On the other hand Tegar and Aisyah who for the first time had to go scavenging without the presence of the grandmother, seemed to be trying to find junk along the road they passed.
Carrying a small sack they went hand in hand through each corner of the place in order to fill the sack they carried with a pile of junk they found in the place.
When Tegar was busy looking for junk suddenly Aisyah walked towards a small stall on the side of the road that was not far from where they scavenged.
He then sat down and kept silent while holding his stomach right in front of the stall that used to sell snacks and cigarettes which at that time seemed to be being visited by several buyers. Seeing the brother acting like that, Tegar approached him and asked, saying,
“Why are you sitting here deck?” ask the brother.
Aisyah who was apparently starving was just pouting and reluctant to answer questions from her brother.
“Why you?” asked the older brother a second time while looking at the stomach of the younger brother he was holding.
“I am hungry kak.” replied Aisyah while holding her stomach which began to make a loud rumbling sound.
“Not that you ate earlier. Brother also heard himself earlier when grandma asked you if you were full? you said already.”.
“Actually Aisyah is not full kak.” replied Aisyah nanar while still holding her stomach.
“Why did you say you were full?” ask the angry brother.
“Aisyah does not like the taste of rice, so Aisyah does not want to eat. Therefore Aisyah said she was full when not.” she explained while looking her eyes began to glaze over.
“Sister also does not like but sister still eat.” as it turns out.
“How do dong kak, Aisyah hungry....huuuuuuuuuuuuuu.” exclaimed Aisyah started crying.
“Ya it's your own fault. Brother does not want to know.” said the brother furious.
“Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu,,Aisyah hungry kak.” moans Aisyah hungry.
“Bodo.” said the brother did not want to care.
It seems that Aisyah was annoyed by the attitude of the sister who did not care about her who was starving so that she hit the body of the brother a bit hard.
“Ouhhhh,,,huuuuhuuuuuuu.” his screams while hitting the older brother.
Getting rough treatment from the angry sister, Tegar was seen letting it go and not reciprocating. He let Aisha beat him because she knew that his sister did not mean to hurt him.
Unwittingly the incident turned out to be noticed by one of the buyers at the stall who happened to be buying cigarettes and a pack of bread sold in the stall.
Feeling sorry to see a little girl crying while banging her sister, she asked, saying,
“Why are you decking, ko crying?” ask a 24-year-old man named Rizal.
“Huuuuuhuuuuuuuu...hhhhhhhhh.” Aisyah's cries become more and more.
“Where are your parents?” ask Rizal.
“No.” reply Hardcore.
“Huuuu...huuuuuu.....kak Aisyah is hungry.” Aisyah said while continuing to sob.
“Dek, why cry?” rizal asked Aisha.
“Adek want bread no, nih om love bread but only one. Divided two yaks with her brother.” Said Rizal while passing a packet of bread to Aisyah.
“Thimaaa huuuhhuuhuuhh love,,huuu.” said Aisyah while taking the bread and seemed to start stopping her crying.
The man then left Tegar and Aisyah at that place. After that Tegar and Aisyah resumed their journey to collect the junkyards.
Aisyah who was crying because she was hungry is now calmer because she ate a packet of bread given by someone named Rizal earlier. But apparently the brother secretly also wanted the bread. He also said,
“Dek,,, share dong sister bread little.” pinta the sister.
“Gak..om it will give his bread to Aisyah.” replied Aisyah refused to share with her brother.
“Iya, but it was said that the bread was made divided into two.” he said trying to persuade the sister.
“Kakak, Aisyah is hungry.” timpal Aisyah whining.
“Kakak is also hungry Aisyah.” Answer the brother.
“Kak wasn't there that much lunch while Aisyah enggak.” Legally.
“Yes, but now brother is hungry again.”.
“Ya already I love her half-bread sister.” said Aisyah who finally wanted to share with her brother.
So he gave half the bread to the brother and the brother said”
“Asyik, thanks Dek.” said Tegar thank you.
“Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.” Aisyah smiled cheerfully again.
It doesn't feel like the day is starting late. After touring several places, Tegar and Aisyah decided to end the routine of starting that day. They rushed back to the hut.
Upon arrival in the hut as usual first they will put the results scavenged in the back shed of the hut then after that they also go into the hut while saying greetings that have become their daily habitthe day when he was about to enter and leave the hut to the grandmother who was in the hut,
“Assalamualaikum, our grandmother came home.” shouted Rigid and Aisyah compact.
“Waalaikum salam.” replied the grandmother from the direction of her room.
“Nek,,granny where?” ask Aisyah.
“Grandma is in bed nak.” Answer in a weak voice.
“Nek why it's dark here. The lights are off, huh nek?” ask the grandmother.
“Iya want the lights off, may be in a rolling blackout.” said the grandmother tried to hide the truth about the termination of electric current by PLN.
“So bright grandma has prepared oil lamps in the kitchen. Hardcore please get the oil lamp yes son and bring it here.” orders the grandmother.
“Good nek.” Answer the rigid who immediately rushed towards the kitchen to pick up the oil lamp that the grandmother meant.
