The Jewel in My Heart

The Jewel in My Heart
Chapter 4

Somehow her way but today Anna was determined to force the man to eat. If necessary he will use a large straw to put the diluted porridge into his stomach. If Anna doesn't do it, it could be that the man will starve to death. The dead body of a stranger in her house was the worst thing that flashed through Anna's mind at this moment. Just imagining it alone has made her perur nauseous.

The man looked pale when Anna placed the bowl of porridge on the plastic chair next to the bed. "You have to eat" said Anna, raising her pillow. He exerted all his strength to pull the man to lean on the pillow.

The man opened his eyes slightly before being closed again, but his mouth opened slightly when a spoonful of porridge stuck to his lips.

Anna poured the porridge on the spoon slowly into the man's mouth. Anna's sigh of relief was so clearly heard after the second mouthful. Anna was so grateful that the man could swallow the porridge that he did not have to use any other difficult means.

The man's forehead wrinkled every time he swallowed the porridge, like he was trying hard to do it. Anna looked at him with a worried look. The man must have felt great pain and put all his remaining composure into restraining him. Not once did Anna hear the man complaining or groaning. Anna regrets that she should have taken the man to the hospital to get better and more professional treatment. Not as of now.

Once in a while Anna poured white water into the man's mouth, so that it was as pure as the porridge in the bowl ran out. With teary eyes Anna wiped the man's mouth before returning him to a lying position.

The part that Anna dislikes the most is when she has to wipe the man's body and change his bandage. Anna grimaced whenever she saw her many wounds on the man's body. Like her, she lived a hard life.

Anna tidied up the bowl and glass while occasionally staring at the man lying before her. That guy's not ugly. In view of her many fine wrinkles on the forehead, Anna guessed maybe she was a man who thought too much.

But there's one thing that's a lot of confusion about Anna. If the man was the kind of person who lived on the streets why were his hands not rough? it was as if it had never worked hard.

Quickly Anna left the room before her mind wandered. Where that man came from is none of his business! the most important thing was that the man quickly recovered so that he could immediately leave his house.

Today Anna has a private tutoring schedule so she has to leave before it's too late. "Let's go baby, help mama clean up your toys" Anna said as she put one by one Nina's toys into a large box.

Nina immediately followed what her mother did, the toddler put a small strawberry doll into her toy box while laughing happily. "Well.dah!" nina exclaimed as she waved her hand at the small strawberry that was now inside the big box.

"Thank you, I helped my mom with the toys" Anna said, crouching in front of Nina "Yes" answered Nina and hugged Anna.

Anna immediately led Nina to change clothes, not until ten minutes the toddler was ready to leave. Then Anna places Nina in a small chair before returning to the foreign man lying in her room.

"I have to go, my door is key and this is the spare key" Anna said, putting the key in the man's grasp "I don't know if you can use it but I'm worried about leaving you alone in a locked house."

The man moved his head slightly, and it was enough for Anna to know that the man heard her.

Anna sighed softly before exiting her compartment while guiding Nina next to her. He still did not understand why he was doing this, obviously the man was not an ordinary person. Anna's instinct is that soon her self will be in trouble.
