Chapter 25: Waiting in Patience
During the trip to Bandung, Sarah and Eric only fell silent because of the uncomfortable situation earlier.
Eric then reached into his pocket.
“Here is your phone..” he said while returning the phone to Sarah.
“Yesterday there were several calls from universities in Brisbane. Are you going to move?” ask Eric carefully.
“Hmm. Yes, move for Hugo” Sarah said slowly as she continued to stare at the road after taking back her phone.
“ I have prepared everything for the second anniversary gift with him, a big tent because you know he likes camping including renting his favorite camping spot. Similarly, airfare and an apartment close to campus.” continued Sarah.
“I just love him that much... I can’t believe he did that to me. He told me to believe.” Sarah said as she continued to stare at the street.
“I’m sorry. Before I didn't want to believe what he was doing with Clara, if I didn't look with my own eyes and head.” Eric said softly.

Sarah then continued to drive her car to one of the hotels in the middle of Bandung.
“What is this place we will stay tonight?” ask Eric.
“Yeahh... don’t worry I'll pay for tonight.” Sarah said as she got out of the car and walked into the hotel and handed the car keys to the valet clerk.
“This girl...” Inner Eric while shaking his head and following into the hotel.
After about fifteen minutes, they immediately got the key from the receptionists and headed straight towards the elevator.
“This is your room key and we won't be one floor. Are you feeling tired? Otherwise I want to take you to the mall, buy clothes for both of us.” Sarah said as she handed over Eric's room key.
“Yeah. I'll take a shower and get ready. I will see you in one hour then?”
“Okay..”
After that Sarah got out of the elevator first walking towards the hallway of her room. He then checked his phone with a lot of messages and missed calls from Hugo. There are even some voice mail.
He called Hugo and it wasn't long before the man picked him up.
“Hey babe....” says Hugo excited.
“Hey, before you talk. I'm doing fine. I'm in Bandung, don't worry about me and Eric not sleeping together. Also, I’m sorry but I think we're both assholes. I did that with Eric yesterday. Maybe because I was drunk and mad at you for Clara. So now it’s up to you. If you want to break up so be it” said Sarah at length.
“No.. to be honest I don’t. It was all my fault. I know you did that because you drank too much and I was disappointed. But can we fix this? I can’t lose you Sarah.” said Hugo weld.
“Maybe.. look I love you but how about Clara?”
“At a time like this even you still think about that woman?”
“Well.. you slept with her means maybe you got some feelings for her, right?”
“Okay... I just need some and I will not stay too long in Bandung. I have some class too. So I will see you soon. Enjoy my room!” sarah said as she hung up.

An hour later, Sarah was in the lobby and Eric was seen walking out of the elevator and toward Sarah with a smile. Eric looks handsome in casual shorts and a tight black t-shirt that shows off his sixpack belly.
“So where are we going?” ask Eric.
“Paris van java, it’s a mall here.”
Then they walked to the lobby door and Eric took their car keys and drove the car straight after Sarah got into the car.
“M. about the other night. I’m sorry..”ujar Eric.
“I know we both were drunk. I told Hugo, too. We decided to improve our relationship even though the situation is very, very messy at the moment. But I hope you understand that.” replied Sarah while occasionally staring at Eric.
“Ohh..okay” said Eric briefly. He looks disappointed because Sarah still cares about Hugo. The jerk who obviously betrayed him.
“I hope to God someday you will choose me”batin Eric.
The streets of Bandung are quite jammed, so only about two hours more they arrived at the mall. The mall is very crowded, so finding parking is difficult.
After circling for about thirty minutes they finally found a parking lot. They then walked towards the entrance of the mall.
Eric begins to feel hungry, then asks Sarah to eat first before they both go shopping. Eric invited Sarah to eat at one of the Korean restaurants there. There are some visitors who look at them strange even some are dossier-piercing.
Eric understands the treatment of the locals here when there are women walking with foreign men, as it is strange. In fact, according to him it's a common thing bule also remain human not alien, right?
Their afternoon meal was very good. Eric and Sarah occasionally laughed with their light talk. Until suddenly there were some mothers maybe around the mid-thirties came to their table while blushing bashfully.
“Excuse me mba, sorry to interrupt. Can we take a photo with mba's girlfriend? Hehehe” said one of the five mothers while smiling shyly.
Eric was quite accustomed to having foreigners in Indonesia ask for photos with him because he was bule. Sometimes it is disturbing, especially when in tourist attractions. Eric only understands a few words like photos and girlfriends.
“Do they think I'm Sarah's boyfriend?” eric was smiling towards these mothers.
“Hahhahah. Here I help you photograph.” replied Sarah with a big laugh.
Eric just smiled and took pictures with the mothers. Well, very rarely anyone asks for photos in the mall usually in tourist attractions. Eric knows why Sarah seems to say that she is his girlfriend if not usually the person who asked for a photo will be acting pretentious, which is annoying.
After they finished eating, they went around the mall and bought some clothes and makeup for Sarah.
Eric is thrilled to be spending time with the girl even though the girl has not given up trying to mend her relationship with Hugo.
“I will be patient and waiting for you..” inner Eric with a smile looking at Sarah who is busy choosing a suitable foundation for him.
