They climbed a large staircase covered in cream-colored carpens.
Anna looked back for a moment and saw two women in uniform and three Arthur guards accompanying them.
In her heart Anna prayed that she would not need to be followed like Arthur.
"This is your room..."
"I slept with Nina," Anna cut off quickly, worried that Nina would be placed in a separate room.
Anna did not notice the surprised facial expressions of the people who followed them
"I know," Arthur muttered as he stepped in and lowered Nina on the big canopy bed.
Nina gave a small laugh as Arthur pinched her soft nose.
"Whatever you need is already available here, I'll send someone to serve you."
"It's okay, I can do it myself" replied Anna. In her heart of discomfort arises, Anna does not like if there are people who roam around her, after all she has been used to taking care of everything herself.
"Here, you need her." Arthur's voice sounded pushy, he was not used to being rebutted.
"I must leave now, stay in this room until the one who will serve you comes."
Anna's forehead is frowned upon hearing Arthur's orders, for him now Arthur does not look like the man he was yesterday at his help.
Maybe Arthur wasn't as friendly as he had imagined...
"Alright," Anna replied and sat down with Nina.
Arthur and the men disappeared behind the door and Anna sighed.
What the hell is he doing here?
This room is too big, much bigger than his compartment.
In addition to the canopied bed, there was also a set of round tables with four wooden chairs on the right, not far from the door there was a set of sofas with a rectangular table in the middle, his, not to mention he had a soft chair on the side of a large window.
The room still looks very lively even though in added large cabinets, dressers, nightstands, and mirrors stand taller than themselves.
Anna would bet that the bathroom must be super luxurious.
Too bad if this room no one occupies, Arthur should rent it.
"Lady.buna!" nina's exclaiming voice happily lured Anna to approach her daughter who was standing in front of the window.
"You're right baby, there are so many flowers visible from here" Anna said with a smile.
Hand rubbing the wood in the window, Anna is eager to open her window but worried Nina will jump.
Anna surrounds the room and continues to admire its interior while Nina is busy touching all her furniture.
Nina was as happy as she could run around inside this room, the toddler was laughing cheerfully.
"I'm sorry Mama, baby" Anna muttered softly "Mama can't give you a house like this."
Anna felt sad to see Nina, the child should be able to get a more decent life than Anna could give all along.
Nina points at the television and starts sulking for Anna to turn her on. "Maa. tatun" Nina said repeatedly.
With her remote on the shelf, Anna turns on the television, Nina immediately climbs onto the sofa that was placed across the television while Anna changes her channel to look for children's shows.
"Hi," said the black-haired woman, her green eyes gleaming with pleasure "May I come in?"
"Yes.." replied Anna "Is there anything I can help you with?"
The woman laughed recklessly as she followed Anna.
"I'm Laura, I came here to help you, on the orders of His Majesty Arthur."
Holy hooch! Anna almost glared in surprise, but Arthur actually did.
Anna looked at Laura confusedly, what should she do? what exactly is Laura going to do?
"Anna," said Anna as she reached out her hand "You can also speak in my language?"
"My mother was a servant of the late Queen, so she spoke Indonesian" Laura replied.
"Is the late Queen Indonesian?" ask Anna carefully.
Laura nodded her "His Majesty Arthur feels from Solo, and chose to spend her life there. His Majesty Arthur lived in Solo until the age of eight, then was picked up here by the late King Edward to be educated as crown prince."
"The Queen's not coming?" anna frowned in surprise, she sat on one of the couches and chose to listen to Laura's story instead of watching cartoons with Nina.
Laura nodded sadly "No."
"Why?"
"His Majesty Arthur didn't tell him?" Laura asked back.
Anna shakes "No. What was the matter when it happened?"
Laura shrugged "I don't know much, but the late Queen doesn't want to go back to Freyster..."
Arthur must be lonely, thought Anna imagining a little boy who had to go to a place far from his mother.
"Are they divorced?" mumbling Anna.
"Absolutely not, even according to my mother, the late King Edward loved the late Queen very much. He had not been seen with another woman since he was with the late Queen, even when the late Queen decided to return to Solo."
"Then why don't they live together?"
"At that time there were many obstacles, I don't know.." Laura's voice floated "Should Your Majesty Arthur know more than I do."
"So the late Queen stayed in Solo until the end of her life?"
Laura nodded "Together with my mother, King Edward often visited the late Queen secretly, so thoroughly that he abdicated in place of His Majesty Arthur. Then King Edward decided to stay in Solo to accompany the late Queen until her death."
Anna shook her head "It's complicated, too, when did King Edward die?"
"About five years ago," said Laura sadly "It seems that the late King Edward could not bear the grief of the late Queen, he did not cry, did not laugh, did not speak to anyone. Finally the late King Edward breathed his last one week after the late Queen in the tomb right."
"There must be a more plausible explanation for why two people who love each other can live apart" Anna muttered with a concerned face.
"Maybe His Majesty Arthur will explain it if you ask, Miss Anna."
"Don't call me that, I'm not used to it. I'd rather you just call me Anna."
Laura was surprised "It's rude, I can get a reprimand if I do it!"
