The Angel of Time

The Angel of Time
chapter 36

That night always bothered my mind, I always remembered the moment his face was right in front of me. There was curiosity as he tried to land his lips on mine. Ah drat... He made me remember that.

Tonight the outler came back quite crowded, I took some iced tea for me to drink, I tried to keep moving fast and had to stay focused, so easily dehydrated because of the menu arrangement there is one scope with the kitchen. I placed the iced tea near the connecting door to the cashier, so as not to disturb me when I had to move freely.

I was dehydrated again, I immediately picked up the iced tea I had prepared at the table, at the front door. When I tried to take it, my God was no longer there. I was thinking who drank this, I glanced to the right, I thought no one would drink this. I glanced to the left, there was Astrid at the cashier.

I took another iced tea, I drank a little and I put it back in the place, I forwarded some notes that I had to finish before there was a complaint because the order was too long.

Let me take a peek when Astrid was about to walk from the cashier past the iced tea I put earlier, I waited from behind the door where she was going, but did not appear immediately either. There was a pause as he walked from the cashier's room to the bartender to help deliver a drink.

I tried to check my glass from behind the door, already half, hmm it turns out he drank it. Soon he returned with an empty tray and placed it on the bartender's desk. Astrid returned to the cashier again to serve the consumers who were already waiting for the message. I picked up the glass and drank a little.

If I did this what he would be angry at, I thought how if I were to revile him a little, I refilled my glass with iced tea to the brim. I walk into the kitchen, my eyes look at the salt and the micin, so I take two spoons of salt and I stir into the iced tea until it dissolves. I put the glass back where I put it.

I resumed my work, observing Astrid still serving consumers. My eyes tried to follow where Astrid was going, she gave a note to me, and passed away going towards the bartender to give a note as well. He didn't drink it, he just passed my iced tea. He went out, probably to take some of the dishes and glasses that had been used up. After a long time he returned to bring dirty glasses that had been collected in tapperware.

Just waiting for the side dish to ripen, my eyes followed Astrid's direction and it was true that she drank my iced tea which I had mixed with salt.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.. " Astrid shouted as she started drinking the iced tea, I held back a laugh as I found out she was trapped with my trap.

"Who put salt here?" astrid asked with a look towards me,

I finally let go of the laughter that I could not stand. Even though I saw Astrid's expression just frown at me, and leave just like that. It seems like he's angry, my God, is he really angry? He sat in the cashier's room and kept quiet. I called him several times, he did not respond to me at all. I went straight to him, to calm his anger.

"Astrid are you angry? Haha.." I stood beside him, I,

"Report'.."

"Report'.."

"That's angry.. You can't drink much ice. That's why I work together. Let's not drink much ice."

"Hm"

"Haha.." I left the area.

He's not really\-angry, I know he's just kidding. He's an adult too. How could he be easily angry just because of something like that.

As usual, every shift was over I didn't let him go straight home. There's always something I want to tell you, whatever I'm talking about. Talking to her made my brain feel fresher, this was the first time I was this close to a girl in college, especially she spoke Indonesian every day. It made me get used to the language, because he didn't really understand Java.

There are about three plastic chairs in the cash register. I took two for me to sit with him. At half-time, I was still talking to him. I stared intently into the kitchen. Something is not right as I thought. I kept watching even from inside the cashier room. I was surprised there was such a white shadow that I thought it was a cat. My eyes continued to stare sharply but there was no answer to my curiosity.

"What's wrong?" Astrid asked in surprise.

I just opened my eyes to answer his question.

"Let's get out." I said.

I pulled his hand out of the room. I got into the mess to pick up the jacket, Astrid suddenly ran in following me in a hurry.

"What's wrong?" I asked while wearing my jacket.

Astrid just kept quiet and looked at me who was approaching her.

"Ada?" my many.

He just nodded and smiled. My hand he held, maybe he was afraid.

"Where?" ask me while walking towards the door.

I opened the exit and clingak-clinguk observed outside.

"So right I opened the door he was there, sitting on a shoe rack. She smiled at me, her hair was short" Astrid said.

"It's okay.. Let's move on." I said.
