Bitter Tongue In-Law

Bitter Tongue In-Law

For almost two days, Cashel has not yet received a donor for his life. Everyone is still trying to get that rare red liquid. While Bian had already passed his critical period even though the man had no signs of opening his eyes.

Anxiety and worry about unwanted things keep popping up in Nuna's mind. Effort and prayer have been done, but there is no sign of the effort they do produce little results.

"There's no other choice but to call Arga. It's been a last resort, Cashel needs Arga for his survival or we'll regret it forever." Mr. Lukman finally opened his voice about the thoughts that he had wanted to speak for two days.

"I don't want to. I don't want this to be Arga's chance to take Cashel away from me, Dad."

"Nuna, all this time I have never interfered about your household and Arga is over. Listen to me this time, just this once. Lower your ego a little so you can keep looking at your child. Your self-esteem will not collapse with you asking Arga for help on this. Regardless of your past, Cashel can't be a victim."

The debate between the son and the father continues. Mr. Lukman cares nothing but Cashel to be saved, while Nuna still hopes there is a miracle of God that can save the child without having to accept or ask for the help of her ex-husband.

But what power, it seems that what Nuna hopes for is not supported by the universe. No one can break a blood relationship as bad as anything. Who would have thought Arga was now walking with his anxious face in the same hospital hallway as Cashel. The bad feeling lately made Arga tighten her heart to meet again with the child. No matter how Cashel's mother responds, for him to see the only child he has will relieve his heart. He did not know why the unpleasant feeling arose simultaneously and was adrift with Cashel. I don't know, only that kid got caught up in his mind.

However, when Arga comes to Nuna's house, it's not Nuna or the child she thinks she met. The house looks quiet and there is only Nizar at home. Nuna's sister said that the nephew had an accident and was treated at the hospital which turned out to be quite far from Nuna's house. No matter how far Arga traveled, it did not matter to him that it was important he could see the state of the child. In general, people who have lived in regret will like that, will do anything for the sake of an apology and the return of good relationships.

"Cashel needs a blood donor, Mas. Everyone's confused looking for a blood match Cashel." The short sentence from Nizar really made Arga's ears buzz along the way to the hospital. Her tears accompanied her journey that afternoon.

After a long walk, Arga finally found Nuna and her parents who were sitting outside with Nuna crying. He stopped for a moment to hear their conversation.

"Well, we don't know people's thoughts. He can pretend to change to look for our lack of gap. I've lived with him, Dad. I don't want her blood in my son's body."

Like being hit by dozens of large stones, really sick and tight chest Arga. He had heard that he had received an apology from Nuna, he had forgotten everything, but his confidence had apparently not returned as it was. Sick? Obviously, but he tried to be sincere and accepting, he realized that what was ordinary today was the result of what he did yesterday. But is the punishment this heavy? Now should he step back or stay forward?

Doctors who were examining Cashel and Bian came out and told him that blood donation should be done no later than two hours from now.

"Doctor, why does it take so much blood? The hospital got it, why look for it again?" Nuna asked in frustration.

Without a doubt Arga came forward as if he did not care what he had just heard that Nuna did not want any of her blood to flow through the blood of the child.

"I'm her real father, doc. I am willing to give you as much blood as I can. Please take my blood immediately."

Nuna and her parents immediately set their eyes to the side. Dislike just burst into Nuna's chest.

"No one asked for your blood, there's still someone else's blood I can buy."

"Then do it! Why didn't you do from the beginning of Cashel's accident? Why wait a few days? You think your son's life could you try?" Arga ended up furious also for what was done by his ex-wife. He did not know, rather just know the selfishness of Nuna who was apparently high as well. It was like he did not know the woman who had accompanied him long enough, how much pain did the wound he gave up his ego was also this high?

"Who set me up? Not once! I don't want to owe the wrong guy."

Arga smiled wryly, "A debt of gratitude? There is no such term in a father's relationship with his son. What do you want to deny again? To reject reality in what way? Please Nuna, hate me as you please but don't sacrifice your child. Want to kill me even if I don't care, but please, don't let your ego rule you and sacrifice your son. Do you want your son to be safe or not? Your only problem is with me, not your son."

"Never teach me anything! People like you don't deserve to remind anyone of anything."

"Whatever! I know my mistakes are big, my mistakes are unforgivable. I have a big mistake does not mean you never have any wrong, we are both sinners just in different ways. God alone can forgive His servant who truly repents, you who determines I should not remind anyone? You and I both got it wrong, you ever I dzolimi does not mean you can judge me. I can't help you, I can't help my son, I want to give life to him. Who's happy if he's still around us?"

Shut up Nuna's mouth. Her lips were tightly locked as if Arga's words were stabbing her slowly. The two humans were still staring at each other in sharpness.

"Bring me, doc! I want to save my son for his mother's happiness."

The test!

One tear just dripped. Whether Nuna wept for what, lost the debate or was angry and upset for failing to prevent Arga or was she crying because of Arga's last words?
