The atmosphere of the canteen still looks as usual. Lots and queues. Riko asked me to sit on a long bench with a long table in front of her. Only that part has an empty place for us.
“Hai, Riko! Same girlfriend huh?” ask someone I think is the guy's friend.
Riko chuckles peln. “Beauty not my girlfriend?” he then turned to look at me, blinking one of his eyes.
Fucking crocodiles.
“Where are you from, beautiful girl so?” the other seductive.
I started to feel uncomfortable hearing that conversation. However, it could not wart when it felt Riko's hand pulling on my wrist. I sit down to join them. If it rebelled, it would certainly embarrass myself. Didn't we?
I chose to order chicken. I haven't eaten that favorite food for a long time. The chicken noodles here are delicious according to my tongue. If I don't eat for a few days, I can miss it.
Riko lined up to get our order. Because if not so, it will take a long time for us to eat and may not be part of it. The man ordered meatballs.
“Lo is actually Riko's girlfriend, yes?” A man sitting right across from me asked. He frowned faintly. Staring at me fixedly, as if confirming something.
So, what is that guy making sure of?
Suddenly my curiosity came to the surface. My heart beats twice as fast. I wanted to ask more, but I hesitated to ask. As a result, all I did was nod me. My lips move say the word, “Ya.” Briefly though.
The man sipped his drink. His eyes were still fixed on me, but there was such a doubt there.
Ah, I remember. Maybe he knows something. But, yeah, that's it. I don't want to talk about Riko's girlfriend out there. Bodo.
I felt relieved when I saw Riko walking to our table. At least, there are no strange questions that will be asked to me directly. It feels uncomfortable if someone asks about our status. He carries a tray in his hand. There are two bowls and two drinks. Iced my orange, the man ordered iced tea.
Riko put the tray on the table, then lowered the bowl and glass from there. Then, he left the tray to someone who happened to pass behind him. Ask the man to return the tray to its origin. I felt astonished because the man had complied with what Riko had said.
I was about to enjoy the chicken noodles in that bowl when Riko whispered something. He really is a man who doesn't know to be lucky.
“Let's payin mine too huh. I don't bring money.”
Many times, I can't believe that a guy like Riko has a girlfriend other than myself. Gawk. Looks like he is quite cool, but with the contents of his wallet that is always empty jumping so, how does he invite girls to date? Oh, her other boyfriend must be like me too. He wants to be fooled by the same crocodile man as a lizard like him.
I did not respond to that whisper. It is better to immediately spend the chicken noodles in the bowl to get out of here. I guess, if I invite myself to chat in the cafeteria, this is just his wits to eat for free. As usual. And as usual I think of a kebo-like being plucked in his nose.
The contents of my bowl are empty. The spicy taste on the tongue has not disappeared after sipping orange ice in a glass until it is not venomous. I ordered another glass of orange ice. Heh. My stomach feels full now. I'm satiety. And when I started to move about to leave the chair, Riko's hand was so deftly holding my arm.
“Where to?” ask her with a heavy voice and a sharp look.
“You have not forgotten our agreement, ‘kan?” Riko brought the face closer. His breath felt on my face. The smell of meatballs just out of the country. It makes me feel uncomfortable with the smell of his mouth. I don't really like that food.
“If you want to fight do not in a crowded place like this, dong.” That was the voice of the man who asked me. Next to the man his friend giggled amusedly. What's so funny try? “If you want to fight, in a quiet place,” he continued again.
“Liar hot,” timpal others then greeted with laughter by them.
Riko and her friends are no different. They must be equally annoying and not worth being a girlfriend. I snorted annoyed. Then put a piece of red paper money on the table. Until there was a loud sound there.
“Nih,” I said ketus. “And make sure you don't have to bother me anymore. We broke up a long time ago. Ngerti.” After saying that, I immediately got out of that chair. Brushed off Riko's hand that was still trying to block my arm. Holding me gone. Without turning around again and ignoring Riko's call, I quickly walked away from the canteen.
Today is a shitty day. Why should I meet Riko, anyway? My mood was broken instantly. Plans to work on the delayed thesis must be delayed because it is now impossible to do. I stepped out of the campus area.
“Hai, Ayna!”
I looked lazy when I heard someone calling my name. My back was still bowing then my body turned around, looking at who was standing there.
My mood suddenly felt good when I found Amanda who was following me.
“When to here?” aska I want to know. The reason is, my best friend should come from the front of me, not even from the back right?
“Already from earlier, anyway. You're in the porous, uh, non-existent,” Amanda replied sounding complaining.
I grimaced unwell. Sure oes. When I said goodbye to him this morning, I confidently said that I would look for references to my research materials in the library. Uh, didn't even stray into the cafeteria.
“Eat yuk! I miss eating chicken noodles in the cafeteria.”
Amanda patted my shoulder slowly. He was looking at me with a hopeful twinkle. Wanting to refuse and tell the truth if I had eaten chicken noodles there, but it was impossible. Amanda's gonna go berserk if she finds out I ate with Riko. Mana used the guy's payin show again. It's me, if this woman finds out.
Finally, I could only give up when Amanda's hand held my arm. With an excited expression the woman stepped wide, taking me back to the cafeteria.
“Nyariin Riko ya.”
That guy again. Huh. Why do we have to cross this way?
I glanced towards Amanda who looked winceingly in wonder. Then pretended not to see the man, also pretended not to see the expression Amanda gave.
“Tuh, right there. Same girl as him.” I followed the direction the finger was pointing. Sure enough, there Riko was sitting alone with a woman. They sat facing each other, eating a bowl together. “You did, left him earlier. So look for new scuffles again, deh.”
I'm glaring. And immediately grimaced heartlessly when he saw Amanda's gaze glaring at me.
Die me.
