The Part 22
Meet Kenzhi
Brother Alby pulled my wrist, gave a code to immediately re-assemble with another friend\-friend. While walking, I still swept my eyes looking for the\-looking figure of the man. Hopefully, I'll find him and be able to ask why he just left me without saying goodbye, or just say thank you.
“They've come,” Mirza said when she saw me and Alby walking up to them.
“Finally,” connect Rana then sigh in relief.
“You came too,” he continued.
“Where have you been Ryn? Not lost, right?” ask Cyra.
“I'm looking for fresh air. No really, sorry to make you guys wait.” I smiled a little at them.
“It's okay, no need to apologize. If you want to apologize, apologize to Alby. He was very worried about you earlier,” said Kenan. There was a wide smile on Kenan's lips that decorated his handsome face.
“Truely, even he looks very panicked when you are difficult in contact,” continued Rana.
“Alby has called you many times, probably around .... ten, up to ... twelve times. But you didn't answer him one. He also sent you a message, but it was not reciprocated either. Next time, please don't make him worry about you, pity Alby. If you don't want to talk, at least reply to the message. Or ... notify him first so as not to panic him.” Ruhan gave advice.
“Yes, it won't. Next time, I'll tell you about Alby.” I smiled thinly.
“I've paid for the food, let's go home, it's late at night.” Ruhan wears her jeans jacket which is rested on the back seat she sits on.
“Em,” says others agree.
While I was driving to the parking lot, I used this opportunity to check my phone. I want to confirm what Ruhan said if Alby's sister called me many times. Not in disbelief, just that I didn't hear my phone ring, or just feel the vibrations. And right, it turns out there were a lot of calls and incoming messages from Alby's sister.
“By, we go back first yes,” said Ruhan opened the conversation.
“Ya, okay. Be careful on the road. When you arrive, let me know.” Alby smiled at Ruhan.
“I'm glad to know you Ryn, next time we meet again yes,” said Cyra.
“Yes, I'm also glad to meet you all. Hopefully next time we can meet again,”.
“Iya, hopefully.” Mirza continued the conversation while smiling faintly. Not long after, Alby's friends left the parking lot, and there was nothing left. Suddenly I remembered the incident with the man in the black hat who was hugging me when I almost fell. I was still curious about the man, why he just left me. I swept my gaze around the cafe, hoping to see the man once more.
“Come home,” take brother Alby.
“Ha?” I was half conscious.
“Ayo, home. Do you want to stay here?” ask Alby.
“No,” I replied briefly.
“Who are you looking for?” ask brother Alby curiously.
“Nothing. I ... I just want to get some fresh air,” I replied.
“Fresh air? Or ... charming guy?” Brother Alby drew his eyes closer, there was a mischievous smile on Alby's lips.
“Iih, Sister.” I kept Alby's face out of front of me.
“Do not talk carelessly. I'm not easily attracted to men, even though he's charming and rich.” I gave an affirmation.
“I'm just kidding, why is his tone angry?” ask brother Alby not accept.
“Obviously I'm angry, Big Brother kind of humbles me. My taste is unique, and only I know.” I defended myself.
“Tall, charming, face-to-face cross-country, martial arts, has a body like a military force, and works as a doctor. That's right, your criteria?” Alby looked at me with a smile. I listened in detail to every word that Alby said, trying to make sure that what he said was true. In fact, every word that Alby said was true. My criteria are complicated, but that's me. I like complicated, rare things.
“Really?” ask Alby to make sure.
“No. That's not true. Anyway, only I know, point.” I dodged.
“No need to lie, you told me yourself first. Don't you remember?” Alby tried to remind.
“Dan ... it .. chances are there is only one person.” Hearing Alby's words, I knew exactly who he meant. Although not stated clearly, but directly lead to someone who I have always admired. Kenzhi, he is the only person I admire, and the majority of my criticism is on him.
“I don't want to discuss this anymore. Please, don't forward.” There was a puddle of tears on my eyelids when I remembered Kenzhi. My chest always aches suddenly when I remember it.
“Sorry, Brother has no intention of offending you. Next time, Big Brother won't discuss this anymore.” There's a look of regret on Alby's face.
“We should hurry home now, it's getting late at night,” he continued. I just nodded slowly.
*****
While at home, Alby quickly parked his bike in the garage. We rushed into the house, and it turned out that mom was waiting for me and Alby's sister in the living room.
“Mother hasn't slept?” I asked when I saw my mother was busy packing her cell phone.
“How can I sleep, while my children are not home yet,” replied the mother.
“Sorry Mom, we came home late.” Brother Alby is sorry.
“It's okay, forget it. Better to go to bed quickly, the day gets late.” Mother glanced towards the watch in her hand.
“Iya Mother, we excuse you to go to the room first,” sahutku and brother Alby almost simultaneously.
“Mother also goes to sleep immediately, it is not good if women sleep too late.” Brother Alby reminded.
“Iya, Mom will be sleeping soon,” said. After hearing the mother's reply, Alby and I hurried to go into their respective rooms. Arriving at the room, I quickly lay down on my soft bed. I hugged my beloved doll, tried to find peace, and let go of fatigue.
