The noise of cars and motorbikes one by one left the front parking lot of the mosque. A middle-aged man in a blue-black batik suit wearing a brown peci, began to close the iron gate fence which signaled to people to leave the mosque area immediately.
We rushed back to our wet shoes. We had to wear those shoes again, the falling rain no longer sounded noisy. Quite subsided but still this drizzle still accompanies this long night.
We rushed when I started my bike. On the way down the already deserted city of Magelang, we left the square, precisely the mosque where we shelter. Truly that day could not enjoy the place, even we could only shelter in the Mosque which was located next to the square. I murmured, was he disappointed to arrive at this place in such a wet state. There's a lot I want to say, but I still don't talk too much. And that's when I started to open the conversation.
When my body began to shiver because it hit the rain that was not quite as heavy. Astrid's hand reached back to my waist, her hand tightly hugging. Maybe he meant to help me not get cold.
"I've been talking all day to you in Indonesian. And this is really the first time."
"Yes? Let you speak Indonesian."
"It's good, it's Indonesian. When are you going to work again?"
"Tomorrow to enter."
"What shift entry?" much
"Said Mr. Matin in the morning to enter."
I feel relieved, glad for sure. He's back at work. I didn't want to be away from him, and I kept convincing him not to resign. Until finally he can still go back to work where I work.
"In Magelang rich in Bogor, the air is cool." Astrid chirped.
"You likey?" much
"Like it." she answered.
On the way down Magelang City to Jogja so it became a long night, the pace of my bike was quite slow, because I could not stand the cold that night.
I still wonder why he hugged me. Twice we walked together. I tried to tease him.
"She wants to come here again. I wish I were in Jogja much longer."
"Yes married to me, let me be a magelang haha."
She only smiled as I teased her, I had already started to be a little chatty before her.
"Why do you work there?" my many.
"Yes, make my free time more than join in the room" he replied.
I asked a lot of questions about the reasons he worked at Sambel Cowek. But for me this is a destiny that brings little happiness when I am with it.
Our journey was still quite far away, and he had stopped hugging me, arriving at Jln. The rain started to fall again.
"Gio you're still cold?" He hugged me again.
I only resigned as he hugged me again, I was also very cold. From afternoon until night like this. Rain still waters the earth.
On the way we discussed for the purpose after, he said he was hungry and he wanted to eat at pecel catfish, even though his favorite pecel catfish was in Janti. But we can't go there either. Yes, arriving at Jakal we passed the cost, as well as passing the Mess where we work.
I pressed the brakes and clutch to stop the speed of my bike, Astrid pointed to a simple tent, where the catfish pecel was to the right of the road. We decided to take shelter again and look for drinks and food that could warm our wet bodies.
Astrid walked into the simple tent, I parked my bike next to the tent. I took off my jacket and I put it on the side seat of the tent, I caught up with her coming in to get her to order something to warm me up.
A gentleman greeted us with a smile, and let us sit down and order a meal.
"Sir, I pesen catfish in dry fry! Gio you what?"
"I'm the same, catfish in dry fry too."
"Sir, the catfish is two, huh? Drink two hot teas."
After finishing ordering, we sat down at the lesehan available at the place. He came with the drink we ordered. I immediately held the glass with both hands that were already very cold. As I sipped the tea, Astrid also seemed to enjoy the tea that she ordered to warm up.
