The Storm 21

After the wedding is over. Neilson, and Sheril soon set off for their honeymoon. As for Aleysia, she would return home together with her father. Somehow his feelings feel so worried, but to whom the feelings are directed, he himself does not know.

Upon arriving home, his phone rang incessantly, and it was Nathan who contacted him. Without thinking any longer, he immediately accepted the call, and they began to talk a lot.

"Tomorrow the night I will come to your house with my father, and my mother."

"B-tomorrow? U-for what?" Aleysia looked nervous when she heard her words.

"Don't I ever say that? I'll propose to you officially after Sheril's wedding? And I think, faster, better. Is that right, isn't it?"

"h-huh. Tomorrow I'll prepare everything to welcome you, and I'll tell you about this."

"Good girl." Nathan Mumbled. "After telling your father, get some rest!" Added again.

"I understand." Then the call ended. Having not yet cleaned her body, Aleysia immediately headed for the toilet to take a bath, and also changed clothes.

After everything was done, he decided to head to his father's room. He hoped that his father had not slept, so that he could say this good news. But is this worth it? His mind went back to chaos, because after all, his father must be exhausted, if he said so, is that really okay?

We wouldn't know if we didn't try.

Aleysia continued to wrestle with her mind, until she knocked on her father's bedroom door, and who would have thought that her father was still there. Seeing his daughter still not asleep, made William wonder, and he asked her to come in.

Confused as to where to start, Aleysia just stood up, and took a picture of the Geraldine family located right on the father's nightstand. In the photo, his mother is holding her very small self, and Sheril is standing in front of her father and mother, with her hand holding the top of her brother's head.

"In this photo, I look so fond of my sister. Father's affection for brother must be much greater than my father's affection for me." Suddenly, those words simply came out from Aleysia's lips.

"Aaahh I'm sorry dad. I really didn't mean to offend, and I never felt like I was being treated unfairly."

"Dad please don't say anything like that again. Know it? I'd feel like a failure, and also guilty if I had to get one of my daughters hurt." William seemed to be speechless saying all that, and Aleysia felt guilty for saying something she should not have said. "So, what's up? Why haven't you slept? Don't you feel tired?"

"There's something I want to say, dad." Hearing his daughter open her voice, William immediately sat on his sofa in his room. "Dad, tomorrow night Nathan will come along with his parents."

"Did he come to propose to you?" William immediately replied. However, her voice sounded so soft, and Aleysia was so shocked to see her father shed his tears.

"really. But why are you crying? Don't you like Nathan?"

"It's not like that. I don't mind if Nathan really has good intentions to marry you. It's just, I really did not expect if my daughter had grown up, and would have a life of her own. Sheril's going to be staying with her husband, and I heard that Nathan has also prepared a house for you. If so, will you be alone in this house?"

Hearing that made Aleysia's heart feel like it had a hit that was so big. It was true that Nathan had prepared a place to stay for her, and the man planned to invite her to live there together. However, after hearing the father's words, of course he will think twice about doing it.

"You better rest now! I'll have people prepare something to welcome the Halbert family." William rubbed the top of his daughter's head, and tried to smile at her.

Aleysia hesitated to move on from there. He was still staring at the father so bitterly, it was clear that his father was hiding something from him. Although heavy, she immediately came out of there, and at her father's request, Aleysia returned to her room to rest.

After making sure her daughter had returned to her room. William got up from his position, he walked towards the picture frame attached to the wall of his room. Both eyes looked at the photo so softly, well he was staring at the wedding photo of himself with the mother of Aleysia and Sheril.

"Erina, one of our daughters, got married this morning, she's already with the one she loves. Tomorrow, our youngest daughter might follow in her brother's footsteps. A prince will take her away, and I'm pretty sure that man will make our youngest daughter happy. Erina, are you happy there? Given that our two daughters are close to achieving happiness, shouldn't I catch up with you there?" His voice sounded more and more bitter
