The Part 28

I smiled again, looking at the sky that was only decorated with white clouds. Traces of the plane that Gavin was on were not visible. I finally decided to go home. While walking out of the airport, I booked an online taxi for transportation back home, and stopped for a while when I got to the parking lot.

“Kak Gavin.” I was kissing slowly. The little smile on my lips was painted when I remembered my first encounter with Gavin's brother here. I twisted all the memories here, starting from Gavin's defense when I was scolded by the security guard, then he calmed me down while questioning, and finally delivered home.

My attention was distracted when the phone in my grasp shook. On the phone it turns out there is a notification if the taxi I ordered has arrived. I hurried out of the airport, and when I saw a middle-aged man leaning on a taxi parked next to him playing with his cell phone. I quickly approached her to make sure she was the taxi booked.

“Sorry, Sir. Mr taxi driver I ordered via online is not it?” many ensure.

“With Mbak Airyn?” tanyanya looked at me seriously.

“Iya,” sahutku brief.

“Oh yes right. The person is the same as the one in the photo,” he said looking at the phone screen. I smiled a little.

“Come on, in. I was the taxi driver who was booked,” he said let me in while opening the door.

“Em. Thank you Sir,” I said then entered the car. The taxi driver quickly closed the door and got into the car in the front seat. Not long after the car drove, walking the asphalt road to my house.

*****

Arriving home, I paid for the taxi and rushed down. Moments after disembarking, the car quickly drove out of the courtyard of the house.

Morning, has gone

The sun is no longer shining

I don't know when

I remember about you

I just kept quiet

Grasping

All yearning

Calling your name

Every night

Want you to come

And present in my dreams

Longs

I heard Alby's voice singing with a guitar inside. I who was about to open the door of the house stopped my steps. I hold the right hand that holds the doorknob to not open it first.

*And time ‘kan reply

My meeting and your

Till now

I'm still here

‘I just keep quiet

Grasping

All yearning

Calling your name

Every night

Want you to come

And present in my dreams

Miss*

I became dissolved in the song that brother Alby was singing. Not just enjoying, but enjoying. Until I realized the song had stopped.

I suddenly felt the door being pulled forward quickly, and saw Brother Alby standing with a less than pleasant look on me. I was surprised to see it, because my body became less balanced and my hand was still holding the doorknob, I was pulled along and fell to the floor over the body of Brother Alby.

“Douh,” lamented I felt pain because the head of the front was hit by a guitar belonging to brother Alby. I quickly got up and switched to sitting while holding the affected part of the head.

“Sister! What-what the hell is playing pull the door! Would drop? Pain know!” my nag.

“Sister also hurts. Your body is heavy. Feeling the hundred kilos of cement,” scoffed back when he switched to sitting on the floor while holding his aching head.

“Mean it, next time don't nosy.” I hit Alby with my little bag.

“Eh, uh, sick tofu. What the hell hit everything!” Brother Alby held my hand firmly.

“Biarina. Wrong yourself with others.

Let kapok!” I thrashed and beat up Alby's brother again.

“Enough. Thats enough. My brother was wrong. I'm sorry,” he said regretting.

“Bodo. This is not enough, I report to mother later,” threatened me.

“I said enough!” yells. Ably's brother gripped both of my arms. Our faces became very close, and exchanged glances with sharp highlights.

“Bi.” My and Alby's attention was distracted when I heard someone's voice behind me.

“Ruhan, Jhia.” Brother Alby was surprised when he saw Ruhan and Jhia standing with awkward gazes behind me. Quickly Alby let go of the grip of his hand, and stood up. I also quickly stood next to Brother Alby.

“I ... I saw everything,” Ruhan said carefully.

“Sorry. It's been bothering you guys,” he continued.

“No. Not harassing. You guys misunderstood me and Brother Alby almost at the same time.

“I, I will wait outside,” said Jhia then leave just like that. Before leaving, he looked at me with an uncomfortable look.

“Thanks. But, how do you know this is my home?” ask Alby.

“Easy only. I have a lot of informational detectives,” he said with a little joke.

“I won't be here long. I have to go to the hospital with Jhia now. I go first yes,” said Ruhan pamit.

“Oh yes, don't be fierce. But it was romantic too,” he said half a whisper while glancing at me, then smiled and switched away.

