CHAPTER 47

“Price irin..Wake up donk. “ a man in white clothes and pants calls Airin while stroking his cheek. Airin who felt amused, woke up with a small laugh. But Airin was confused, after opening his eyes many times then he realized that he was asleep on the white sand on the beach. He saw the person who woke him up.

“Nathan. You're here? Been long? Why did you wake me up? I'm still sleepy darling.” Airin intended to go back to sleep, but he heard the sound of a baby not far from there. He looked for the source of the sound and saw a baby basket under the palm tree not far away.

“Don't sleep again babe, you didn't hear our son's cry?” Nathan helps Airin to sit down. Airin smiled as if she missed the man in front of her. But not long after that she cried.

“Sorry Dear. I betrayed you, I've divided my heart for another man.”  Nathan hugged her.

“You did share your heart, but you never betrayed me, dear. I respect everything you've done now. You deserve to be happy, and so does our child. Never feel guilty for it. Remember that I will also be happy if you and Vely are happy.” Nathan kissed Airin's crying forehead. Her guilt had gradually begun to melt away after hearing what Nathan had said to her.

“It's been yes Darling, now you're awake. Our son is crying waiting for you. Remember to always be happy.” Nathan took off his embrace. Walk towards the beach. Airin wanted to call out to him so that Nathan wouldn't drown in the waves. But his voice did not come out. He could only be silent as he looked at Nathan who was starting to disappear.

“Ai..Airin.” Aiden was confused to see Airin suddenly open his eyes. Airin let out her tears. His breathing is irregular. Aiden called a doctor to check on his wife.

“You why Ai?” Aiden held back his tears. He feared that Airin's condition would worsen. The doctor said that there were no serious injuries to Airin's head. But it's been two days that Airin hasn't woken up since he hurt his head. Darren and Vely had arrived this afternoon after getting the doctor's permission to try to resuscitate Airin. Vely cried no more after he saw his mother lying with a bandage on her head. It took a long time to convince Vely to come home. Finally he collapsed with Richie, Vely always obeyed him. Richie also spent a lot of time in the hospital just to check the condition of Airin.

"It looks like Airin's mother is conscious, sir. Try slowly invited to light communication first." Doctors and nurses are out, giving privacy to them.

"Da..Does anything hurt?" Aiden asked as he clasped Airin's hand. Airin looked at him while shaking his head.

"You.can talk? You remember me?" Aiden was afraid Airin could not speak, or amnesia, or shock, or... Bad thoughts haunt him.

"You think I've forgotten the memory of a Korean drama?" said slowly. Aiden laughed happily at that. He hugged Airin hard.

"Aeuw..Ai, sick. Don't be. How many days did I fall asleep Ai? I miss Ai's kids" he said again. Aiden let go of his embrace.

"Both days. Just kids? You don't miss me?" Aiden looked at him seriously, as if he was really jealous.

"That's not what you need to ask. How can I not miss you even when I sleep I can still remember your face?" Airin stroked Aiden's face which looked even more tyrannical and tired. Aiden really misses Airin. Many times he thanked God for seeing his wife smile again. Airin was so, somehow his feelings feel more free to say miss.

Two days later, Airin was allowed to go home with a doctor's permission. He was bored and insisted he was healthy. But of course Aiden forbade him to work first. He should rest two weeks at home. Richie allowed it.

"Ai, how's Evelyn?" airin asked questions from the time he was in the hospital. But Aiden doesn't like to talk about it there. He wants to wait for Airin to be healthy and has returned home.

"He's detained. There was Mr. Sihombing who was a witness, the evidence is clear. I can't just take it off after making you..." Aiden also felt guilty, for protecting Airin to sacrifice.

"Ai, I haven't apologized to you. If you hadn't protected me, you wouldn't have been hurt. Do you know what? I'm so scared to see the blood flowing from your head. I couldn't breathe." Aiden was horrified to remember the incident.

"And you think I can breathe if that happens to you? I'm sure you're stronger to take care of me, so I'm just asleep." Airin smiled.

"Ai, can I just rest at the top? We take the kids for a week vacation there. We're asking permission from school for a week. Your job.." Airin's words were cut off by Aiden.

"There's papa. I'll ask Papa to take my place for a week." Aiden smile. It is time to make his wife and children happy.

The weather is very cold in the morning. Aiden deliberately rented a villa with complete facilities. Their plan would only be to spend more time in the villa so that Airin could still rest. Airin breathed fresh air from the 2nd floor balcony in her room, she turned her head towards her husband who was still asleep. Children's voices have not been heard in the next room either. Airin looked at the blue sky which still leaves a little orange color as a sign that the sun has long awakened from his sleep. He thanked God for all the gifts he received to this day.

'Lord, let me speak with Nathan, my husband whom You have chosen to accompany You there. Hi Nathan, have you seen him? I'm happy here. Thank you for our Lord and you have sent my best husband, sending Darren to accompany Vely, our son. Dear Nathan, you calm down there. Remember your promise to be happy if I'm happy...' Airin was surprised by the hand that was holding her from behind.

"Beautiful to the sky, Ai." Aiden kissed Airin's cheek, still hugging her.

"Yes Ai, it's beautiful" she said.  'Bye Nathan.' Airin smiled.

"I love you, Ai" said Aiden.

"I love you too." A sentence we must respond to if we feel it too.

Airin turned to look at her husband, peeping her lips. One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Okay, Aiden knows what that means.  He took his wife to bed. The activity they missed these two weeks. A way to state that Airin belongs only to him, now and for all time.

'Aidan, you're mine. I will never again doubt you, and please allow me to remain more than or equal to your five seconds forever.'
