Meet the Ex-Friend

I pushed Mr. Al's wheelchair with excited feelings. This self wants to get home and practice what Doctor Boby said earlier if I have to give a massage on both feet Mr. Al. I can't wait to do it.

Oh yes, every morning we have a way out, providing therapy on both soles of Mr. Al's feet. There are so many things I want to do with this guy.

Remembering what Mr. Al did after the first therapy session just finished making my cheeks burn. I was like standing in front of the embers of fire that made my face and my entire body heat up. The difference is, my heart feels warm with a shy smile on my lips.

"Later home make me rawon huh. I want to eat rawon."

Mr. Al's words stopped this plan in my head.

"Master doesn't want to try another menu maybe?" I offered him another menu, if only he was bored with that food.

"no need. Enjoying rawon like I was mingling with my mom."

Again, Mr. Al's words have bewitched me. I stopped the constant steps Mr. Al also stopped.

"I'll make it, sir. Sorry if my question was so rude and impolite. Forgive me," I said sincerely.

I'm sober. What I said should not have been said. I should have followed what Mr. Al ordered. That alone is enough, not to offer this and that or even protest with what it does. What matters is that Mr. Al wants to change for the better.

That guy's been pretty sweet lately. He never went berserk and threw anything. Mr. Al also wanted to get out of the house, eat in the dining room and more. That's a sign he's healing, isn't it?

I'd rather get rid of negative thoughts and ruin my mood. At a time like this I should be fully supportive of the man I love. I should make him happy and comfortable with me.

"You daydreaming?"

"Oh no, Sir. I was just thinking," I said politely.

"Try to explain to me what's the difference between daydreaming and thinking that you're doing?" Mr. Al asked as he pressed the automatic button for his wheelchair to run.

"Oh that .. I'm just thinking how do we start therapy at home, sir." I took a quick step after Mr. Al who was already a few meters ahead.

I immediately grabbed the wheelchair and pushed it back.

"Don't think too deeply. Let's just go, anyway, I'm not in a hurry either." Mr. Al replied in a relaxed voice.

I nodded even though Mr. Al could not see a nod of my head. However, I believe with my silence this can be interpreted as a form of agreement for him. Yes, I do agree if you live it casually and do not need to rush.

Arriving at the lobby, my movements stopped because I saw someone I knew very well. He was the man I cut off contact with, but he insisted on refusing. The shameless Riko man was here with a woman dressed quite openly. They looked friendly with both hands tightly joined together.

Riko did not see my whereabouts until we were only a few steps away. He returned the sharp look I gave him, and only then did his footsteps stop in place.

I can catch the look of confusion from the woman beside the man. However, it seems that Riko remained focused on returning my gaze then her eyes turned to look at Mr. Al who was sitting quietly in his wheelchair.

"You're here?"

Oh. I was upset because we asked each other at the same time. It seems that I am also curious about what Riko did in this hospital.

"Yes. I'm right here. What are you doing here?" I answered quickly and did not care about the question that the man had not answered.

"I'm looking at someone" Riko replied as she removed her hand from the hand of the woman beside her. However, the woman actually tightened the grip of their hand. The woman's face looked cynical towards me.

"Yes already then. Please proceed. I'll go home," I reply later.

I was preparing to push Mr. Al's wheelchair when the voice came back.

"Who are you?" ask Riko curiously. His eyes looked down at Mr. Al.

I can see the movement up and down Riko's eyes scan Mr. Al's appearance.

"Oh. I'm with someone. We've seen the doctor. Good day, Riko." I replied nonchalantly then continued on without intending to look back at the pair of lovers. Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're lovers.

After we sat side by side in the passenger seat, Mr. Al said something I never thought I would.

"So you don't intend to introduce me to that man." Mr. Al's voice sounded cynical with an annoyed expression.

"They're not important people, sir. I'll introduce you to the person I think is important."

Mr. Al looked over with narrowed eyes. It was as if he was asking who was someone I thought was important to.

"I don't have anyone in the world anymore. I have a friend who means a lot to my life. And, my best friend already knows about you, sir," I explained later which made him smile thinly.

I'm so relieved to see the response Mr. Al gave to my explanation.

"Who's your best friend's name?" ask her with a folded forehead.

"Amandaic. Name's Amanda. He's my best friend since college too, and he's married." I nodded and smiled at Amanda's face, which would have been hysterical because I had introduced her to Mr. Al.

"One day I would like to meet your friend Amanda" Mr. Al said, staring straight ahead.

"Of course, Sir. Sure do. I'll introduce you to Mr. and Amanda. He must be so happy to meet you." I smiled broadly. It felt so happy to get a positive response from the man beside me. Normally, Mr. Al would have a flat expression. However, at the end of this he was willing to show another expression.

The car is traveling at medium speed. Until finally, we got home. Mr. Al went straight to his room. He did not want me to deliver because he wanted to directly make rawon, his favorite food.

I rushed to the kitchen too. Look at the materials needed. Bik Sri came to offer help that I immediately refused.

I'm so excited today to make Mr. Al his favorite meal.
