Becoming Like My Mother

Becoming Like My Mother
CHAPTER 38

This week Melati kept quiet in her room. Everyone who entered Melati did not pay attention to him at all. All he did was sleep, eat and pray and daydream. Even his eyes were empty. Busy with his own mind.

Father, Mother, Brother and his friends tried to persuade him. But Melati seemed to care for her hearing. His family was also very sad to see Melati down. Fahmi's family also sometimes visit Ikhsan's residence. They waited for Ikhsan's answer, they also saw for themselves how Melati was doing.

Currently Mina is preparing food for Melati because it is already scheduled lunch. Ikhsan.

"Sir, let Mas deliver this." Pinta Ikhsan to Mina.

Mina smiled. "No need Mas, actually I also want to talk to him something."

"That's what you always say Mina. But what was the response from Melati, to just look at her he was reluctant. You're pregnant with our son Mina. I know you're tired."

"No, please, just today." Mina said pleading.

Ikhsan sighed, he nodded in response to his wife's request. "It's up to you. But surely you must not forget your own health." His post.

"Of course. Yes, I've left first." Mina passed from Ikhsan with a tray in her hand.

Chequek. The three-headed woman saw her daughter on the balcony. It is no stranger to him. Because indeed every time he entered was indeed this thing done by Melati.

"Honey. Eat first yeah." Her voice gently put her food on the table. Then he approached and gently held his daughter's shoulder.

Jasmine simply nodded, she sat herself on the sofa. Mina purposely made him her favorite food. But still, anything that enters Melati's mouth right now feels bland. There is no***** at all, he eats only because he wants to appreciate Mom.

Mina watched Melati who ate her homemade cooking until it ran out. Then he gave his drinking water to Melati. There was something he always wanted to say. But Melati never noticed it at all.

"Sir-",

"Mom, don't you get tired of Mom always being like this. Mom, I just want to be alone first. I know for a fact both Mom and Dad want to talk about my marriage to that man, right?, Mom, please understand. I'm so tired of all this. It never crossed my mind to do this and that after everything that happened. All I want right now is calm." Melati said cutting Mina's words.

"No Son. I never meant for you to do this or that. I just want to say one thing. Please let me tell you, son. Give me a chance to talk." Melas Mina's.

"Yes, I want to say this and that. Telling things that others have experienced is like me. Then Mom convinced me to get married. Is that it?, ma'am, I beg my life has been ruined, with me coming into his life it will make my life worse. Please understand."

"alright. I won't mention anything about marriage or about the man. But right now I beg you to watch Mom for a minute."

Melati staring at the middle of Mother, he continued this. He looked the other way. Mina let out a rough breath. Then his gaze led to his daughter's study table.

Mina approached the table and picked up some of Melati's stationery. Melati did not care at all what Mina did. Mina's footsteps approached her daughter. He sat beside Melati.

"Look at Mom Son." Mina said to rule. But Melati did not budge. Forcibly Mina pointed Melati's face at the papers and stationery she had brought. Melati looked at her mother's annoyance. Mina was no less fierce to return Melati's gaze.

Melati closed her eyes and breathed a lot of air. He relented, for today he will listen to Mom. A woman who's been taking care of him all along.

Mina started the action, she put aside one blank paper and placed it in the corner of the table. Then he started drawing with a second paper. I don't know what he drew but from the sketches he drew it started to look good. Not forgetting that he gave the color in the picture.

Melati was getting tired of watching her mother's behavior. He turned his face away.

"Didn't try to turn away." Firm Mina. Then he continued his activities. Melati grunts annoyed. But he obeyed Mina's orders.

Mina put the picture next to the blank paper, and then took the third paper. Jasmine frowned as Mina accidentally spilled the black color paint. But Mina cleverly added another color to make the paper that was dirty to be very beautiful. Melati stared at Mina's amazement.

After Mina finished drawing she again picked up the fourth paper. Melati stared at this mother's heart. "Mom if you want to draw you don't have to show me. Although I admire you for your new skills I know this but I don't like paintings like this."

