Trying Sincere?

Gevin returns to his room with Zaina. He looked at his sleeping wife behind him. Gevin immediately climbed onto the bed and hugged Zaina from behind. He knew that if his wife hadn't slept, he was just pretending to be asleep.

"Darling, I'm doing this only I feel sorry for Lolyta. The doctor has also said that there is no more hope for Lolyta's recovery this time. Because somehow, I don't have the heart of her situation right now"

Zaina really still survives in a position that pretends to be asleep. He's not talking about Lolyta. Because everything about Lolyta and Gevin just makes her chest tight.

Gevin sighed softly, stroking Zaina's head gently and giving her a gentle kiss on his wife's shoulder.

"Good sleep, dear" she whispered as she hugged Zaina tighter.

Feeling Gevin's regular breathing, Zaina opened her eyes immediately. He turned around and looked at the sleeping Gevin with his hands still hugging his body. Zaina's tears just trickled down, not because she was a great woman who could easily give up her husband to marry his ex-wife. But because he knows how Lolyta is, and Gevin who also still loves his ex-lover.

So anyway, Zaina cannot continue to be selfish and keep the man she loves while there is another heart that loves and is loved by her husband.

I'm doing this just for your happiness. Especially with Lolyta's condition like this makes me feel like I'm the most evil human being, if it doesn't give her a chance to marry you.

This morning while Zaina was cooking for breakfast, Lolyta approached her with the wheelchair she was using.

"Za, I want to talk to you for a minute"

Zaina lifted her homemade fried rice into the container. Then put it on the dining table. Zaina sighed softly, she tried to be casual to Lolyta.

Zaina sighed softly, she looked at Lolyta with her eyes still puffy due to crying too much yesterday. "I know if you love each other. The marriage of Gevin and I also happened because of an arranged marriage. Because until now the heart and love of Gevin is only for you. All this time we've only done the marriage charade in front of our parents, as if we were indeed a happy and loving couple"

"But Za, how about your parents find out about all this. They'll be mad at me and you"

Zaina smiled faintly hearing that, she stroked the back of Lolyta's hand that was on her lap. "For that, don't let them know. Me and Gevin will keep playing in front of them all. So you married Gevin without their knowledge. No papa, right?"

Lolyta nodded along with the tears that had fallen just like that. She was so moved by Zaina's sincerity. "Very papa, Za. Getting married to Gevin is like getting heaven in my life. Thank you Za, because you've been so kind to me. Gave me the chance to get married to the man I loved long ago"

"Now that I have breakfast first Ly, I want to call Gevin to breakfast together" said Zaina

Zaina passed to her room to see her husband. Just when Zaina came into the room, Gevin also just came out of the dressing room. He was neat in his office clothes.

"Good morning, dear" Gevin said with a big smile on Zaina

He looks very happy, probably because now he can marry the woman he loves. Zaina muttered in her heart. She approached Gevin, confirming the tie her husband wore was slightly slanted.

"Your mom works too? Then who's Lolyta with at home?" zaina asked confusedly, as she also had to keep working.

"I've paid the nurse who accompanied Lolyta if we're not home. You take it easy" Gevin said as he stroked his wife's head.

"Oh yeah, where's Lolyta now?" gevin asked Zaina who was gushing in front of the dresser. Soon he had to go to school.

"At breakfast, I've made fried rice for us"

"Pedas isn't fried rice?" ask Gevin

"I love chili si, but not much and not too spicy also in my opinion"

"Geez, honey, it's not in your opinion but different from Lolyta who is sick" Gevin's circus with a slightly high tone of voice to Zaina.

Zaina was silent, she looked at Gevin who just passed out of the room because she was worried that Lolyta would be okay because she ate her cooking rice that was slightly spicy.

"When he realized he was sick, he could make sandwiches if he knew the food I was making was spicy" Zaina told herself.

Zaina immediately finished preparing, then she followed Gevin out of the room. Zaina looked at her husband who was pouring a glass of milk for Lolyta.

It's like Gevin hasn't behaved like that to me in years. Maybe it's because I don't love him, different from Lolyta.

"Lolyta, I'm sorry I forgot that there was you. So the fried rice even I'm spicy"

Lolyta smiled at Zaina, she knew it was impossible for Zaina to be on purpose. "No papa Za, I know that the rice is spicy. So I made the sandwich just to be safe"

Zaina sighed in relief, grateful that Lolyta understood and did not make Zaina so wrong in Gevin's eyes.
