"Hi, you miss me?"
Nina laughs happily when Arthur lifts her into the air many times, the toddler refuses to get off Arthur's sling and asks Arthur to do it again.
Anna takes Nina from Arthur's sling. "Mom should talk to Arthur, baby."
Nina had just finished her lunch so she definitely hoped to play.
Nina's upset face looks funny. "Vagiii..."
"Later on..." Anna tried to persuade Nina.
Arthur took out a stuffed rabbit from his paper bag.
"Look who's coming" Arthur said, pointing at the doll right in front of Nina's nose.
"Repet!" Nina grabbed the rabbit doll and immediately hugged her. During this week he was often fussy asking his stuffed rabbits that were not carried away when they rushed to go to Freyster. As soon as she gets her doll, Nina immediately shows her proudly to Laura.
"Wait a minute" said Arthur and walked quickly out of Anna's room, a moment later he was back again with a pink tricycle.
"It's for you too."
Anna was stunned to see Nina who seemed enthusiastic trying her new bike while holding Pipi.
Laura smiles and tells Arthur that she will take Nina and Pipi for a short bike ride in the park. Arthur nodded, telling them to stay within sight of his personal bodyguard.
Anna's annoyance that peaked immediately dropped dramatically when she saw Nina who waved her hand while smiling broadly at Arthur.
"You bought it for Nina?"
Arthur scratched his head. "I don't know what a little boy likes, but I always see him hugging a stuffed rabbit. I think we made a big mistake when he died, so in London I was looking for a replacement doll. Well.. It's not the same as Nina's left behind, but I hope she likes her."
"And that bike too?"
"I saw her at the doll shop, and I decided to buy her. Because the Royal Palace's garden is so vast, I think Nina would love to be able to circle it by bicycle."
Arthur was silent for a moment, his forehead wrinkled as if he were thinking.
Anna's expression was illegible. "Thank you."
"I also have something for you." with a secretive smile Arthur pulled out a flat black box from the same paper bag where he kept the doll for Nina.
"For me?" anna asked in disbelief as she took the box out of Arthur's hand.
Anna's heart pounded a little, she rarely got a gift. Even after her parents died, she never again got her.
But is it worth Anna to receive a gift from a man she just met?
Anna bites her lips and thinks hard, would Arthur look at her as a sloppy woman if she received the gift? but Anna was eager to see the contents of the box.
What if the contents of the box were a ticket back to Jakarta? Anna hopes to return to Jakarta soon.
"Sorry, I didn't get to wrap it up."
Anna opened the box and her eyes widened, she looked at Arthur in bewilderment, on her face clearly implied disappointment.
"Oh..."
"What's wrong? you don't like it?" arthur asked after seeing Anna's disappointed face.
"No, not that." replied Anna quickly "I think this.." Anna's sentence stopped, she realized instantly.
Arthur and Stamp's problems aren't problems that can be solved in a matter of days.
Anna pushes the box back to Arthur. "I can't accept it. It's too...too expensive!"
Arthur pushes the box back to Anna. "Good Anna! you saved my life, why can't I give you this?"
Anna's views alternate between Arthur and the contents of the box. Anna swore in her heart that it was the nicest necklace she had ever seen.
His white chain made of gold blends with a blue stone-eyed pendant with small gems scattered around him.
Should he accept her?
