Chapter 2: The Academy

After Yukina entered her 17th year, the five of us headed straight to where the academy was.

The academy is located in the center of the capital, Chronoa. Where, this academy place is filled with many powerful witches and people who have evolved into a hero.

Me, Yukina, Leon, Baron and Alexa went to that place.

After going through a long journey to the academy using our feet, we finally arrived in front of the Iroas academy.

"Wow, this is huge! This building is so magnificent!" Alexa was amazed by the grandeur of the Iroas academy building.

Suddenly came two people who wore uniforms like a guard.

"Why are you just standing in front of this academy? Do you have any business here? If not, then leave immediately!" the gatekeeper of Iroas academy expelled us.

'uh? What's with this om-om? They came and immediately scolded us!' Alexa muttered in her heart.

"Sorry! But, the five of us came here to apply to be part of this Iroas academy disciple!" I explained to the two gatekeepers, that we want to apply to this academy.

Suddenly the two guards were silent for a moment.

"Hahaha, so you guys came here to enroll in this academy huh? All right, come inside. Good luck, boys!" the gatekeeper allowed entry.

"Thank you very much!"

After they opened the gates of the academy, then the five of us immediately walked towards the building where to apply to become students in this academy.

"So, the first time we talked to him, the guard was really creepy. But then they suddenly laughed at us! What a weird om - om!" Alexa kept muttering.

"Oi, Alexa! Can't you stop complaining about everything? My ears are tired of listening to the complaints that come out of your mouth. Where's your complaint, it's about a vague complaint," Baron complained about Alexa's rant.

"What's? I'm not complaining! Maybe your ears are affected, Baron!" Alexa felt that she was not overreaching in complaining.

"No, we've always heard you complain too, Alexa!" me, Yukina, and Leon always hear complaints from Alexa as well.

"Here are the friends!!" Alexa was a little embarrassed.

Me and my other friends immediately laughed at the embarrassed Alexa.

After the five of us finished talking on the way to the registration building, we finally arrived at the place.

Seeing us arriving at that place, one of the staff there immediately asked, "Is there anything we can help?"

I replied to represent the five of us, "The five of us want to enroll in this Iroas academy!"

"Well, then can you name and also where you live?" the staff asked us about our name and place of residence.

Then we answered one by one.

"Bryan Chevalier."

"Yukina Glace."

"Leon Shirogane."

"Baron Lumiere."

"Alexa Fleur."

Then, we mentioned our residence simultaneously, "We are from Xirasia village!"

After we said about the name and place of residence, the staff immediately entered the information in a tool.

Then the staff told us to go to the place to do a test.

In Iroas academy there are 6 grade levels, based on his strength.

The highest classes are at the S-level, below which are class-A, class-B, class-C, class-D, and class-E.

For classes-A and B, it is further divided into categories A-advantages, A-normal, B-advantages, and B-normal.

Class-D and E-class only contain people living outside the capital Chronoa. As strong as that person is, at the beginning of registration then that person will be in the D-class.

"Next person, please enter the test arena!"

After waiting for a while, it was finally our turn to do the test.

In the test arena there is a 'Magic Gauge' or referred to as a magic measuring device.

We were told to attack the tool using the skills we had. However, it does not issue numbers or colors to measure our tests. Our tests are assessed directly by an examiner and his companion here.

"Well, I'll go ahead first!"

I advanced as first.

I enveloped my sword which was still gloved using my bluish-black flames.

Then, I slashed towards the magic measuring device, resulting in a huge explosion. However, the arena was protected by a very powerful protective system, so it made the arena safe.

"W-wow.." the examiner and his companion were surprised.

"Yes, as usual. He's amazing!" said Baron.

"In that case, I will advance now!"

Yukina came forward to do the test.

Yukina took out a large chunk of ice using her magic. He directly aimed the attack at the magic measuring device.

The attack he launched made the entire area there become ice.

"As usual, our ice princess is so cold!" said Alexa.

"What'sthis? They're both amazing!" murmured in the heart of the tester.

"Then it's my turn!" Leon wants to move forward.

Yet....

"Huh? I'll go ahead after this, Leon!" The baron also wanted to advance.

"Who will allow you to advance, Baron? Now it's my turn!" Alexa doesn't want to lose either.

Debate also occurs.....

The three of them debated to determine who would advance now.

"Then, how do we decide by competing?" advice from Baron.

"Yes, I agree!" Alexa and Leon agree.

The three of them immediately released the mana on their bodies.

The examiner who felt that was shocked.

"Stop!"

The examiner stopped the three of them before starting the match.

"That's enough! I have sensed the magic of your bodies. That's enough to measure you three."

"Huh? But I haven't attacked that magic gauge!" The baron was dissatisfied.

"Magic measuring tools are just one of the procedures to put students on which class. However, I can judge for myself the abilities of all the disciples. And you'll all be placed in D-class!"

"HWAAAA.....We all passed this exam and entered the same class!"

Alexa shouted happily as the five of us made it into this academy.

"Then, go back and tell the staff that you escaped and get into D-class!"

The examiner told the five of us to go back to the staff, and say what the examiner told us.

The five of us immediately left the exam site, and walked towards the staff.

"The five of them are my hope! Although they come from small villages, they have strong potential. It's possible that they could change the way people in the capital look at people in the countryside, right?" said the tester.

"That's right, Mr. Rexon! The five of them were different from the students who had come from the countryside all along. It was possible that the five of them could surpass those people!" answer the companion.

We also reached the staff.

"Oh, you've returned. How did the five of you get?" ask the staff.

I said, "Hihihi....The five of us escaped and entered D-class!"

"Looky! Then, put your palms on the right side of this device!"

The staff told us to put our palms on the tools in front of us.

Then, a sign appeared like a symbol named our name.

"That is your identity, which names your name after the academy. To know that you are allies."

We were all happy and grateful to the staff, then went to class-D.
