Cockroaches are afraid of geckos

"Four cockroaches who had been captured by Dodit were brought forcibly to Ardian's room. At first they refused and only asked one of their friends to represent. However, Dodit threatened that their salaries would be cut if they did not climb into the GM room now.

"I think you've been working here long enough, Reno. Why do you dare to look for trouble with a boss like this." Dodit continued walking followed by the four cockroaches behind him. The man called Reno was just scratching his head in confusion.

"A. I've never been in trouble, Mr. Dodit. Until now, I don't know what my fault was that I was asked to go to Mr. Ardian's room."

Dodit grunting. "The thing was in the elevator this afternoon. You're in an elevator, right, with his wife Mr Ardian?"

"Eh," Reno's face paled instantly. "D. my guess didn't miss," looked at the other three friends. "J.. so the veiled woman was b.. really his wife Mr Ardian?" Reno asked timidly to Dodit.

"Hmmm.." Dodit glanced at the four men who all looked tense. "You just need to explain to Mr. Ardian what happened. His wife refused to explain anything. He just said everything was fine. But, Mr. Ardian did not believe it just because he saw his wife's face pale when he came out of the elevator."

"K. We were just kidding, sir." The thin man who is the perpetrator is actually getting tense hearing Dodit's words.

"You said weird, Ceking. Me and Gani just stay behind you. You also talked, Badri." Reno pushed softly onto the shoulder of the well-built man she called Badri.

"I'm not saying weird but. Tuh the Ceking who said no slurred is not clear."

"Shut up...!" Dodit stopped his steps as he glared towards the cockroaches behind him. "You were asked to explain everything in front of Mr. Ardian. Who needs an explanation Mr. Ardian, not me." Dodit breathed out violently. His head needs to be cooled because the temperature of his head rises because of hearing the unfair debate of the cockroaches trailing behind him. Dodit resumed his steps.

Dodit knocked on Ardian's door. "The four of you come in! Mr. Ardian is waiting inside. Don't make trouble again if you don't want to deal with the people on this floor." Dodit comes in first.

"This is the guy, Ar. I've caught the cockroach for you. I want to go on an adventure first. The head needs cooling."

"Shut up here, Dit. I need you to interrogate them."

"I'm tired, Ar. These cockroaches were noisy from earlier. You turn into a gecko let them be afraid. Just eat them so they don't act anymore."

Ardian glared at Dodit. Dodit just smiled wryly in response.

"I won't fire you if you're telling me the truth right now. You guys had an elevator this afternoon, right, with my wife?"

Reno nodded timidly. "I. yes, sir."

"Did anyone offend my wife?" Ardian stared intently at his four employees who were just looking down.

Reno looked towards Ceking. "D. He's the culprit, sir. He's the one who says disrespectfully to your wife."

"Mmm... That's it..? Did anyone make physical contact?"

"Mm." everybody looks at each other.

"My answer is, did anyone make physical contact?!" The tone of Ardian's voice rose by an octave. "I asked because my wife had a trauma in the past. When I hugged her earlier, I could feel her tension."

"M. sorry, sir. T. but I just touched his shoulder."

Ardian breathed a rough breath. His wife is very tense. His hands even let out cold sweat. Ardian is well memorized by the tension of his wife who like that must be triggered because there are people who touch it without permission.

"You can come out. Thank you for being honest. Dit, take them out now."

"Yes, Ar..."

After the four employees left, Dodit approached Ardian who was kneading his temple. "What's up, Ar?"

"There's nothing, Dit. Let's go home now."

"And I went with you this morning, Dit. That's why I didn't let you come home from earlier."

"Gosh, I forgot. I want to pray Ashar first, Ar. When I get home, I go to bed again."

"A. I also want to pray first."

Dodit...

I left Ardian's room because I saw a change in his attitude. I thought he was going to teach Reno a lesson earlier. Tired of telling Rano vs. that Ardian is like a Gecko and Rano cs is like a cockroach. Cockroaches do not mess with geckos because geckos eat cockroaches. But. ah, I don't understand him either. I defended looking for Reno cs to their respective rooms, because they were in different divisions.

There seems to be a past that makes Ardian immediately shocked when someone claimed to have made physical contact. Has Bu Ayra ever been abused so she has a trauma like Ardian said earlier. But. ah, I thought about what the hell. Let that be their business. I can't go too far. I better pray first. Why dizziness mengurusin household people, know yourself has not been practiced.

Pov Ardian...

I locked the door to my room after Dodit came out. Somehow those bad memories of the past popped into my head after someone claimed to have had physical contact with my wife. I remember Chay. It was fortunate that I could still control myself and not go berserk on those four employees. I think getting them out is the right choice.

I threw my body on the couch. I ruffled my hair like a frustrated man. I was drowning in my guilt. Chays... Chay.O Allah, this is all because of me. This guilt will haunt me for life.

I rise to take the water. Hopefully this feeling can be calmer after remembering Him. While passing through the large glass in front of the bathroom, I stopped. I blinked at the reflection of my face. There were tears in his eyes. Heh, I smiled bitterly. I was crying because of the stupidity I had done in the past. The stupidity I did with my own hands. Really too...

I was disgusted to see my own shadow. Sins for sins that I have committed sprung up one by one. O Allah. I rubbed my face violently. How many women have I destroyed.

I left the front of the mirror. The more I saw the reflection of my face, the more disgusted I was with myself.

Pov Author...

"She's been a long time, Ar? Wirid how many rounds to the point that I waited more than half an hour. The door was locked again. Want to pray, why try to use to lock the door all."

"Most of your protests, we go home yuk."

"I'd like to stop by the warteg first, Ar. I'm so hungry."

Ardian. "How many times do you eat in a day?"

"Depending on that if there's any extra work like that, I'll get hungry fast. The work of taking care of wild cockroaches like that was draining energy and mind. My blood sugar dropped immediately because of most of the emotions. You don't know how hard it was for me to drag those cockroaches into the gecko cages."

Ardian. "What's faster to be that gecko is you, Dit. I never got angry with them. Instead, they immediately bend their knees when you speak. Your eyes are dilated a little so big eyes like geckos."

Dodit just snorted and opened the car door. The car went through the crowd of the highway.

"I want to stop by the meatball stall first, Ar. Wanna come with me?"

Ardian looked at Dodit for a moment. His mind had yet to recover from recalling his bad memories. "Mm.. What did you say?"

Dodit took a deep breath. "I want to stop by the meatball stall in front. Honorable Mr Ardian wants to come or stay in the car?"

"Mm. I'll just come along. I'm trying to take my mind off of this."

"Ngapain thinks of cockroaches, Ar? Life should be taken casually so as not to be burdensome."

Ardian just smiled wryly in response. His heart could not be compromised. Not because of the employee's problem. But it's about the past that will be a regret for the rest of his life.
