Let the secret be ...
Keep it as a secret ...
---------------------------------------------------------------------
"Sorry, I'm late." I pulled out a chair and sat in front of him.
"I ordered a capuccino for you. Hope you like it."
"Thank you." I sipped the coffee that was getting cold.
There was a smile on her beautiful face. A woman who made my husband crazy. She's Nadine-my stepmother-in-law, my husband's dark boyfriend.
That afternoon, he called me and invited me to meet at a cafe not far from where I work. Given the case of the shooting that also involved him a few days ago, I can guess the reason he called me to this place.
"Are you okay?" ask Nadine.
"Yes." Yeah."
"Thank God." He breathed a sigh of relief. "What about Ardian?"
"Why ask me?" just pissed.
The woman looked down. His face turned sad and confused. Long ago ... Although it was difficult, I was still able to hold back my anger when Ardian came to him. But this time .. no. I think I want to grab her elegant hair.
"I'm sorry for this incident involving you, Naya. I really don't want to drag you into danger. I just want to protect Ardian."
"Here you go, don't beat around!" my sergeant. "I have no intention of getting along with you, Mother. So, get to the point!"
I purposely called her 'mother' so she would be aware of her position. It's a shame to see such a crazy act with my husband. Although Ardian himself said that he never touched Nadine.
"I'm a little late, huh?"
"A-arrito?!" I cried when I saw the arrival of my husband's brother.
"Hi, Naya," said Ardito as he pulled the chair next to me. "We're bartering?"
"I want to see the results first" Nadine said.
Something I don't understand is going on here. Ardito took out a white envelope from his suit pocket to give it to Nadine.
Both of their faces looked serious. I also tensely watched Nadine who was looking at the writing on the piece of paper.
"Surprising, right?" asked Ardito while looking at Nadine.
Her beautiful eyes are decorated with mascara, now looks glassy. The dewy dark bead looked at Ardito with a glare. Tears appeared in her pelukannya.
"Give me the tape ... Brother!"
The brother?!
The words that came out of Ardito's mouth surprised me. He reached out to Nadine with a hunting breath. He seemed filled with emotion.
"Until when are you going to pretend, Nadine!" ardito's screams were accompanied by a wave of hands clashing with the table. "Tell the truth now! Don't try to trick me again! I'm not Ardian's selugu."
Nadine appears to be swallowing saliva. The look on his face was bitter and the more down he avoided Ardito's sharp gaze.
"Did you know?" tanya Ardito followed a nod of the head from Nadine. "Damn it! So the one who attacked Ardian wasn't him?"
"No" replied Nadine. "The attacker is your grandfather."
"I'd guess. That old fellow is really sneaky!" geram Ardito's. "Give me the tape right now!"
"Don't tell Ardian about this!" nadine said while giving a memory card to Ardito. "I'll tell him myself later."
"Whatever." Roughly, Ardito snatched the small flat object from his stepmother's hand.
"Naya ...," she said to me. "When the shooting happened, I was really sorry. One thing I want to tell you, be careful! As much as possible, don't be near Ardian if you want to survive!"
"For you to approach my husband, is that it?" sindirku. "We're both women, stop acting like cheap women!"
"Lord!" ardito pulled my arm. "Stop!"
Stop saying? I feel like I want to tear this brash woman apart. If I don't respect my father-in-law, I will definitely shave off his long hair. I'll check him with morphine.
"Nadine, go!" pinta Ardito's.
The woman left us with a sad face, and I drowned in my own confusion.

Towards the Maghrib, a red mega tinge appeared accompanying our trip. Not a word came out from the lips of this young doctor beside me. He was quiet and focused on driving. It's clear this has something to do with the contents in the envelope she gave Nadine, as well as about the memory card.
"Doctor." I try to break the silence. "Did something bad happen? Your mood doesn't look good."
The side of his lips was slightly pulled upwards to impale me. He's still flinching.
"So Nadine said that the attacker was your grandfather. Does the doctor know that, too?"
"I'm suspicious" he replied.
"So that's right?!" I jumped to hear the answer. "Ba-how is that possible? Ma-isn't he just help Ardian to deal with Om Hery?"
"He's a sneaky. It was clear he wanted to destroy Ardian. Not ... not Ardian, but dad."
