My House of Resilience
Chapter 28. Abstinence Refer

Tanti felt that her ex-husband was planning something. However, he did not know what it was. While the keys and the land letter are secured first. Her parents did not know about her ex-husband's arrival.

In the afternoon everyone gathers in the living room while enjoying tea, coffee and fried banana snacks made by Sarinah. Hardiman and Tanti's two adopted children chat. Tanti joined her mother.

"How's your school?" ask Tanti.

"Okay, ma'am" replied Indra.

"If you are, Guh?" ask Hardiman.

"Just like Indra, Mbah" he answered.

"What's the same, Le? You're in a different class" said Hardiman.

"Well, Mbah Kayak doesn't know us. Although the class is different, just seiya sekata," said Teguh.

They laugh. Sarinah coded Tanti to go in and take the crackers she bought from the market earlier this afternoon.

"Sir, get the crackers! If you are not lazy, then make it sambelnya," Sarinah ordered.

"Yes, ma'am" replied Tanti then moved from her seat.

"Today will spoil you" said Sarinah.

"Well, eat big huh, Mbah?" ask Firmly.

"No. It's just a normal conversation. Have we not gathered like this for a long time? Your mother was busy with her problems, too. Now it's all over. Please, you two never leave your mother" Sarinah explained.

Although Indra and Teguh were only adopted children taken when they were adults, they never made life difficult.

"Yes, Mbah. My mother fought for us. We both promised, when it was successful later, we will never leave mother" Indra said.

I have to be thankful a lot. When she became a widow like this, both of her adopted children persisted.

"Hemm, are you talking about Mom?" ask Tanti while putting the jar of crackers along with the sauce.

Crackers upil and sambal ketela rumbat. Sambal typical rural once. Sambal is suitable combined with such sand fried crackers.

"Mother, why did you make this sambal this time? It's really delicious, you know" Indra said as she scooped the sauce and then placed it on the crackers. He also took one other cracker to be chocolate into the chili that was in his first cracker.

Rachete!

A blend of crackers with a bite that makes anyone want to eat them. Sambal ketella is spicy sweet, and savory crackers are fused in her mouth. It tastes delicious.

Not only his son, his parents also enjoyed a snack this afternoon. After some of them stop their activities, then drink tea that has begun to cool, then Tanti shows her serious face.

"Mom, sir, Mas Ari was here."

Gluey!

Sarinah put down her glass. Hardiman also put on a very serious face. His two children listened to what his mother would say.

"Why else would he be here? Want to show off again if his wife is pregnant? Or, showing off her sir's wedding that's about to be legalized?" cerocos Sarinah's.

"Mom, listen to Tanti's explanation. Mother is like a fidelity if you hear her name" said Hardiman.

"Mother, listen to Tanti first" said Tanti.

"Hemm, say! But please don't mention his name. My sultry mother," replied Sarinah.

"So he came here to deliver the keys to the house following his D-pad, ma'am. Do you think you and I can go back to that house?"

The house that made Tanti like she was in hell. The house that originally offered the sparkle of happiness, but it turned out to provide endless sorrow. Does he want to go back there and remember his old sorrows?

"Father didn't force you, Nduk. But, think again about your current position." Hardiman.

As a widow with two adopted children, it is not easy. Even if they return to that house, what business will they open? Tanti doesn't have much experience. He can only cook.

"Well, this time I agree. You guys stay in this house only. I won't make things difficult for you either" Sarinah replied.

Actually Indra and Teguh comfortable living in his old house. Especially there they can be free to help their mother. Once upon a time when his mother sold fried noodles, they worked hard to help him.

"If you guys how?" ask her two children.

"We actually live there, Mom. Not that we do not feel at home Mbah," replied Indra.

Sarinah and Hardiman could not resist her daughter's decision. Moreover, he has more responsibility on his two children.

"That's it. How about you guys move in there after your mom has a definite business? I honestly don't have the heart that your life will return to what it used to be, Nduk. It's not that I pray for the bad, I'm just worried" Sarinah explained.

"That's why think again, Mom. Indra, Teguh, can you help me bring that glass inside? Do not forget to bring tea with a new glass. There's still hot tea that I put in the teapot. You guys take it, dad!" tanti.

"Good, Mom. Want to get it, especially?" ask Firmly.

Indra had already cleared up what her mother had ordered. While waiting for his answer, he ate a fried banana.

"Make coffee for Mbah" said Hardiman.

"Sir, Teguh and Indra where can it be?" tanti protest. Though he only wanted to convey about the envelope Ari gave him that he refused this afternoon.

"Indra can do it. Don'worry. Just coffee, right? Indra boil hot water first. Just pour coffee and sugar into a glass, right, Mom?" ask Indra to Tanti.

"Yes, Le. Well then, be careful with the stove, well," Tanti said.

Indra nodded. After the two children left, Tanti just started her conversation.

"Mom, this afternoon was actually not only given the key and the land letter, but also an envelope of money. But, Tanti refused. Tanti doesn't know, what does she mean she gave all that to Tanti?"

"He must have felt guilty for abandoning you all this time, son," Hardiman said.

"Mom don't think so, sir! He must be sorry to have let go of Tanti for the sake of his young wife" Sarinah said.

"I mean Mom, Ari would like to plan on referring to that?" ask Hardiman.

"It could be, sir. But, I don't want ya, Nduk. Don't let you guys turn it back again. Mom's been getting along with her attitude all this time. Because he's such an irresponsible man, it's made you a widow like this."

Sarinah has put up an anti look if until the useless man version of her back to her daughter. Already throw spit, the cook should be licked again. Sarinah is no longer willing to accept a daughter-in-law like her. Even if the sky collapses, Sarinah will not give her blessing.
