CHAPTER 23
A week has passed since Airin went to the beach with Aiden. Vely was on a weekend to Bandung with mama Rianti. It was Teddy who came to pick me up by car. They'll be home tomorrow. Aiden's coming to get Airin. They are going to XP Mall, Airin wants to find a mystery novel and some reading books for Vely.
"Aiden, Darren likes gini's superhero book?" Airin shows a book called Spiderman to Aiden.
"I think less Ai, he prefers stories about animals. We bought an encyclopedia." Airin nodded. He's still trying to get close to Darren. Likewise with Aiden, he often gives toys and sweet foods to Vely.
Aiden took Airin's hand. They are like two teenagers dating. The appearance of Aiden who was usually in a suit, today looked casual. The white t-shirt with the tick was combined with black jeans. Airin also plucked her hair up. Wearing a white t-shirt that almost matches the Aiden shirt plus black ripped jeans.
When they finished shopping, they played billiar. It turns out that their hobbies as teenagers were the same. Airin wants to enjoy her time with Aiden. Fill it with good memories. He was afraid that what he would talk about with Aiden would end all that they would start.
The time has also shown at 5 pm. They agreed to go back to Airin's house. Airin wanted to talk to each other without much interference. Aiden was actually very curious about what Airin wanted to say. He was afraid that Airin could not express love for him.
"Drink Ai, I'm sorry there's no coffee." Airin brought a cup of warm sweet tea to Aiden who was sitting on Airin's living room sofa.
"I promise to stay away from coffee, rather than shunned you Ai hahaha..." Aiden and Airin laughed.
"So..." Aiden can't wait for Airin's story.
"Aiden, I love you. But before we get more serious. I want you to know that I'm not a perfect woman. My uterus was lifted when I gave birth to Vely. There was a benign tumor attached to my uterus at the time. The doctor suggested lifting it. You know what that means." Airin looked at Aiden, trying to guess if Aiden understood.
"I mean you..." Aiden could not bear to continue his sentence.
"Yes Ai, I won't be able to get pregnant again, give you a child, a sister to Darren and Vely." Airin continued his explanation. Aiden. Absolutely surprised. He once imagined Darren and Vely both taking care of their little sister in the future. Whatever the sex of their child, because they already have a pair of boys and girls.
Tears were dripping, he knew this was going to happen. But he was prepared for the worst risk. It's better now than her feelings are getting deeper into Aiden.
"This is what you're afraid of Ai? You told me to wait a week for this? Suppose last week you said this immediately, we will both be free from the fear we feel in this one week. You know what I'm afraid of?" aiden asked as he held onto Airin's cheek that was soaked by her tears. Airin.
"You just like me, you can't love me. That's all I'm afraid of." explained Aiden.
"But I haven't said I love you Aiden." Airin says.
"I've felt it Airin. These tears are proof. You will not cry for something worthless. Am I right?" Aiden kissed Tearin's eyes, wiped away her tears. Airin was still silent, not daring to say so.
"Other than I need. A Airin, the perfect woman in my eyes. And Vely, the cute little girl who can make Darren laugh. Do you think I would act stupid to throw all that away? No Ai, I don't need anything else. I promise to make you and Vely happy. The four of us will be a happy family." Aiden's promise convinced Airin to nod.
"I believe. I believe you're the answer to Aiden's prayers. I...love you." said Airin sure.
"And you know I love you 100 times as much as Airin." Aiden kissed Airin's forehead. Kissing the lips that paled earlier. A long-standing deep kiss was not felt by Aiden and Airin. Airin was pushed to lie on the sofa. They seemed to have no intention of releasing the slow but wild kiss. Aiden felt something hard behind his jeans. '**!!' Aiden swore in his heart. He felt he had to take off the kiss now. Aiden returned to his seat after helping Airin get up from his current position.
"I want to take you to meet my parents Ai. I want to marry you soon." said Aiden seriously.
"Are you serious? Isn't this too fast?" Airin was surprised to hear that.
"It never hurts to move fast if we're sure. I'll introduce you as my future wife. They're good parents. I'm sure mom won't question your status. And papa.will not dare to argue mama hahahaha.." Airin is happy, one step away from starting a new life with Vely, Aiden, and Darren.
