Bitter Tongue In-Law

Bitter Tongue In-Law
9. The more complicated

Arga spent the afternoon until midnight to be quiet in a place where people rarely come there. He needs to be alone and time to himself. The complaints from his mother and the confession from Nuna had enough to make him slump today. There is no day more broken than today. Even the death of the Father alone, he was not as bad, though equally broken, as painful, but both feelings now hit his heart as twice as much as the death of the Father.

A flash of memory of himself and his wife dancing above his head. The togetherness that is not short and the mistakes that they have ever done in fact done Nuna with other men as well. At least that's what filled his head room.

The cold air pierced to the deepest part of his body making him force himself to go home. He did not know what time it was now, which he knew was dark, silent, silent, and gripping. All his life, only this time he was out of the house until this late.

°°°

"You look at this. It's one in the morning and Arga hasn't come home yet. He's never been like this before. If anything happens to my son, I will not hesitate to drive you out of this house. I don't care if you're pregnant. The foetus in your belly is not necessarily the flesh blood of my son."

The two women who did not get along were waiting in the living room restlessly. They are waiting for the same person. The only man in the house since this afternoon did not come home, and his phone was not taken.

Nuna was about to deny her mother-in-law's words, but the sound of a motorbike stopping in the yard made the two women turn their eyes and walk in the same direction.

They find Arga who looks messed with clothes that even since this morning he was wearing. The messy looking hair and face must have been a pity for anyone who saw it. No smell of alcohol made the two women relieved.

"What the fuck is this Arga? You are troubled and down like this because of this woman who has deceived you? Come on, don't make him clap more and more with the destruction of you."

"Mas, I lied to you. I'm not honest with you, but my lies aren't big. My lies can still be forgiven, even though I realized, I knew I was wrong. That's why I'm sorry, my lies are not as big as a betrayal. Why is it so big for you?"

Chaotic thoughts, tired bodies, and circumstances that hit him make Arga's unstable emotions back up to the crown.

"A big lie? I don't know you now, Nuna. A crime of this magnitude you consider a small lie? You are the one I made my future, but you also destroyed me and my future. We'll split up after you give birth if you think it's a small mistake you made." Arga passed both women just like that.

Nuna's chest felt a great rumble, a quick heartbeat as if it would kill her right then and there. Separated just because he wasn't honest about his work? This really doesn't make sense.

"Mas," said Nuna after waking up from her daydream. She turned around to catch up with her husband who had just slammed the door. However, his hand that was blocked by Bu Ningsih forced him to stop stepping.

"Can't hear that? It seems that your presence is now unwanted by my son. And it would be better if you were also self-conscious, Nuna. Stay away from my child, don't get close! You just make him angry, it's not good for his health. From now on realize your position. After you give birth, you are no longer the wife of my child. Let's just say for nine months, my son is alms the same woman who does need alms."

"Who? Without diminishing my respect for Mother, is it appropriate for the word alms to be reserved for me? I am his wife and I am pregnant with his child. How did Mom say what she gave later was alms for me?"

"Do you know what you're pretending not to understand? It was clear just now that my son said, that you and Arga will separate after giving birth. The lies you consider small are big for Arga."

Bu Ningsih's gaze increasingly looked sharp and cruel. Of course Nuna did not accept what she heard. The mistake he made was not as big as the impact of this lie. How could Arga give him unbalanced consequences?

"Mom don't be happy, ma'am. I still have a chance of about six months to make Mas Arga believe in me again. We don't know what happens in the future. So just go for it and do not imagine things that are not necessarily happening. Don't be too happy or sad about anything you hear today."

Basic women do not know themselves, we will see later who will control Arga.

Nuna found her husband lying down with his body covered in a blanket. The woman walked slowly and sat down beside Arga who was lying on her back to the door.

As if she knew what Nuna was doing, Arga opened her voice, "Don't talk to me about anything. I want to sleep."

Nuna gulped her saliva blankly, she got up from her seat and laid her body beside her husband. At the same time, Arga moved his body position to face the door, aka turning his back to Nuna. The woman simply responded with a stifled cry.

During the marriage, no matter how angry Arga was, the man never slept by turning his back on her. The woman was crying in silence at what time. All he knew was that he had just closed his eyes when he heard the sound of the dawn prayer.

Nuna's activities are always the same every day. The housework is still he who does, although the work is recognized by his mother-in-law if he is the one who works. Nuna didn't bother about it.

Arga came to the dining table as Nuna prepared her cooking to the table.

"Newly I want to wake up, do you want to eat first what shower first?"

Instead of answering his wife's question, Arga shouted to his mother.

"I want to eat my mother's cooking" Arga said after her mother arrived. He left after saying that.

"Still believing it can reclaim Arga's trust? The words you gave yesterday should not be spoken to me, but say and emphasize to yourself." Bu Ningsih smiled at one corner of her lips.

Nuna was about to drop her tears when the door sounded on tap. He cleaned the clear liquid at the end of his eyes and walked to the main door.

"Good morning, Ma'am. Is this really Nuna Kumala Sari's house?" ask a well-dressed girl.

"Ah yeah, what's up, huh?"

"I want to give this back, I'm Bianca Ma'am. His brother Mas Bian. He told me to get this back to Ma'am's house." Bianca thrusts a medium size pink bag.

"Yes my. I completely forgot about it. Thank you, yes and apologize to Bian. Sorry if I've been a hassle. Thanks again, come in?"

"Ah no, Ma'am. Next time, I have to go to college. Excuse me."
