The wall clock that Afriz looked at showed at nine o'clock over fifty-five minutes. The atmosphere of the house is very quiet. Silence rules the surrounding. There was no Zaya in their room.
The creaking of the opened door, resuscitated Afriz from the reverie. But it came from another room. It was as if inviting the man to approach the source of the voice.
And right, it looks like Zaya is carrying Faiz. His wife just came out of the next room.
As soon as the gazes of the two cried out, Zaya simply looked away. Pretend you don't see who's coming. He hides his sadness and the puffy state of his eyes.
Then she went to the bathroom, leaving Afriz to say a word or two.
Afriz waited long enough for Zaya to come back to the front. Until it was time for the woman to appear again, asking Faiz to chat.
"Udah peed, it's time for Faiz to get busted."
Afriz could see a smile from his wife, which was certainly only meant for Faiz.
But once aware of her existence, the woman's attitude turned cold. Just past Afriz who was standing. Bulldozed. Not saying hello at all. Not even smiling.
Afriz kira, Zaya's just taking. It turned out that the woman was really angry.
Afriz smiled bitterly.
Is there not enough punishment from his father who is now unable to communicate with him, so that Zaya does the same to him?
But the young man was still silent, even though both of his eyes were emitting a scarred look from being ignored just like that.
Still waiting for Zaya to come out of the room in front of him, then talk to him, for whatever time he awaits the arrival of his wife. Although the result is nil.
Afriz's patience faded, when he found Faiz asleep but Zaya did not immediately move. He approached, heading for a foam mattress on the floor that was a foot away. Pull Zaya's left arm out of the room.
"Mas, loose!" sentak Zaya's.
"No!" Afriz tightened his grip on the small arm. Keep pulling his wife to their room, even though Zaya continues to thrash, asking to be released. But he doesn't care anymore.
"Please!" This time Afriz's grasp was released, and Zaya moved away from the man's achievement.
Both breaths are puffed up. Zaya was about to cry again, continuing what was not finished. Now she could not hide the sadness she was feeling from her husband.
While Afriz's chest seemed to go up and down, suppressing intense emotions so as not to explode right then and there. But Zaya's attitude towards him has been outrageous.
"Mas did not expect, it turns out that you are this tight. I thought you could be a place to lean. But, look! I came home instead of welcoming you, but you were whining, pretending you didn't see!"
Zaya's breath was blocked, and suddenly gasped when she heard the sound of the door slamming in front of her.
His eyes were closed, trying to forget Afriz's gaze and speech which was completely beyond his expectations. Without being prevented, her tears just flowed.
His head feels heavy. Both knees are limp, unable to support body weight. And finally he sat down, hugging his knees. Hiding his grief and growing worries.
"Mas did not expect, it turns out that you are this tight. I thought you could be a place to lean. But, look! I came home instead of welcoming you, but you were whining, pretending you didn't see! Turns out ...."
He remembered how the wounded, tired, and anxious gazes had united in Afriz's eyes. Absolutely not expect if his efforts not to make her husband worry, it becomes a quarrel.
"... want to go home tired, confused, sick, or dead, you care!"
"I'm sorry, Mas" he whispered amid the sobbing.
Of course, he did not have to be stubborn by forcing Afriz to let him visit Pak Hidup. She should not have disputed her husband's words. She prayed enough for her in-laws from home, as she had done. After all, Afriz's ban was also for their good.
But the power of emotion has blinded everything, to the point that she cannot understand if her husband's mind is branching.
Zaya raised her head. Then regulate his breathing, controlling his originally irregular heartbeat.
His breath sounds so heavy and deep, to throw away all the negative things that had mastered the soul.
His gaze was brighter, his mind was calmer, and his heart was more airy.
The door that was slammed by the husband. Then he approached the object; touching and lowering the doorknob that turned out to be unlocked. Then he pushed the thing in front of him, slowly.
In there, Afriz fell asleep in bed with an arbitrary head, recumbent body, and so chaotic.
One by one, Zaya slashed the distance. Then adjust the seat to the position of Afriz's head.
She looked at her husband's face up close. Seemed so tired and so angry. Sometimes the mouth is murmuring indistinctly. So fretful. I don't see any peace at all. Calmness and kejilan that are usually shown, even disappear without rest.
Zaya raised her left hand, venturing into the clenched palm of her hand in the sleep. While his right hand, stroked the tired face in front of him.
"I'm sorry, Mom, if I've gone too far" she whispered, repeating her apology. Before falling asleep with the head overrides the strong body of the interlocutor.
