Wrong: The Brief In The Right Heart

Wrong: The Brief In The Right Heart
Eloquence

Duars!

The thunderbolt in the midst of the increasingly heavy rain surprised Faiz who was almost asleep. The toddler cried and screamed, as if calling Zaya who was not far from her position.

Zaya stroked the toddler's head and back in turn. "Faiz. Yes, this is mama here sleeping with Faiz."

Actually, the woman was afraid of the lightning that became the sound of the background of this sad atmosphere. As if not enough, the wind was blowing. Causing a rumble that is no less frightening.

However, for the sake of the little man Zaya pretended to be brave. Although every time a single lightning bolt managed to deafen his ears, he had to tightly hug the toddler around him.

His head turned to the wall clock. Until this late night, her husband had not returned home. His feeling was suddenly bad. "Mas Afriz hasn't come home yet, has he? Outside the rain was horrified gini, again."

After making sure that Faiz had slept after almost half an hour of being knocked over, the woman got up from her bed. He took a cell phone that he hadn't touched. Then call her husband's number, which unfortunately is not active.

Repeatedly he tried to connect, all he heard was the voice of the operator. "The number you are calling is inactive or out of range of the service area. Please ...."

Again, he looked at the wall clock. At 23:15 p.m., or so, either. His view is not so clear. His eyes are getting heavier, while the weather out there has not given any signs of improving.

He yawned several times, and several times his head almost lost balance. But he did not move from his place waiting for Afriz's return.

A hand touched his arm slowly. "Mas Afriz," he murmured while collecting some of the blurred vision. "Eh, sorry, Pa. I think Mas Afriz," he said, was so aware that the man who touched him was not the husband. "What's up, Pa? Papa want some tea? Let Zaya make it."

Mr. Life shook his head. "You rest in the room, yeah. Let Papa wait for Afriz."

Zaya's eyes blinked a few times. "But ...."

"You accompany Faiz, pity him," cut Mr. Life fast.

Feeling no need to argue, Zaya nodded obediently. But unbeknownst to her in-laws, the woman's steps did not lead her into the room, but turned towards the kitchen. He intends to make hot coffee for Mr. Life who is now sitting on the sofa, waiting for Afriz's return.

"This, Pa," said Zaya, allowing her father-in-law to enjoy the black coffee she had just made.

Looking at the one big cup before him, Mr. Life looked in wonder at his daughter-in-law. "Aren't you sleeping?"

"It was so sleepy. But now it's drowsiness, really. Heh' Zaya's grin, making Mr. Life shake his head. "Come, drink, Pa. It's still hot."

Lightly Mr. Life could not resist the temptation of the puff of smoke from the cup on the table in front of him. Then without having to be forced, he took the object and sipped the contents inside.

"Pa," Zaya called hesitantly, just after her in-laws had placed the cup on the table.

"Yes, what's wrong?"

"Emmm ... about Mas Afriz story to Papa, right? About his work, maybe. Lately Mas Afriz often leave early in the morning, and the return must have been if I had slept."

Instead of answering the question just now, Mr. Life actually smiled amusedly. "Why indeed? Are you missing?"

"Eh, that's not it." Despite saying so, Zaya could not hide her reddened face. "It's just weird. Recently Mas Afriz came home more than 10 p.m. Never before. It's often 9 to get home."

Again, Mr. Life smiled amusedly. "It's not really strange and new for Afriz that these hours have not come home, yes. It used to be this way too."

"Don't you mean, coming home at these hours is normal for Mas Afriz?"

"Oh," said Zaya, do not understand what to add to it again. If it's about Afriz and his girlfriend first, he's like he's out of words.

"Papa doesn't really know what Afriz used to do out there with his friends or his girlfriend. So, Papa doesn't want to talk about that weird thing about your husband. But the one that Papa can tell you." Mr. Life gave a pause to get the attention of Zaya. "When you know Afriz's past, please accept that. Because after all, he's still your husband. And whatever happens next, keep your household. Yea?"

Swallowed for a bit, then Zaya assented with a nod. Although she doubts whether she can accept her husband's past surrounded by many women, as well as the fact that for her is still too gray or not.

Really, he doesn't know yet.

Now the woman lowered her head, then rubbed her palms together for warmth. Actually, he wanted to ask a lot of questions. Also very curious to know how the past of the man who is now her husband.

He does not want to push. But can't the past be used as a reference material for future improvements? Moreover, Afriz has never explained openly about his youth.

Mr. Life looked coldly at Afriz who had just passed through the door. "Next time you go and tell your wife" he said. "It used to be possible that you could go and go home at any time. But now there's your wife who's worried about waiting, not knowing what you're doing out there."

Afriz did not respond. He let out a tired sigh, also not understanding his feelings as he looked at the disappointed face of the father.

"Papa go to the room first." Zaya only heard the voice of Mr. Life faintly. His life seemed to be between the conscious and the unconscious, as his father-in-law grew farther away.

Finally Afriz turned his head, and found Zaya almost falling out of place. "You haven't slept, have you?" ask Afriz whose arrival was completely unaware by his interlocutor.

"Not yet. I'm waiting for Mas. Lagian ... I'm not sleepy." Contrasting with his words, Zaya's eyes let out water as it constantly evaporated. Then the woman closed her mouth, yawning for the umpteenth time.

"But it's almost one in the morning. You usually have ten hours of sleep."

With eyes that had already bristled, Zaya forced a smile. "It's okay, it's once in a while." Then he stood up, going to the room. Trying not to care what her husband says. But his body was shaken as his legs began to step.

Luckily, Afriz was quick to catch the burden of the body of the woman who was already drowsy heavy. "I can't sleep too much at night just wait for Mas to come home" he murmured, before he lifted the body that had lost balance.

Although it looks petite, it turns out Zaya's body is heavy as well. Evidently during the first few seconds holding the woman, Afriz almost lost his balance. After successfully mastering this body in his hands, the man stepped decisively into their room.

Luckily Zaya did not close the door of the room, so Afriz did not have to bother balancing the body while opening the object in front of him. He simply kicked her slowly, then carried and laid Zaya on the bed.

He opened the head covering that Zaya was wearing, then removed the pigtails that tied the woman's hair. As soon as he finished, Afriz observed the face of his wife who had fallen asleep. Honestly, he misses Zaya.

For a difference of opinion that has not met the bright spot. Whether he had to delay his wish and had to wait for Zaya to be ready or how, he didn't know yet. The two have not discussed further. Meanwhile, he chose to shy away from the woman in front of him to prevent things that are not desirable.

"Sleep well, honey," he whispered.

Wi pi wi pi pi wi wi wi.

"This morning there is a sound of birds so," murmured Afriz while shaking softly when he heard the sound of birds of love that seemed to perch on the roof tile.

If Zaya hadn't slept, she would have been terrified and would have been associated with widespread myths. That the bird brings a sign of impending doom, especially death.

Afriz walked into the bathroom, ignoring the honest sound of the bird that gave him goosebumps.
