Bitter Tongue In-Law

Bitter Tongue In-Law
75.

Mr. Lukman and his wife ran down the aisle of the hospital. Hearing the news of his son and grandson and his former candidate had a severe accident made the two parents panic instead of playing. A few drops of clear search had even wetted the cheeks of the woman who gave birth to Nuna 29 years ago.

"Well, that's Nuna. That's Nuna, right? Athaghfirullah, Na's. How are you doing?" Nuna's mother ran to her son's seat not far from her. He wanted to touch Nuna's face, but her head was wrapped in bandages and there were some wounds on her face to make him stop doing it.

Nuna immediately hugged her mother as she sat beside Nuna. Withstanding the pain in his open wound he wept bitterly on the mother's shoulder.

"So is sick? Where does it hurt? Tell me about Mom. Why are you sitting here? you should have had treatment." Nuna's mother looked worried.

"Don't cry, son. It's an open wound, it can hurt" said Mr. Lukman who actually in his heart wondered where and how his grandson and Bian were doing.

"Mom, Dad, how am I not sad. Cashel and Bian are still being treated by doctors. The doctor said they had serious injuries. We've been here half a day, but the doctor hasn't finished yet." Nuna seemed to not care about her face that had a scuff wound in several places. He kept his tears blowing away the sadness he felt.

The two people in the room were struggling. I don't know what injuries and what parts made the doctor say that they were severe injuries and made both of them not finished being acted on even though it was almost night.

"We pray the best, they are strong, Na. They can get through this." Mr. Lukman sat next to his son who was laying down his head leaning on the shoulder comfortably with Mother.

A minute passed, the ER door was heard opening from within. In the next second, one doctor and one nurse held a chest board in her hand.

"Doctor how is my son and my future husband?" asked Nuna without a stale base.

"The patient had a pretty hard knock. Being thrown from the car and falling on the asphalt made both of them suffer internal and external injuries, plus they were a little late to get handling until finally the blood came out quite a lot especially small ones. We've dealt with everything, both internal and external injuries. Both are currently critical and need blood transfusions. The problem is that your child's blood is pretty rare here, and we don't have an AB-blood supply. We'll keep trying to find the blood type, but if we can, you and your family will also help to find patients to get quick treatment."

Nuna was sitting on the floor limply, not enough energy to be tough in conditions that made her limp. His stomach that had been sore at noon because of hunger was now replaced with a heart that made him want to change himself with Bian and Cashel.

"But they're gonna be okay, right, doc?" Mr. Lukman was devastated by the news he had heard.

Nuna grew sobbing in her mother's arms. There was no hysterical sound or roar of sadness, only Nuna's sobbing could make the hearts of her parents hurt as well.

"Dad try to contact your friends to find the same blood as Cashel. I brought Nuna into the room, who knows that Nuna's presence can make them stronger."  Mr. Lukman helped his wife's son to stand up.

Nuna forced herself to be strong and dared to enter the room of the boy and boy who would soon become her priest. The happy thought that soon he will become a bride is just destroyed, he did not have time to think about it again, he said, his mind was already filled with the words of the doctor who had just spoken about the condition of the two men who were the source of his happiness.

Nuna sobbed in silence after a few seconds trying to hold back her tears. Seeing Bian and Cashel sleeping in a row like this made his heart hurt. The painful wound was more than his current wound and also the wound that was given by Arga. It was much more painful than anything he had experienced.

"Nuna I know you definitely do not accept this situation. I know it's tough, but we have to be strong for them. They need support from you to wake up. I'm sure Bian and Cashel don't like to see you in this situation. Strong for them, son. You're their source of power." Nuna's mother was just as devastated to see her future daughter-in-law and granddaughter lying helplessly on top of the gurney, coupled with the intension of hospital equipment attached to their bodies make Mother Nuna not up to the heart to see longer.

However, what else could he do besides trying to be strong and tough. Seeing Nuna who was so fragile he could not show his sadness as well. Who will strengthen his son, he thought.

Nuna and her mother sit between the two gurneys containing Bian and Cashel. His eyes stared at the two in turn. How broken his heart was at this moment seeing the two men lying helplessly with some wounds adorning their bodies and faces.

"Nuna, try to be strong, son. Give them strength." Nuna's mother wiped away the tears that kept dripping wet her cheeks.

Nuna just nodded her head a sign of understanding. For a moment he was confused who to talk to first. As if understanding Nuna's confusion, the mother was moved to walk closer to Cashel's bed.

Nuna looked at Bian with a sad look. He had seen Bian in this condition before. But not as bad as now, even so, he should have been strong and believed that the man would definitely survive for him. But yahh happens exactly the opposite.

By trying her hardest to toughen up, Nuna forced her lips to pull upwards, "You were once in this position, I'm sure you'll be able to survive let alone promise you'll make a wedding as luxurious and as I want. The day is near, dear. If you don't wake up, how am I? Do you want to make me feel sad twice? Awake, yes. It's not okay our marriage is backwards, the important thing is that you wake up first. I just want you to wake up." Nuna strengthened her heart to grasp Bian's long fingers.

"I'm sorry I didn't heed your desire to see me wear the dress we designed ourselves. You may punish me, but do not punish me in this way. Wake up, Bian." Nuna put Bian's hand on her cheek and hugged the burly hand tightly.