“There is only one yak nek. The one near the place of rice aja.” asked Tegar to make sure after he was in the kitchen area.
“There are two ko, the other one grandma put near the fireplace.” replied the grandmother.
“Iya nek just met.” sahut Tegar.
“Bring both of them here yes son. Don't forget to also bring the matches.” the grandmother's order.
“Good nek.” tungkas Tegar.
Tegar then came to the grandmother's room with two oil lamps and turned them on together with the sister. After the two oil lamps were turned on, the small hut that was in pitch dark condition finally returned to light even though it seemed sober.
Before going to bed, they do not forget to first do PR. Amidst the dim light of the oil lamp, Tegar and Aisyah tried to work on their respective PR with great enthusiasm. After finishing PR work, Tegar then brought one of the oil lamps to be placed in his room while the other oil lamp was left to remain in the room, the one that my grandmother and sister used to sleep.
Day after day they went through with struggles and tears. Aisyah who initially did not like to eat with aking rice now she looks greedy eating the rice without complaining anymore.
Meanwhile, the grandmother who was supposed to rest even still forced herself to join the work of harvesting rice in the rice fields owned by Rosidah maam. Every day after Tegar and Aisyah left for school, Aminah's grandmother immediately rushed to the rice fields to work harvesting rice owned by her neighbor which began at 06.00 wib until 12.00 wib. He volunteered to work as a rice harvest worker to still be able to earn extra income.
Because if you become a rice harvest worker, he does not need to walk far down the corners of the village whereas if scavenging he must walk far and must be strong to carry the waste he has collected when scavenging to be taken home to his hut.
While his health condition did not improve even though he always routinely took drugs given by Sumber Sari Puskesmas Doctor. However, the results of working as a rice harvest worker in the form of a division of ¼ from the harvest that the rice harvest workers get can only be shared after the harvest is finished.
One day when the rice harvest workers consisting of 4 people: Bu Jamilah, Bu Euis, Bu Lilis and the grandmother of Aminah itself, were taking a break from the harvesting activities.
One of them named Bu Lilis saw the grandmother of Aminah who took advantage of her rest time just to take shelter and drink water without eating as well as herself and other rice workers who every day always brought food supplies to the place, so he then took the initiative to reprimand the grandmother of Aminah and invite her to eat together.
“Nek here...rest him here with me.”ajak Bu Lilis while waving his hands to grandmother Aminah.
Then Aminah's grandmother walked to Bu Lilis who was sheltering under a simple saung with straw roofed at the location.
“Granny bring no food?” ask Bu Lilis.
“No nak.” answer
“Ya already then coincidentally today I brought more food supplies, so let's eat together here.
Please eat nek.” said Bu Lilis offer and let grandmother Aminah eat.
“Thank you son.” replied grandma Aminah.
Then Bu Lilis initiated a conversation with Aminah's grandmother first,
“How many sacks of rice have you collected from the first day to today?” asked Bu Lilis to Aminah's grandmother.
“Heheheh.new granny can little nak. Understand the power of the grandmother is weak.” replied Aminah's grandmother while chuckling seemed reluctant to tell how many sacks of rice crops he had obtained.
“If nak Lilis herself has collected how many sacks?.” Grandma Aminah asked back.
“New 3 sacks nek.” reply.
“Enak yak if still young like this son Lilis, the power is still strong so it can quickly get a lot of harvest.” said the grandmother amazed.
“Iya nek, mumpung still strong heeeeee.” replied Bu Lilis while laughing.
Then he again offered his grandmother Aminah to take again the food he brought in the form of lemper and fried bananas,
“Ayo nek please eat again do not hesitate.” tell Bu Lilis.
“Thank you.” the answer is short.
Then Miss Lilis started asking again,
“How are Grandma's grandchildren, Aisyah and Tegar. What class are they in now?” tanyakanya.
“Aisyah already class 3 SD, if Tegar already class 6 SD.” replied grandmother Aminah.
“Wah already want to pass dong nek Tegar school.” he said.
“Iya yes.grandmother just realized. Haduh is old do like senile heeeeee.” said grandmother Aminah again chuckled.
“By the way how are the children of the grandmother of Nur. Have you found Nek?” tanyanya.
“Not yet son, I don't know whether grandma has resigned to the fate of Nurhayati now.” said grandmother Aminah looks resigned.
“Yang stoic ya nek definitely behind this all later there will be a silver lining for grandma and family.”.
“Iya nak dikerakasih.” said grandmother Aminah.
After enough rest they then resume harvesting activities that day. Not felt now the grandmother of Aminah and other rice harvest workers friends have been about 5 days working as rice harvest workers in the rice fields owned by Bu Rosidah.
If there is no transverse aral, the rice harvest will be completed in 2 days. That means they will soon get the results of their hard work during their time as rice harvest workers.
Meanwhile, the results of scavenging were collected by Tegar and Aisyah as long as the grandmother of Aminah did not join them which had lasted for 6 days, after being weighed collected a total of 40 kilograms with a selling price per kilogram of Rp. 2,000. After being sold to the collectors it turned out to only make money of Rp. 80,000 only. It had also run out to buy a simple side dish everyday.
