Not Runaway
CHAPTER 9

Arriving at their car park. Vely yelled.

"Om Richie." Vely hugged Richie's legs as if they hadn't seen each other for a long time.

"Vely, I'm so kangen." Richie's holding Vely.

"Hai Rin, Mr. Aiden. How can you be together?" Richie was a little surprised by the accidental encounter.

"Ooo.. Vely and his son Aiden are in school. It just so happens that today there is a singing race." Airin explained.

"Om, Vely champion 2. Got another trophy, great." said Vely excited.

Richie didn't hear much of Vely's rambling. He was digesting the word Airin earlier. Whats? Aiden's? Since when did Airin call him that?

"Om Richie when do you want to take Vely to PlayZone again?" connect Vely.

"Now I can." Richie replied as he poked Vely's nose.

"Horris...Brother Darren's coming with yuk." take Vely.

"Sister Darren can't today, Vely, there are more piano lessons. You also have to go back to the office. Next time yes. We're Airin first, Richie. Bye Vely." said Aiden.

"Bye Brother Darren." Vely and Darren waved each other's hands.

"Ok Aiden, see you tomorrow." Airin waved to Darren as well.

From inside his car, Aiden felt a little claustrophobic looking at the scene in front of him. The laughing Vely was carried by Richie. Airin laughed too.

'It's just the beginning. Just a few steps behind and I can still catch up.' Aiden's inner self.

The three of them arrived at PlayZone. Richie filled his card balance of 300 thousand for Vely to play. Airin and Richie follow Vely who is busy trying out some games entirely using the machine. Suddenly a boy playing scooter almost hits Airin if Richie doesn't pull Airin in his arms. Airin was silent for a while trying to digest what was happening. As for Richie, don't ask, his heart is irregular.

"Ciee.ciee.mama ma om Richie hugs." the crisp Vely's voice made them loose on each other.

Actually Richie, Airin, and Vina were quite familiar during High School, and since then Richie also liked Airin. He also felt Airin had the same feeling. But they never admitted to each other. Until finally when their last day at school, Richie expressed his feelings. Unfortunately, because Richie had to go to America, Airin could not accept Richie. Airin does not believe in long distance relationships. The environment affects everything, according to Airin. Three years later, when Richie returned to Indonesia and met Airin, Airin was married. Richie accepted everything sincerely. Then he continued his S2 college back to America. How shocked Richie was when he heard from Vina that Airin's husband died in a car accident two years later.

And Richie seemed to find his reason for returning to Indonesia.

What the three of them did not know was the pair of eyes that saw a scene that he thought was very unpleasant.

"Richie, mama's already allowed you to open RAF with Airin. Yeah enough to get there. Don't creep anywhere. Kan ga yang mama again way ma mama friends, keep squirming you carry that child. Ampe confused mama answered their question." mama Desy Andirawan's tone rose.

"Mama knows Richie is close to Airin and Vely. We just play there. Don't think about people's talk. Mama said it was my mother's granddaughter. Beret."

"Have a grandson.you have not married yet."

"So mama's blessing?"

"Restuin what? same Airin?" mama Desy asked back.

"Well, Ma." Richie said.

"Yes, it's not. Not mama ga pricein Airin ya Richie. As both women, mama Kasian and amazed by Airin. He's great, strong. Just help me understand my mom. There are many things you can be a wife. Why Airin?" mama Desy's voice softened a little.

"Mama can't understand Richie. Come on ma, we'll talk about this later. Richie's going to go to the room first." Richie kisses mama Desy's cheeks at a glance.

Richie was pensive in his room. He is well aware he has fallen in love with Airin, much deeper than his old school days. It's just that he doesn't know how to start. Love is a simple thing. But it's the uniting of those two loves that makes it complicated. Richie knew Airin was keeping his distance. Either because of her widowed status, or fear for Richie's extended family.

'Ah, if only I were a widower, surely mama Seneng really have a daughter-in-law kayak Airin.' Inner Richie hope.
