Wrong: The Brief In The Right Heart

Wrong: The Brief In The Right Heart
After Friday

An elderly man was reading a sermon from a book that may be older than the age of his readers. His voice was soothing, though flat and the glasses-wearing speaker often coughed.

In Afriz's ears, the content of this sermon was nothing new. Even so, he still enjoyed and reaped the benefits of the sermon as advice that has not been contaminated by the ripples of worldly life.

However, many things can not be considered trivial from the advice of a trivial man who was standing in the pulpit of the mosque.

After Friday prayers and a moment of greeting with fellow mosque worshipers, Afriz rushed home.

Because, on the previous Friday-Friday, after the mosque, there is someone who must have been waiting for his return to eat the food prepared this afternoon together. Given that, his stomach got hungry.

It's not wrong anymore. Since the man parked his duck bike under a guava tree in the yard, the fragrant smell of cooking has filled his sense of smell. He went to the source of the smell.

"Assalamu'alaikum," he said.

"Wa'alaikumsalam's chat. Did you go home?" asked Zaya who was still busy lifting the pot.

Afriz grinned, sliding the chair. "Yes. I'm hungry too."

"Attep, yes, Mas. Patience first, this is the vegetable just after I lift."

Afriz nodded in understanding. He who had just landed his ass on the dining table chair, then got up to pick up the plate on the shelf, intended to help his wife.

Not to forget, the young man also chose the spoon to be used. While his wife was pouring fruiting dishes into a medium-sized bowl.

"From the smell it's good, yeah."

"God willing, not ruined like the old cuisine," kekeh Zaya, who inevitably made Afriz remember the incident the other day when Zaya first cooked for him.

Yes, the first experience will always be memorable, whether good or bad. Unfortunately, the impression caused by Zaya's first cooking for him can not be said to be good, although not bad-bad very. Luckily, his wife did not cook him any food, and painstakingly learned from the experience. The more here, the taste of Zaya's cooking improved.

Asem, sambal, tempeh fry, and fish crackers are readily available at the table. Although only see the menu is that simple, the stomach of Afriz actually increasingly protesting.

Zaya had already brought two hot rice coats for her husband. "What would you like to eat?"

"Everything, that."

Zaya giggled for a while, before her hand picked up rice for her husband.

Shortly after, when Zaya lifted the vegetable spoon to pick up the vegetables, there was the sound of Faiz's crying.

"Let's just get your own vegetables, yeah. Poor Faiz if you have to wait."

"It's okay, Mom, if I stay?"

"Sana, hunt to Faiz's place. Bring him here, all of you." Without answering Zaya's question, Afriz asked her not to ask.

Afriz could see that the hijab-wearing young lady nodded and rushed towards the source of the crying. He looked at the woman's back, and he sighed. "It's still unbelievable, look at a woman as young as you've got to take this, yeah."

He could not imagine how many women with similar fates would have to support a child alone. Not to mention the social life that is certainly not friendly. Not to mention having to resist personal desires for the sake of children who are not actually expected to be present.

Even though he was well aware that it was all a result of their own person. But still, he felt unbearable.

Afriz quickly finished his lunch. Then take a clean plate, intending to get the rice and its companion for someone who should have eaten this food with him.

Shortly after, Zaya came out of the room.

"Yes, you haven't eaten, have you? Here, eat first, have Mas get it, you just take the sauce," he bargained.

"Put it in there, Mom. I'll eat."

Inevitably, Afriz finally approached the figure. "Faiz let it be the same Mas. You eat first. It's too late. Don't wait for dinner."

It is not new for Afriz to take turns with Zaya taking care of Faiz. When eating, praying, bathing, they took turns to take care of the toddler. Although sometimes he was upset also by the fat toddler, when he did not want to understand the condition of his mother who was overwhelmed.

Faiz blinked funnyly as he looked at Afriz, before he completely changed hands.

"Yes, Mum."

Then there was no conversation afterwards, because the two men were busy with their respective affairs.

"On moving letters to take care of our new KK, if you want to take in the near future, Mas has not been able to. There's still a lot of work that hasn't been done. So we're looking for a good time, but not anytime soon," Afriz began after Zaya finished eating.

"Yes, let me take it myself to my father's house."

"Courageously?" tanya Afriz was less sure.

"Brave, lah. Take public transport. Safe, Mas. Not going to be stray either.

Afriz sought earnestness from the eyes of his interlocutors. "Related?"

Zaya nodded steadily. "That's sure. But I want to nginep, so I can all take off kangen to father and mother. Can you, right, Mas?"

Afriz thought for a moment, weighing the best decision. "But there don't be long. Just last night."

"Yes not dong, he said. Week, huh. Can you?"

Afriz.

"Five days?"

Again Afriz shook his head.

"Four days?"

For the third time Afriz shook his head.

"Three days?"

"For example you leave tomorrow afternoon, the day after tomorrow morning you should be home."

"Yeah." Zaya was disappointed. "Not a miss, Mas."

"Yes on?"

"Three days, huh?"

"Look. Mas understand, you have been missing kangen to your family in Karang Kidul, and you need more time there to be lost kangen. But, I'm ...." Afriz didn't have the heart to continue his sentence. "Yes already, lah. You may be three days there, but leave in three or four days, while Mas is out of town. So, you're not lonely at home."

Zaya's eyes, which had been focused on Afriz for some time, immediately sparkled. "Really?"

"Yes. You leave on Monday or Tuesday. Friday has returned. That, huh?"

Zaya nodded enthusiastically. Which other delights should he deny?

So happy, Zaya now took a piece of rice. "I'm a laper again, Mom."

Afriz. "Eat a lot, let the body be a bit full."

"My body is all this, Mas. It also contains what?"

"Yes if we want to miss after a few days apart will make it so good."

Uh, what the hell, Friz? Afriz suddenly clumsy when he realized his words just now.

"Say what, Mas?"