*****
“Ryn, Ryn. Wake up, just for a second. Let's wake up Ryn, and look at me.” The voice is now getting clearer.
“See me, just a minute.” I opened my eyes and I saw a man hugging me in the cafe, sitting on the edge of my bed. His black hat covered half of his face. I got out of my sleep and moved on. I was surprised to see him. How did he get in here, and know if this is my room. Also, where did he know my name was Ryn. I shifted a few inches back, trying to distance her. My chest was pounding in surprise, and my breathing became irregular.
“Who are you? Why can I enter my room?” manya curious.
“You don't recognize me?’ He even asked back.
“Do you know my voice?” ask again. I saw a small smile on his lips.
“Vote?” I remember, hoping to find someone whose voice resembled her.
“Eh, don't come near.” I retreated backwards as he brought his seat closer.
“Do not be afraid, I am not a bad person,” he said trying to convince me.
“Then why are you in my room? Not polite. It's late at night.” There was anger in my speech.
“I don't care what you'll say to me. Obviously, I miss you.” He opened the black hat that covered his face, and how surprised I was when I saw his face.
“Kenzhi.” There was a puddle of tears that suddenly filled my eyelids when I found out that the man was Kenzhi.
“It turns out you didn't forget me.” Kenzhi smiled sweetly at me.
“Is this really real? This is really you?” My hands were shaking when I touched his face.
“It's me. Really me.” Quickly, Kenzhi clasped my hand tightly.
“Kenzhi,” said I half muttered. The tears that were stirring finally dripped as well.
“I've told you many times, don't cry. Why are you still crying?” He slowly wiped my tears gently.
“I'm here, with you. Don't you shed tears when you're with me. I don't like to see you cry.” Kenzhi tidied up my messy hair.
“I miss you.” Kenzhi held me tightly in his arms.
“I miss you a lot too.” I felt a tremor when I was in his arms. My chest was pounding violently, my breathing also became irregular. However, I felt very happy to be with Kenzhi again, and I really felt the truth of this embrace.
*****
“Ryn, Ryn.” I faintly heard mother's voice half-screaming from my room.
“Ryn.” His voice now sounded louder. I opened my eyes, my chest pounding along with a long sigh. I immediately switched my seat from my sleep.
“It was morning, my inner” when I felt the sunlight infiltrating through the gap of my window curtains blinding my eyes. I felt the bottom of my eyelids wet, my eyes also felt damp. I glanced at the bed, and I saw the bolster I hugged last night look wet. I quickly got out of bed, then moved to the front of the dresser. My eyes look puffy, and wet from tears. To just blink it hurts.
“I dreamed,” I muttered when I was in Kenzhi's arms.
“Evening I only dream?’ I just don't believe it. There are tears in my eyelids.
“But ... why does it feel so real? She really feels with me.” I looked in the mirror, and I saw my tears coming back.
“Ryn,” call mom from outside accompanied by knocking door. I quickly wiped my tears.
“Iya, Mother.” There was a slight vibration in my tone of voice.
“Wake up, it's noon.” My mother half screamed from outside.
“Iya, Mum.” I said a short half scream.
“Mother and sister Alby are waiting in the dining room.” I heard the sound of mom's feet starting to go down the stairs.
“Iya,” my answer is short. I rushed to the bathroom and washed my face. After wiping it off with a towel, I combed my hair to make it look a little more tidy. After that, I quickly got out of my room and went down to join Alby's mother and sister in the dining room. Arriving in the dining room, I dragged a few inches behind the chair that was now in front of me facing the dining table. I took a piece of bread and smeared it with chocolate jam. After that, I slowly devoured it.
“Why did you wake up this afternoon? Your eyes ... also look puffy. You crying?” ask the suspicious mother. I was silent for a moment, looking for the sense to answer mother's questions while still trying to calm down.
“Today is a holiday, so I can get up during the day.” I closed the glass of milk available on the table.
“But, your eyes look puffy, like you've been crying. What ... are you okay?” My voice now sounds like a worried person.
“You sick?” ask mom again.
“I ...” I stopped my words. There are doubts about answering it.
“Mother, don't worry, Ryn's fine. Maybe, all night she cried because she was carried away by the dream of the movie she watched last night. He will be easily carried away by the feeling of watching the movie.” Brother Alby is now glancing at me.
“Sister, don't mock me like that.” I defended myself.
“I'm not mocking, that's right. I often catch you crying when watching movies.” Brother Alby confirmed.
“Indeed, what's wrong with crying? That's his name deep into the story.” I got another loaf of bread with chocolate jam.
“Already, don't start fighting,” by mother.
“Sister mocked me Mom, how can I be silent,” said I did not accept.
“I've told you, I often catch you fussing when watching movies. So, it's not a mockery, but the truth.” Brother Alby confirmed.
“No, it's not true.” I dodged.
“True,” sahut kak Alby.
“No.” I glanced cynically at Brother Alby. The mother who was watching us, just smiled without commenting.