Mina stared intently at Melati, keeping her eyes on Mom. That's the meaning of his eyes. Doldrumsily Jasmine obeys her Mother. But he felt sick, how not. Mina asks him to watch her mother for an hour. But he himself always remained silent and sat on the balcony did not feel sore at all.

The woman who had two children was back to drawing. He did the same as before, deliberately spilling black stains on the paper he had prepared. But what makes it different is that it adds no other color than black. Mina still tried to make it beautiful even though all she added was black.

Mina again picked up the paper, this is the fifth paper. He just spilled the black stain and let it go. He stuck all the papers on the table. Show everything to Melati. Melati breathed a sigh of relief as she finally stopped. He leaned his body against the wall of the sofa.

"Look listen to Mom right now!" Mina firmly rules.

"All right." Answer Melati listlessly.

Melati.

"This is the parable of the woman who still has her precious treasure."

Deg. The heart stops as if. He stared at Mina's bead. Is Mom insinuating him.

"You must not think strangely Jasmine. Just listen to me until it's over." Actually Mina feels very guilty, but what she is doing right now is for her daughter.

"Then you see this one!" Mina pointed at the second picture. A very beautiful picture, which he drew with drawing steps as taught by his teacher.

"You see how Mom drew it from the beginning?"

Melati nodded in response.

"You saw Mom make this using all of this, right?" Pointing all stationery. From pencils, erasers, rulers, dyes and more.

Melati again nodded.

"Paper describes a woman who renounces her honor to her will. From starting to love a man, then having a relationship with the man he loves, and marrying the man he loves to give his crown to the man. Everything happened on his wish until his life became very beautiful"

"Enough Mom!" Jasmine raised one of her hands. He was very hurt to hear his mother's words. As if it was just a secondhand item that was completely useless and precious in the slightest.

"What do you mean by explaining all this?!!" Say Melati in high tone. Enough patience has been tested. Her tears have also shed.

"Didn't Mom tell you to shut up first. I'm not done explaining everything. Listen to me until it's over." Mina pulled the hand of Melati who was already standing up to sit back next to her.

Weakly Jasmine followed Mina's words. But he was very lazy to serve his mother.

"Now look at this!" Mina pointed to the third paper.

"Look at this!" Be firm once again. With his cocky feeling Melati noticed the one shown by Mina.

"You see how Mom drew it from the beginning?" Melati.

"This is a woman whose life has lost its purity because of circumstances."

Deg. Melati again felt her heart beating again. He held back his cries, his breathing began to rise and fall in haste.

"However, he has a lot of sense and a broad heart to make his life change. He added color to his life. By doing things that make his life back perfect even though impure. You see this picture is so beautiful. And when others see it, it will be very exciting. Although at the time of the process sometimes people look at him one eye. But look at the firmness of his heart, look at the spirit within him. In the end people will be silent and there is only a sense of pride and amazement."

Melati looked at her mother, then looked back at the picture Mina showed. He began to think about what his mother had said. He described a woman whose mother had described him.

"Now look at this picture." Showing the fourth paper. Melati immediately noticed what her mother had shown.

"Do you see how Mom drew it from the beginning?" Mina asked the same question as before.

"This is a woman who was originally like the third paper. But he decided to do the same thing that is back shed black color. The shape is indeed beautiful but who will praise him is only one race with him."

"You know what I mean, don't you kid this one?"

Melati nodded back.

"Then you see this one!" Pointing to the last paper.

"This is the same woman as before. But after this he did not think at all to give any color. All he did was let things go like that. Stay still in place. But you see, son, the longer left, the dirtier the dust or other dirt. This does not make it beautiful, but only makes it more dirty and even damaged by itself."

Again Melati describes the life of the woman Mina has described. He began to compare himself. Slowly he began to realize what he was doing.

He took all the papers neatly lined up. He looked at her one-on-one, and compared her to his own life. Mina smiled looking at her daughter who was seriously staring at all her pictures. At least with this he hopes there is a little progress in Melati.

Slowly Mina left Melati to ponder over everything.
