Wrong: The Brief In The Right Heart

Wrong: The Brief In The Right Heart
Moments of Childhood

Afriz did not dismiss the notion that Zaya is a boring type of woman.

Rarely have the initiative to open the topic of conversation, rigid when it comes to romantic things, often respond to physical contact slowly, and have daily habits that are often monotonous.

Even so, Afriz always likes and does not want to disturb every time his wife is doing activities like this. That is when Zaya was sitting cross-legged in front of a small table, facing the Qibla, chanting the holy verses of the Quran in a melodious voice.

The activity makes the house that he used to stay away from this feel brighter and filled with a lot of goodness. His heart also calmed down. At least, her limited ability in reading the scriptures had been patched up by the woman.

Under such circumstances, Afriz felt unworthy of the nickname solemn men as Zaya had said. Because in hindsight, he did not meet the criteria to be called a pious man. Reading the Quran alone he lamented for mercy.

"Shadaqallaahul'adhim...." Zaya closed and then touched the silver-embroidered, thick-clad scripture to his forehead and nose, as a sign that his holy activity was over. Then he returned the object in his hand to its original place, on the bookshelf at the top.

"Have you been there long?" zaya asked, once aware of Afriz's presence around her.

Afriz responded with a nod.

Then, silence crept. To the extent that Zaya's steps as she approached her husband sounded so loud.

The woman's steps became slower when she heard something. "Eh," he said a bit surprised at once was wary. "Here you hear that, don't you?" tanyanya.

Despite hearing it, Afriz still did not want to think strangely. "What?"

"That's a voice from above."

Afriz was silent, not answering. Because he didn't just hear that voice once.

Wi pi wi pi pi wi wi wi.

"That's the sound of the bird of love, isn't it?" muttered Zaya with a trembling voice.

The sound of birds is like being right above their homes, then it seems to disappear as the movement of the owner who is away. Go, after that back again in the original direction, while still making the same sound. Typical and repetitive. Sounds scary and gripping.

Afriz nodded in agreement, as well as understanding where this conversation was headed. "Not to be afraid, yes. There's not gonna be anything."

"But the bird of love, right ...."

"Src ...." Afriz shook his head, stopping his wife's prejudice. "There will be nothing, Yang. You don't have to believe the same things. It's just a myth. As soon as you pray, may all be well."

Inevitably, Zaya nodded as well. Suggesting that what determines destiny is not the bird of Love or any other creature, but the creator of the creatures he refers to.

Wi pi wi pi pi wi wi wi. Wi pi wi pi pi wi wi wi.

For the umpteenth time Zaya shuddered. Because, with the sound of the bird of Love is a bad sign.

It is said that the bird that never made the nest is allegedly told the arrival of disaster, especially death, around the radius of sound.

That also made him worry. His feeling was suddenly bad. Fear that anything will happen to any one or even some of his family members.

But there is no reason to refute the words of her husband, so that he increases the prayer so that everything is fine. He only needs to ask for protection from the Life-Giver, not just think about the preconceptions that make him like a Godless man.

"You ever say, said there's something you want to show me?" afriz asked finally, trying to distract from the unpleasant atmosphere just now.

"Eh, a minute." Zaya just left Afriz, not sitting next to the man.

Meanwhile, Afriz shook his head. I can't stop thinking about Zaya's behavior.

In less than three minutes, Zaya was back in front of Afriz, with his hands carrying the Afriz family photo album. After that he sat as comfortably as possible to convey something. "When the day comes, Faiz take these with him. Well, I kept finding something, "pointed Zaya on a page of old picture paper in her hand.

"What?"

"Look at me." Zaya offered the photo album to her husband who was sitting next to her. His body was getting closer to his interlocutor. "Mas remember, don't you?"

"Oh, this?" Afriz smiled amusedly. "It was forgotten, but now remember."

"Really?" Zaya's attention was focused on Afriz. She hoped that the information she would get from her husband was very interesting. "Certain about that time dong, Mas."

Afriz seemed to think for a moment, remembering. "At that time your two front teeth were toothless, and each time asked why toothless, you always said mamam yap which means your teeth are eaten by termites. Your age is also still snot and squish."

Zaya clucking. She could not figure out why her husband remembered such embarrassing things. "That dreaded time?"

"Which one should it be?"

"Yes what cake, the other. I was bad or something."

"No, you're not bad. Your little one is also sweet as a gini." Although his mouth spoke so, Afriz was almost blown away. It was very pleasant to remember a little creature named Ihzaya Nurina who was three years old at the time. "But you want to know what really isn't?"

Zaya nodded. "Yes. I'm really curious."