"Well?!" my peek. "Kok, can you? Then, about the agreement to use the novel at that time?"
Ardito's lips locked again until we arrived in front of the Ardian apartment.
"See you later" said Ardito, as he restated his car.
"Taxi!"
Naya is not her name if not curious about many things. Seeing the strange attitude of my stepmother, as well as the silence of my brother-in-law, curiosity tickled my heart. It doesn't seem like it'll be quiet if I don't get a definite answer, which is why I came to this place.
"Ardian's wife?"
"Yes, Grandpa."
Albert Benedict Lim - grandfather of my husband. The seeds, bebet and weight of Ardian are amazing. Even at this age, his grandfather still looks authoritative. There were good looks on his face.
"It's good to see you, Naya." His friendly smile greeted me. "You're so sweet."
"Thank you, Grandpa." I smiled at her praise. "Grandfather looks cool too. Surely when young is also handsome like Ardian."
"Mahaha ...." Grandfather was burning to hear my babbling. "I'm prettier than Ardian. I can even marry three beautiful women."
"O-oh so. Ha .. haha .. ha ...."
Apparently he's a descendant, huh? Ardian is not enough for me. He's still attached to Nadine. His predecessor was the same.
"What brings you here, Naya?"
"I-it-it--"
"Sir, there's a call." A butler came to us.
"I stayed a while, Naya," said Grandpa.
"Yes." Yeah." I nodded my head a little.
Wow, take a look! I'm in a favourable situation now.
I began to browse the workspace of my husband's grandfather. A room with classic ornaments and hanging many nahal paintings on the walls. A ceramic urn of my height stood in the corner of the room. It looks expensive and classic.
I've done this before at Om Hery's house. This time, I will do it. I'll get a piece of evidence for his assault on Ardian and put an end to all this. I'm getting tired of their family's complexity.
"What's this?" I took a file from my grandpa's desk drawer. "Chatarina Benedict Lim's adoption letter."
Feeling useless, I put the file back in the drawer. I returned my gaze to the row of books arranged in the closet. It seems like this old man has a hobby of reading.
"Geez!" A book fell down as I pulled it off the shelf. "The photo album apparently."
One by one from each album page I open. Nothing special. Just a bunch of family photos.
"Well, Ardian and Ardito! From childhood, Ardian was handsome apparently." I slightly chuckled at the innocent face of the two brothers in that childhood. "This ... Who is this?"
I took a picture of my father-in-law as a young boy with a girl, who was obviously not Ardian's wife.
"You waited a long time?"
"Ah, no!" I was shocked when grandfather suddenly entered the room.
"So, what brings you here?" ask grandpa with his attitude.
"Ehm .. about the novel that Ardian asked me to write," I said reasoned. "Isn't it too far-fetched to be a best seller by choosing me who's this amateur?"
A relaxed face expression. Lean on the sofa by folding both hands on the chest. A smile full of meaning. This guy is suspicious.
"Tell me, Naya!" abugn. "What genre did you take for your novel?"
"Genres?" A little hesitation lingered in my mind. "Eitherway. I have not yet determined the genre of my writing. But I already have a picture of who I'm going to write."
"You mean, you're gonna write a true story?"
"Yes" I replied.
"Well, very interesting!" Grandpa seemed to be seriously watching me. "Whose story?"
"The story of a wealthy family, where the grandfather wanted to kill his grandson for no reason."
The look on his face changed. A little tense with squinting at me.
"Ah, Grandpa it's night. I have to go home" I said breaking the tension. "If there's time, I'll definitely stop by here again."
"Of course, you should come here again, Naya. Haha ...."
"Ehm, I'm sorry. Good night."
A very magnificent home. I need to leave this place immediately. Grandpa must have started to get suspicious. It was also my fault for talking too much. I'm so stupid.
"That's lonely. Why didn't a taxi pass?" I'm still standing at the end of the alley of that luxury residential complex.
It's been almost 15 minutes I've been waiting for a taxi to pass, nothing. Suddenly, two men in black suits came and stood at the side of the road. They were waiting for a taxi like me.
"Great!"
"Hey, stop!"
Immediately I took off the heels attached to my feet. I nimbly ran to avoid the pursuit of the two suspicious men.
Waiting for a taxi? It was obvious they were the old grandfather's bodyguards.
Goddamnit! If you get caught, end my history.
