CHAPTER 45 - ERIKA'S DEPARTURE

Erika tidied up all her belongings, stuffed them in a suitcase and looked around her hostel room. He will miss this place, where he often smiled to himself while reading a chat from Reyhan. Erika shook her head, a sign that she should forget all that.

Everything that happened with Reyhan was pseudo, just a very selfish desire of his own. She had indeed surrendered herself to the man, hoping that she could be like the princesses in a fairy tale.

Erika closed the door to her dorm room, closing all her memories. Linda was already standing at the door of Erika's room. Seeing his friend leaving, his heart felt separated.

He already considers Erika like his own brother, even though they only knew when they entered college.

"Lin, I'm nitip this yes." while handing over a box to Linda

"Is this ka?" ask Linda.

"my cellphone. Please let's keep it simple, because it's not mine. It was Reyhan's, he who gave it to me when I went to Batam at that time so I could be easily contacted. If you meet, ask for help return it yes." said Erika.

"Trus, can't I call you donk?" ask Linda sadly.

"Quiet down. In the meantime I want to be alone first. Focus on my family. I will definitely contact you. I'm just asking you, let no one know where I am or where I am. I don't want those people to disturb my family's life anymore" Erika said with calm eyes

Linda nodded her head, a sign she understood, though she did not know when her best friend would contact her.

They hugged each other, shed tears.

"thanks to Lin. You have helped me all this time. I don't know when I can repay all your kindness." Erika wiped her tears

Reyhan has been busy lately. Ever since her father advanced the wedding date, she had to finish her work at the office, taking care of her marriage which she was desperate to cancel.

Reyhan did not have time to contact Erika. Therefore, as he had a short time to spare in his office room, he picked up the phone and sent an instant message to Erika.

The WA message he sent did not get a reply. Reyhan was feeling restless. He saw that the message was not sent. He tries to contact Erika directly, but her phone is also dead.

Finally Reyhan picked up the phone and contacted the engineering department.

"May I have Erika bring a development report to my room?" reyhan said with dignity.

"Well sir" said the person across the phone.

Reyhan was waiting for Erika in his room. Hope Erika comes soon.

Before long, the sound of the door being knocked.

"Excuse me Mr. Reyhan. I brought you the development report that you asked for." said Mila

"Ohh Erika is not working here, sir. A few days ago I resigned."

"Ok, thank you for the report then" Reyhan said

"Okay sir, I'm sorry."

Reyhan closed the documents before him, clenching his hands together. He thought why Erika did not tell him if he wanted to resign from the office, then what was the reason.

Reyhan leaned his body against his chair, still half-thinking. Suddenly the door of the room opened.

"honey, let's have lunch" Fiona said with a happy face

"You eat alone, I'm not hungry" Reyhan said

Fiona who originally came with a radiant face became annoyed. He doesn't want to argue with Reyhan. He immediately turned around leaving Reyhan and closed the door in a loud voice.

Reyhan picked up his phone and started to press a button.

"Have you any news? I'm asking immediately. I don't have much time."

"Mil, eat yuk...Angga is already sparing this" asked Riko

Mila nodded her head. Since Erika's departure, Mila has been trying to make peace with her circumstances. He knew there was no way he could have avoided Riko.

They ate not far from the office, at the pecel stall next door.

"So you were called Mr Reyhan?" ask Riko

"No, Mr. Reyhan just asked for a development progress report. Usually Erika who anterin there." replied Mila

"Emang Mr Reyhan does not know that Erika has resigned?" ask Angga

"It seems not to know lha bro, the time of the boss ngurusin resign the men" said Riko

"Yes, Mr. Reyhan was a little surprised earlier when I said Erika had resigned. Maybe not expect it" said Mila

"Lo know his family bro, you don't know where Erika went?" ask Angga

"No idea my brother mah. I just know his family is in Bandung. Maybe he was there this time." said Riko

They chatted while continuing to eat lunch.
