In the distant past, humanity was almost annihilated by monsters that came out of the dimensional cracks. The monsters used something capable of bending the laws of modern physics, a phenomenon called magic.

Magic makes them much more powerful and agile, ignoring the weight of their body and muscle mass that would otherwise impede their movement. Magic also made them capable of producing various elements out of nothing, clearly violating the law of conservation of energy.

The miracle they had shown all along was more than enough to force the entire human race to perish. Fortunately, at those critical moments, another existence appeared that rivaled them. A giant humanoid robot who names himself as Deus, the Artificial God. The only legacy from ancient times that is still able to operate and is prepared specifically for mankind in dealing with these monsters.

After the protection of Deus, humanity is at a time of peace where only weak monsters sometimes attack the settlements. This is due to the strong barriers that protect populated areas. The stronger the monsters that tried to break through, the stronger the effect of the barrier to resist and repel them.

The majority of the population thinks that their lives are comfortable enough. But, in reality, peace does not come to everyone.

One out of every ten thousand births always occurs a unique phenomenon where a baby emits air that makes people uncomfortable. At the age of three, the babies began to show phenomena that did not make sense.

Some of them are able to withstand the heat of boiling water. Some even accidentally cause fires when too focused on staring at something. Not a few of them subconsciously lower the water temperature to the point where the puddle will freeze. Then, when they turn sixteen, the children will die suddenly by a phenomenon called 'Spontaneous Burning of the Human Body' - spontaneous human combustion. A phenomenon in which their bodies will burn suddenly and often cause a great fire in the place where they die.

Maybe you've realized it, and so is the human race in that world. Yes, they can use what is referred to as magic. Something that should only be done by monsters from another world. Then, likely because their bodies were unable to withstand the magic itself, they would eventually burn to death.

Strange phenomena come from children with an unpleasant presence. Of course this is a source of public displeasure.

Cursed child; Devil Incarnate; Half monster; there are so many different names in each area to call these children. However, the most common term often used by people is dalt.

For some unknown reason, even robots that normally patrol cities do not rate them as human. The robots also did not rate dalt as a monster. These children are more like being ignored and considered non-existent.

Of course, because of the different treatment shown by these robots, public hatred piles up more and more. Coupled with the problems often caused by the dalts due to their inability to control what they have, in the end many of them were thrown into the streets and lived a kara since they were born.

This is worse because later rumors spread that the true identity of the dalts are monsters reincarnated after being killed by adventurers and guards. I don't know who spread the rumor, which is clearly the public's dissatisfaction is getting higher with the dalt.

No one pityes them. No one cares. Live by scavenging leftovers in the trash. Every day there is heat and cold. Coupled with people who sometimes treat them harshly just because one member of his family was attacked by a real monster. Plus, when they step on the stage of adolescence, people will be on the lookout for their deaths which often bring disaster fires.

The lives of the dalts have never been good since they were born.

Among the dalts who had given up and accepted their destiny, there was one child who still had a high spirit of life. She calls herself Sonya, a 12-year-old girl.

The name she uses is a gift from her Mother.

Yes, unlike the other dalt, Sonya was just an ordinary child until she was about nine years old. So, she had once felt how good the normal children's lives were. Maybe because of this he also could not live as dalt in general.

Three years ago, she lived in the suburbs with her parents and six siblings. His family was not rich, they were just ordinary farm laborers who were trusted to take care of some land by local farmers. Both his parents and three brothers were always busy with work in the fields. Therefore, all matters related to the house were left to Sonya and her older sister.

Sonya is the 7th of eight children. His younger brother was four years old while his two elder brothers had been living separately. This is why since childhood he has been used to helping his older sister to take care of homework and take care of his younger brother.

Although most of her time is spent with homework, Sonya is never short of anything. He eats three times a day though with potluck side dishes. At night, he never felt lonely. Also, although often scolded when making mistakes, Sonya has never experienced the outrageous torment of her parents. Basically, he lived a normal life like most children in general.

Unfortunately, all of this does not last forever.

One morning about three years ago, Sonya woke up in a narrow slum alley. The night before, she had been sleeping in bed as usual. At that time he could only look around, feeling unfamiliar with the area he was in until he finally got used to living on the streets.

Deep in his heart, stored the desire to return to normal life like everyone else. Therefore, in addition to scavenging for garbage to find decent food, Sonya often comes to shopping just to find a decent job.

Early in the morning, before the rising sun shone on the city, Sonya sat on a large tree with her hands hugging her knees. Since last night he was sitting there, unconsciously sleeping because of the fatigue and hunger he experienced.

The girl looked ahead, staring at a small wooden house that was among the other wooden houses. Just a few minutes later he stared, three teenagers came out of the house with farming equipment. Sonya who realized that immediately got up from where she was sitting and immediately hid behind a tree.

The three men walked unknowingly, away from the housing towards the fields outside the settlement.

After being satisfied to look at the house for a while, before the sun had appeared and the place turned crowded, Sonya walked away from the location.

In fact, the first time she was dumped, Sonya went home two days later. At that moment he did not understand what had really happened and what reason had made him disposed of. Therefore, Sonya went home despite several misdirected times because she had never gone this far before.

Once home, the person she first met was her older sister. Sonya greeted as usual, intending to help in getting the homework done as usual. However, the Big Brother suddenly left without a word, running hurriedly towards the fields.

About thirty minutes later, all his family members came to Sonya. Not only them, even the neighbors who were usually busy with their activities started to gather looking at him, looking at Sonya from quite a distance away. They whispered to each other, looking worried about something.

At that time she was only nine years old, so Sonya could not remember the incident clearly. He even forgot what kind of facial features his family showed when they pulled Sonya rough and threw her away. Even so, the words of the Mother on that day he never forgot until now. A very deep word in his heart.

How dare a monster like you infiltrate our family! What was my fault that you took the position of my seventh son!

Since then, Sonya has never dared to show her face in front of her family. It was not out of hatred for the swear words he received, he simply did not want to make his mother angry anymore. The girl did not want her parents and siblings to be forced to leave their jobs in the fields only to come and drive her away.

It has been three years since that incident. Sonya also knew the reason why she was kicked out of the house. Therefore, not once did he expect to be accepted again as part of his family. What he wanted now was just to live independently properly like the population in general. Holding such a strong determination deep in her heart, Sonya walked towards the shopping mall as usual.