Now Afriz held back his smile. "Mas remember, in the past, every time you finished bathing, you like running because you do not want to wear clothes and pants. Where else if you use a towel, the towel is often you loose so you can freely shake-shake not clear."

It was worse than the first one!

"No way. I never did that!" elak Zaya, who unfortunately is completely useless.

Afriz chuckles. "Where do you remember? At that time, you will be only 3 years old if not wrong. I'm 11 years old, so I remember that."

"So, I love to look for opportunities to see me again ...."

Both of Zaya's eyes widened. "Mas!" sulking.

"Well what, if not naked? You're not wearing clothes and pants" said Afriz. "But your accusation about Mas deliberately watching you naked is not true. I just saw the right moment to invite Mama to your house. That was not intentional either."

"Relatedly, not intentionally?"

"Related." But Afriz remembered something. "Eh, but you want to wear clothes and pants if Mas is wearing. If you refuse, you cry and don't want to get dressed."

Zaya still doesn't accept it. He was sure he couldn't be that shy. "Oh, at best I'm the one who made up the story."

"No. Why not, if the facts are more exciting?" Afriz had a harder time holding back his laughter. Enfolded Zaya's body into an embrace.

Then the young man laughed out loud, imagining little Zaya who used to love to walk or run around in the house without clothes, also without shame.

Zaya pinched her husband's arm. "Not laughing!"

"You're funny, anyway." Afriz spent the remains of his laughter. "After knowing the story, now want to shake while naked kayak first no longer, Yang? It's late, and we're in the room, right. If you want, Mas sincerely watch it," he whispered seductively. His body had even locked onto Zaya's movements. "There's no guarantee that Mas won't keep you here all night."

At the end, Zaya who regretted because of the talk about the old photos that she opened it became the way to the dirty thoughts and actions of her husband.

...***...

Zaya's eyes were closed, but she couldn't really sleep.

He repeatedly changed positions. Tilt to the left, right, back, to the stomach. Pulling and lowering the blanket, squeezing the bed, alternately hugging Afriz and bolsters. But she could not catch up with her husband who had slept well.

Mas," she called out, hoping that the husband would turn towards her in a conscious state. "I can't sleep" he reported.

Now his hands dared to disturb the sleep of this man next to him. "Maaas," he called me whining.

"Hm?"

Finally Zaya sat down, then seized the bolster that was under Afriz's control. "Maaas," he whined again.

This time his efforts yielded results. The man he had earlier called, now rubbed both eyes. "Why?" ask Afriz. Her voice raspy.

"I couldn't sleep today."

Afriz got up and turned on the sleeping lamp on the table. "Why?"

"I don't feel good."

"What's so good?"

"don't know. Suddenly not good."

Hearing the puzzling answer just now, Afriz yawned. "Drowsiness, Yang," he said as he prepared to lie down again to continue his disturbed sleep.

"Don't sleep anymore" Zaya said. "Temenins."

After a few seconds of inaction, Afriz finally got up as his hands cleared the corners of his eyes.

"We've been living together for almost seven months, Mas. After what we've been through so far .. How do you really feel about me?" For some reason, the question just flashed through Zaya's mind, and she was immediately spoken.

Afriz clasped Zaya's hand, trying to channel warmth to his interlocutors. I try to give the best answer for both of them. "Mas is ready to protect you and defend our marriage."

Unsatisfied with the answer he had just received, Zaya shook her head. Nope. That's not what he wants to hear.

They just need certainty about the direction of their relationship. Before the second step is further away.

Before his feelings really urge him to decide ready to have a baby, the more the day the chances are greater.

"Mas ... Love is not the same as me?" ask Zaya, make the point.

Afriz's body froze. Sudden spit of fibers. It was very clear that he was not ready to answer that one question. His lips only twitched uneasily, as if saying something but worry could be heard by his interlocutor.

Yes, that hope is soaring in Zaya's mind. Although their marriage was the result of parental intervention from each side, he hoped, Afriz maintained their household until now not because of intervention from outside the man.

Because both of them can't be sure that everything will be okay.

The ringtones and vibrations of Afriz's cell phone cut off contact and caused an un-uniform reaction from the couple.

Afriz heaved a sigh of relief, while Zaya let out a disappointed sigh. But the sound is only left until it stops on its own.

Afriz picked up his smartphone, when he heard the second ring. Then he read the name on the screen. "Nida's on the phone. Pick up first, yes," he said.

Seeing the anxious look of her husband who was interacting, Zaya became worried. But he waited for the right time to ask.

"What's up, Mom?" zaya asked, as she saw her husband hurriedly going out of the room.

"Papa is unconscious."

Zaya. "Oh God."