Brother Alby drove him to the front of Ruhan's motorbike while talking, while I stood at the door watching him in silence. Moments before leaving, Ruhan waved her right hand while smiling at me. I smiled, then nodded my head in understanding.

After Ruhan and Jhia left, Alby turned around. He passed me with a grim look, not the slightest smile. Alby's sister went into her room and closed the door rather loudly. I closed the door, then went to my room and laid myself on the bed.

“I'm tired,” muttered me while hugging a beloved doll.

“You know, I'm so tired. But, you're making me calm now,” said my little smile.

*****

I sat in a chair facing the study table while arranging the package books that had just been studied. I quickly got out of my seat, then turned to the bed to relax. This night was colder than the night before.

I leaned my head over the beloved doll while staring at the ceiling of the house. I turned the look of my pair of eyeballs to the window when I heard the noise of the plane at night. Visible from the window gap the plane lights twinkled along with the passage of the plane.

“Kak Gavin,” muttered slowly. I remember the farewell with Gavin's brother at the airport.

“Kak, have you arrived? Are you busy, until you don't call me?” I kept mumbling slowly.

“You worried me.” I smiled a little while hoping that Gavin's brother would contact me.

*****

I'm still waiting for news after a few days ago, Gavin's brother went to London. I feel less calm these days, my mind is often overshadowed by Gavin. After all, he was a good person who had meaning in my life.

Every now and then I check my cell phone email, trying to make sure there's news about Gavin. In fact, not a single email came in from Gavin's brother. I brushed aside the ugly shadows that flashed adding to the worry, replacing them with more positive thoughts.

“Maybe brother Gavin is busy,” muttered me while staring at the screen of the phone that is on. I, reading a book in the library, kept my phone in my pocket and turned my eyes to the book on the table.

*****

Days passed without any news from Gavin. I, who had completed the semester exam for the class, was finally now on the XII class. I am still living my days together with hope that is never fulfilled. I've been trying to send a few emails since a few days after Gavin's departure until the day after yesterday, but none of them have been answered.

“Did you forget me?” mummify slowly. I who was focusing on reading books in the library as usual became slowly lost focus when I remembered Gavin's brother. I closed the book I was reading while grunting softly.

“It's time to go home,” muttered after glancing at my watch that pointed at 14:30. I packed up my books, then quickly exited the library.

“Hai Ryn,” greeted Daffa and Sasa almost simultaneously when I saw me coming out of the library.

“Eh, hi.” I smiled looking at Sasa and Daffa. They also looked at me while smiling.

“You home?” ask Daffa.

“Silver questions. Is that what it's like to ask? It's time to go home, obviously, too. Do you think you want to stay here?” sasa serobot.

“I'll just ask, itung-itung niceties. I also know it's time to go home,” Daffa said in self-defense.

“Hey, already. Why start fighting? This is just a small thing, do not exaggerate,” as I.

“We go home,” take me and walk ahead of Sasa and Daffa.

“Ryn.” I heard someone's voice calling me slowly, like a whisper. I looked to my right and left, but there was no sign of anyone calling.

“Ryn.” I heard again the voice of someone calling out slowly like before. I stopped my steps and turned back to the right and left, but there was still no sign.

“Why Ryn?” ask Sasa astonished.

“Em, no. Nothing really,” I said.

“You're okay, right, Ryn?” ask Daffa.

“Iya. I'm doing fine. Maybe I'm getting tired,” I replied.

“You want to drive home?” tawar Sasa's.

“Eh, no. I mean, I'm just walking. My house is close,” reject me.

“Bener?” Sasa.

“Em.” I nodded steadily.

*****

“You sure you don't want us to take you home?” ask Daffa when he gets to the parking lot.

“No.” I'm shaking. “ I'll go home by myself.”

“But you're really okay right?” I smiled at Sasa's alarming question.

“I'm fine Sa.” I emphasized the last words.

“Hai Ryn,” greeting Ghany who suddenly appeared near me, surprised me, Sasa, and Daffa.

“Ghany,” gumamku.

“I searched for you since, but it turns out you are here,”.

“Why are you looking for me? What's up?” I'm confused, because Ghany doesn't usually look for me.

“I brought something for you. There is someone who wants to meet you,”.

“Someone? Who?” I was curious and still confused.

“This.” Ghany pointed his phone screen at me.

“Kak Gavin,” murmured slowly when he saw that Gavin was connected to a video call on Ghany's phone.

“Hai Ryn,” with a smile.
