Chapter 12: The New Struggle

I don't think we've been dating for more than a year. Sarah will soon enter college life with the same major as me. Economics majors, he hates that major, he said why he bothers to study science if it ends up in that major.

Well, her mom forced her, until she cried for a few days. The reason, Sarah had received a scholarship to enter the dream campus to become a doctor but she could not continue it because it was hindered by the blessing of parents, especially her mother. But I know her mum used to be rude and abuse her. she said her mom said mean stuff and sometimes do something that physically hurt her. So I can understand if she is not happy...

I did a few things to comfort him. I said I would come back later when he moved to Jakarta and started his studies. Not only to support her but I miss her too. Sarah said even though it was an economics campus but would not be as relaxed as other campuses, the curriculum would be different. There's a little bit of a fear that we don't have enough time to talk.

Sarah says the same thing, she says the campus is a campus curse, which means that many couples break up because they are too busy.

During the trip to Jakarta was very quiet, I sat next to a man my age who was probably a year or two younger. We chatted for a few minutes, but he was also going to visit his girlfriend. The man said his girlfriend was from Surabaya, the second largest city after Jakarta. Well, I'm interested in visiting the city with Sarah. This person has been running LDRs with their partner for 6 months, they met on dating apps. We also talked about traveling and some Indonesian food that we like. He said the round is delicious, looks good is colorful and said there is a ginger and can warm the throat. I remember Sarah saying a round, but I never tried it maybe I could when I got to Jakarta.

Arriving in Jakarta, I separated from the man and I took a taxi to my hotel. Actually Soekarno Hatta Airport is located in Tangerang not Jakarta, said Sarah, just like the campus in BSD City is also located in Tangerang. The journey from the airport is quite short, just an hour less.

Arriving at the hotel, I threw myself down, then took a shower. The plan is tonight we're going to dinner and I promise to massage her because I feel sorry for her, orientation for a month like what’s the point. I bought him some chocolate too.
