morning. My brother and I always helped our parents do the homework we could. Our parents taught us to do jobs that were not burdensome for us. Wishing me and my sisters to be independent and not spoiled children.

Especially me as a daughter, as well as the first child. Mother was a little harsh on me, while teaching me to do homework. Like cleaning the house, washing, especially cooking. Mommy hopes that I will not only become a highly educated woman, but I will also be good at home affairs. So that I may become a dream wife for my husband and become my beloved daughter-in-law. I always felt something tickle in my heart when I remembered my mother saying all that. Hhhh. I don't know, why did you think that far ?? Maybe I can feel it when I'm a wife.

Pov Keyndra

I don't know what made me excited today. Maybe because he could go to school again. I could have stayed with her longer at school. Despite just looking at her, seeing her smile, hearing her voice and momentarily spending time together during the break.

I don't know why now he's like an opium to me. Can't see it for a day, makes me not passionate at all. I want to have her completely, I want her to be with me forever.

I have felt this feeling for a long time. As long as he keeps his feelings to me.

Something made me dare not start. I was afraid I would hurt him deeper. I was afraid that I would leave him. And it would be even harder for me to let go if this feeling went deeper.

An internal family problem that I think is too complicated to understand. And maybe only some people can understand it.

But from now on I'm determined, no matter what happens I will fight for the people I love. I'm sure if it's just my parents, I can give an explanation and I'm sure they can understand. But I'm not sure about the others.

I am sure of what my decision is. I'm not giving up this time. I will make the people I love happy forever. Without disappointing anyone who loves me.

Maybe it's too early for me to say I can't live without him. But that's the reality I feel.

Someone who is willing to harbor his feelings, just because they want to keep my feelings. Never wanted to make me burdened. Because he thinks only he has and feels that love.

Without anyone ever knowing if all this time I was also tormented with the same feelings. But I feel how naive and stupid I have been, as a man who cannot fight for his love.

From now on, for the sake of one name I will fight for it. For the sake of that one name I will become a strong man.

Cicha Ayunda Prameswari... That is the name that will forever be engraved in my heart.

Cicha is ready for her full school uniform. His school backpack was also hanging on his shoulder.

"Sir.. Cepetan down, the father of the same mother is waiting for breakfast !" bisma shouted one of Cicha's sisters, calling out to Cicha who was still in her room.

"Yes dek..just a little brother down." Reply to Cicha who is ready at the door of her room.

Cicha muttered in his heart when he saw Keyndra's motorbike parked in front of his house. But there is no visible for the big bike.

"Cha let's have a sneak, nih nak Key has been waiting for you from earlier." Mother said when Cicha got to the dinner table.

Keyndra was sitting at the dinner table with the rest of the Cicha family. Cicha felt a warm atmosphere when he reached the dining table. Keyndra laughs off occasionally while joking with Cicha's two sisters. Even Cicha's father is hard to get close to others, let alone Cicha's boy friend. It seemed comfortable talking to Keyndra, as they had known each other for a long time. Cicha's father looked delighted, heard from the sound of their crisp laughter.

"Pipetan Cha breakfast, you want us to be late. Don't daydream!" said Keyndra suddenly disperse the reverie of Cicha.

"Yes - i - yes...have you eaten Key's breakfast?" ask Cicha while putting food on her plate.

"Udah, even added me earlier. Hhhh. Thank you Cha your cooking is delicious, delicious in fact, not in vain I invite you to part." Praise Keyndra for showing her empty plate.

"Wait for you later, so we'll have breakfast first, pity son Key." Cicha's father is seen defending Keyndra.

Cicha blushed in embarrassment, her face blushing hearing Keyndra praise her cooking. Just lowered his head while finishing the food on his plate. Dare not look at the young man sitting in front of him. While Keyndra just smiled at the behavior of the girl.

"Ehh... How do you know I cook??" cicha asked suddenly as she was done finishing her breakfast.

"Mother said that. Mommy also said you're a cook." Keyndra replied, his eyes glancing at Mother Cicha.

Mommy just smiled at the behavior of the young man who was close to his daughter.

"Cha I will pick you up every day, as long as you can eat your cooking. You know, you're a dream wife. Mama must be happy to meet you. My mom is also a hobby cook. Hhhhh." Whether consciously or not Keyndra said that in front of both parents Cicha.

Cicha was silent, her mouth seemed to be unable to make any more noise. Embarrassed, misbehaved and confused by what Keyndra said earlier.

"Have already gone to school. You'll be late." the father said.

"For Cicha to wear trousers for Daleman. Cook yes riding a big bike kayak that only wear gini skirts. Shame Cicha.." said Cicha running towards her room picking up her pants.

Cicha is ready, they say goodbye to father and mother. While Cicha's two sisters had already left first.

"Assalamualaikum father.. mother.."her second camel, kissed the backs of the parents' hands, alternately.

"Wa'alaikum hail... Careful, don't speed. Titip son father same mother yes son Key."

Keyndra nodded his head and smiled, confirming what Cicha's parents had said.

The big bike has left Cicha's house. Splitting the road in the morning.

An awkward atmosphere enveloped the two men. Not a word came out. Just the noise of the road.

I don't know what's on their minds right now. (Only the author knows. Hehehe). But sure their hearts are currently overgrown with flowers that are blooming.
