The Angel of Time

The Angel of Time
chapter 9

People are still passing around this place, a place where many people capture the beautiful moments of the scenery in that place, Top Selfie Kragilan, which is in Kragilan Village, Kec. Fern, Magelang.

The air feels cool even though the sky is starting to give news that it will soon rain. We rushed to the motor park to leave the place immediately. I turned on my bike and left the place. Astrid seems to be holding my jacket in my pocket on my waist. His hands were tight as if he was afraid of falling off my bike. Indeed, my motorcycle seat has been modified so that it becomes up to the back, so it will sag forward.

On the way we could not deny, the rain flushed us who were about to start the journey, we stopped at the corner of the road and took shelter in a small, very simple shop, with a bamboo fence as a wall covered with plastic so that rainwater does not go inside. Yes we took shelter before getting soaked. A woman around the age of 30 years approached us who was sitting on a bamboo chair and a table was available. And there appear to be snacks such as fried bananas, salak, tofu, and other fried foods.

"Monggo please, would you like a drink?" hail the mother very kindly.

"You want a drink?", Astrid asked me.

"Teh anget aja me." answered me.

"Yes, Mom, two-bit tea, ma'am!" astrid's Message.

"Oh nggih, in the middle of the sky." replied the mother.

After a few minutes, she had brought the drink we ordered.

"Monggo on a drink." Said the Mother.

"Yes, ma'am, thank you." Astrid answered.

I saw Astrid start drinking tea with both hands holding the glass as if to warm her hands.

"It's cold here too, it feels like Wonosobo" Astrid said after drinking her tea.

"Yes po? I've never been there." I replied.

"Gio, take a look! My mouth is out of smoke."

"That's not smoke,"

"It's smoke, I can smoke without having to smoke."

"That's because of the fog, and we're drinking anget tea."

"Bright.. Huhh.. Exit smoke. Try gio, follow me!"

"Hahaha, don't want to ah."

His behavior makes me laugh, like he looks innocent, but that's the one I just met with his behavior.

"Gio, do you want some salak?"

"You want to buy?"

"Yes it can."

Astrid bought a salak that might be quite a lot in my opinion, half a kilo. The rain began to subside, the atmosphere, the air in these mountains still pierced my jacket and felt piercing my skin.

"Gio, I can still steam out. Huhh..." Astrid gawked as she let out smoke that she called steam.

"So smoke, now steam?" I said.

"It's the steam of his name, I love it!"

"It's a fog ah."

"I like water, I like rain, I like steam."

We went through the road with the terrain turning and going up and down. Roads that are still wet because the rain has not dried up, begin to be inundated when the rain starts to fall back. We were rained on the way, lucky enough we saw a meatball stall. We took shelter in the meatball stall, and on my bike, I parked right in front of the mosque across the street. We ate meatballs while waiting for the rain to stop.

"I want to pee" said Astrid.

"Where are you peeing?" my many.

"It's a mosque, you want ashar prayers too."

"Yes, I'm waiting in front of the mosque."

After eating meatballs, we headed to the mosque. The air was so cold, my jacket was wet. My body shivered because my jacket, clothes, and pants were wet to my shoes.

I saw that Astrid was done and approached me.

"You're so wet, so are you wearing my jacket?"

"No, you wear it, you get cold!"

"No, my shirt is slashed." Astrid took off her jacket.

I wear the jacket and it's small, but it's fit enough to cover the cold. We continued our journey down the road that connects us to Jln. Mulyo temple. The rain did not seem to subside, and we continued to break the cold at that time.

The morning sky looks brighter and does not show a beam of light. Until the sky began to appear dark was approaching magrib.

Astrid's hands began to hug my waist. Maybe he's cold. Or he doesn't want me to get cold. I hesitated, and reminded him.

"It's a rich gini position, is it okay?"

She took off her arms, and answered nothing. I don't know what made him hug me and I don't know what made his hand let go.
