The Angel of Time
chapter 44

A cold morning enveloped the atmosphere of the day, the cold air as if piercing to my bones. All that I felt when my eyes began to open, realizing that today I entered the morning shift and then I opened the blanket that covered my body. I turned to the left as Omes and Cahyo were still sleeping soundly.

"Mess.. Tangi." I wiggled her legs so she would wake up. While Cahyo immediately woke up when I heard my voice calling Omes, after twice I called Omes was awake. I folded my blanket and went to the bathroom.

After showering and getting dressed, I looked at the employee admission schedule. I'm looking for Astrid's name on the schedule attached to the wall. It turns out he was still in the afternoon.

We all got together to split up the jobdesc today. After I split up, I started preparing.

The time has shown at 14:55 WIB, some employees have started arriving. They walked to the cashier to make a presence. My heart began to dag dig dug and my stomach felt mules. Habits when I start to worry, and usually it's a sign of people waiting - waiting will soon arrive.

Sure enough, when I turned to the entrance that was near the bartender area, Astrid arrived - arriving straight in and heading to the cashier to take the presence as well. He never came early, because he had to take care of his favorite cat first.

My anxiety was gone, my stomach was no longer feeling slushy, but my heart was still pounding as I watched Astrid who had just kept her little bag in the room. After the division Astrid's jobdesc walked towards the cashier. I'm also still in the checker area preparing for shift two. The checeker area is directly connected to the cashier area, only blocked by walls that have windows without cover, which is usually used by the cashier when giving notes.

At the checker table right near the window connecting to the cashier I had prepared several dishes containing vegetables and fried eggplant flour. Who should have just put rice, sambal and side dishes, suddenly the eggplant is gone. I smiled, I knew it was Astrid who used to eat eggplant that was arranged in the dish.

"His eggplant habit in eating.." I smiled and turned to Astrid, who was in the cashier area. And he held his smile to pura - pura did not know what - what.

"What's Gio..?" astrid asked as I looked at her.

"You ate a eggplant?" askaku.

"Haha.. Your eggplant is delicious." Astrid's reply was loud enough to make the other children immediately turn to Astrid.

"What's Gio's eggplant?" ask Matin from a distance.

"Waaaaaaaaa.." The other children immediately responded in unison.

"Haha.. Yes, Gio's eggplant is delicious." Astrid replied innocently, making the other children quite rowdy.

"Gio eggplant how to mbak, durable?" tanya Mas Matin who was walking closer to the cashier area.

"If taken by the road - the road never hurts, even though it often rains - rain. All day, no sleep. It's durable.." Astrid added.

Hearing Astrid's explanation, Mas Matin just smiled. I just smile, listen to their conversations.

"Yesterday's eggplant Rahmad was also delicious." Astrid said,

Jeez is still in the eggplant. Yes Astrid discussed eggplant in the meal, while the other children spoke in the paste into the other eggplant.

My time at work is up now, I want to rest after the presence. I laid back in my room after changing clothes. Not even taking a shower, I think he will take a shower if he has lost his sweat. While playing the phone, while listening to the voices of employees who were joking, even the voice of Astrid was heard clearly.

"Dear blonde blonde blonde.."

Astrid's loud voice mimicked the song being played on Omes' small active speaker.

"The lyrics aren't that mbak hehe.."

Nita's voice was heard, he protested that the lyrics sung by Astrid were wrong.

The sound I heard was getting faint, my eyelids were getting heavy. I started to get sleepy, and went to sleep.

I opened my eyes when the door opened, it turned out that Astrid was taking off her shoes, she was sitting at the door.

"Let's pray." Astrid said as she turned to me.

Astrid went first, I got up immediately and followed her to pray together.

I waited for him to finish work. Even while waiting for sleep. Sleep is the way I forget about time without you. For being with you is not my way of forgetting time, but passing time.
