It sounded faint as the judge read out the verdict to me. The sound of the rain and the rumbling of the wind, plus my nervous feeling and heart pounding, made it look less so clear I heard. I, who sat in the defendant's seat, asked the judge to recite my verdict.
"declaring the defendant uya saputra aka uya bin arifin alm has been proven legally and convincingly guilty of a criminal offence (without right or against the law of possession, having, or possessing, a, buying or receiving drug type 1 ). Penalty therefore to the defendant uya saputra aka uya bin arifin alm with a prison sentence of 5 (five ) years and a fine of Rp 1,000,000,000, (one billion rupiah ) with the provision if the fine is not paid, then it is replaced with a prison sentence of 3 (three) months. Establish the period of arrest and detention that has been undertaken by the defendant uya saputra aka uya bin arifin alm deducted entirely from the criminal dropped. Ordered the accused to remain in custody."
Instantly there was the sound of a sobbing cry from behind me. I'm turning. Seeing Dari, Mama, and my family wiping away their tears heard the judge's verdict. It felt like the blood in my body stopped flowing when I heard the judge recite the verdict that was dropped on me. My heart felt like it stopped beating. My mind went where - where makes me cuddle - firefly when standing leaving the courtroom.
Two officers greeted me at the exit. Pairing the handcuffs on my wrists and taking me to the detention room. Mama, Dance, and my family rushed after me slowly stepping foot away from the courtroom.
"Mahs.. Uya is really sorry.. Uya..." I said with my eyes still unable to continue my speech.
Dance just looked at me and held tightly to my hand full of the novelty of her caring form.
