Husband Does Not Know Himself

Husband Does Not Know Himself
125. At the funeral

That afternoon after lunch, Mala invited Mahes to make a grave pilgrimage. He had not visited the graves of his parents for a long time.

Mahes accepted his wife's request. Because he himself also felt confused with his parents.

After spending about thirty minutes, the two finally arrived at the intended burial place.

Sepi, silent, and scented Cambodian flower scent, a hallmark of a public burial place.

The two got out of the car and walked to the final resting place of their parents.

Mahes shrugged his wife's shoulders. Because he knew, the woman was very sensitive. He could not hide the wounds in his heart alone.

Mala immediately dropped her body, as soon as she arrived in front of her mother's navel. He kissed his mother's tombstone.

"Darling, remember! At the funeral we cannot cry. Pray for those who are underground. To keep his spirit quiet and placed in a roomy place." Mahes reminded Mala.

His wife nodded, then raised her head. He removed the tears that were slightly seeping through his smooth cheeks. After that, he raised his hand and offered a prayer for his mother.

Mahes did the same. He prayed for his mother-in-law. Although he had never seen her in person, and only saw her face from family photos at the Mala house.

Mama is a very good mother to Mala. Not only became a mother, she also became a friend for Mala to complain and spill all her feelings. There are no Mala friends in this world who are fun to be used as a place to confide, other than their own mother.

"Ma, pa. Mala just wanted to pray for mom and dad. Mala also wanted to tell a story. Now Mala is happy, has a kind husband. Mala will soon give birth. Mom and Dad must have seen it from heaven, right? If Mala's stomach is this big." Mala said, rubbing her stomach and smiling.

Mahes was shocked to see what his wife was doing. He tried to smile while rubbing his wife's distended stomach.

After praying for her mother, the two faced to the right, and prayed for her father Mala. The figure of the man who gave his first love to Mala.

Two people who have been great in Mala's life, have long abandoned him. It was so heartbroken to remember that moment.

Added to that with her marriage that was corn-time, because of the betrayal committed by her ex-husband.

Luckily, Mahes came at the right time. That helped heal the wounds in Mala's heart, and made her life spirit rise again.

After praying for the parents of Mala, both of them stood up and squatted in the middle of the navel of the two Mahes. It is located next to the tombs of the two parents of Mala.

The tombs there look ordinary. Just a mound of earth, upon which was placed a tombstone. No one was given flowers or water. Like the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad.

But at the cemetery, planted a lot of Cambodian flower trees. Even at his funeral was also deliberately planted grass teki.

Muslims believe that everything that lives on this earth always thinks of Allah. Including grass and trees. And that dhikr can intercede for self and the beings around it.

As Mahes did, Mala also prayed for her late parents-in-law. Although he had never met them before, he believed that his two in-laws were good people. The proof could be educating her husband, being a responsible man.

After being content to spend time with their deceased parents, the two got up, then walked slowly away from the public cemetery.

Elsewhere, somewhere else,

"Assalamu'alaikum's chat. Mom, Miss Mirna?" someone knocked on the door of Miss Mirna's rented house. But repeatedly he screamed, still no answer.

Ms. Mirna deliberately ignored the call, as her condition was in a weakened state. He had no energy to answer.

He thought he would soon meet his end, for several days he lay weakly in the corner of his room. Without eating and drinking only a drop.

But apparently, he still heard the voice of someone who called his name repeatedly. He hates his current situation. Which is like living a life of unwilling death.

Outside his rented house, neighbor Bu Mirna was still standing at the door. He also still called while moving the doorknob, but still there was no reply. He frowned, when the door was unlocked.

He said hello and slowly entered the house. His intention was to give food. Because at home he held an aqiqah.

His neighbor could not bear to put his food outside. Worried that the food will be eaten by cats. Given the contents there must be goat meat.

The feeling began to feel bad, the cold in the house began to awaken the feathers. Especially if you remember the unnatural death of Doni.

He turned his body and was about to come out. But hearing a coughing sound from inside the room, he suddenly jumped in shock, and ran out of the house in droves.
