The Amazing Joni's

The Amazing Joni's
CHAPTER 6: SIX

The atmosphere of the desert was getting hotter, the sun was at the top, overhead. The artificial sun is the same as the original. Only the desert wind that occasionally cools the atmosphere, even then can not be called cold for the wind category. Taking shelter under a palm tree will not give you any cool feeling.

“Come, Sem. How will we defeat dozens of lions if things are like this. I don't have a gun, Joni doesn't know how to use her best fist.” Deni grumbling.

“Good, good. I'll show you.” Sem raised his hand, resisting Deni's growing urgency. The weather was actually very hot, but Deni and I did not feel the sun, it was because of the technology on our armor.

For the sake of seeing the unique thing that Sem would do, we both stared unblinkingly.

“You guys watch this bow.” Sem showed her silver bow, concentration. The bow slowly disappeared, like a lion that was hit by an arrow a moment ago.

“How did you do it? Then what does it have to do with eliminating crossbows with our abilities?” Deni is still hot.

Sem laughed again. “Don't you think about what I mean, Den? I was able to hide my weapon, I didn't have to bother carrying it around. Look!” Sem raised his hand again, a second later the silver bow had returned, appearing slowly. “You actually brought that sword, Den. It's just, you didn't bring it up like I did with the bow just now. And for you, Joni, this is the first time I've met someone wearing a silver suit of armor. All I know is that those who wear it have mysterious powers. From the memories in my memory, the color of such armor is a type of melee fighter, unarmed.”

“Hey, why doesn't this work. Look, I've been fully concentrated.” Deni cut the explanation. His left hand was already holding the right hand, trying to bring out the sword. Not successfully.

“You're just less used to it, Den. We'd better continue this mission.” Sem is currently acting as a leader. Deni did not heed the instructions, he continued to force out the sword. His face was flushed, straining. It didn't work either.

“Where is that portal?” I asked, I don't want to be like Deni. Since the initial explanation from Sem about the hidden strength, I have already felt a huge flow of energy within my body. I'm sure once I'm able to get it out when needed, there's no need to try it out like Deni did.

She looked at me, then smiled broadly. “Not far, is in front of us.” Shem pointed towards the other side of the lake.

Hearing that answer, Deni stopped his silliness. He looked up, staring towards the lake. “There's nothing there, Sem. I don't see anything we can get into.”

“Of course. Didn't you guys already explained, we can't open the portal and enter it if we don't finish the quiz.” She raised her hand, preparing to do something.

Joni and Deni shook their heads. There was no explanation about the quiz from the officer, he might have fallen asleep in the control room by now.

“We don't know, Sem.” I stopped something Sem was going to do. Confused, Sem lowered his hand.

“It seems I have to explain again. You guys are lucky, I wasn't designed to be a fierce teacher.” Sem looks upset with the game maker. Look, those in this world have feelings too. A big question, is that really in the game?

“I can make the portal appear if the position is right. It's just, we won't be able to enter it, the portal is locked. Answer quiz that's the way to open it.” Shem raised her hand again. This time he was really focused. A white light appeared the size of a soccer ball on the edge of the lake, the longer it grew bigger, up to its size as tall as an adult. “My guess is right, the edge of this lake is indeed the place. But we can't get in.”

“We just have to answer the quiz, right? We'll answer until we get.” I said flatly, my face fixedly staring towards the white light swirling in front of us.

“You're wrong, Jon. We can only answer that once. If it is wrong, the system will immediately respond and return you to where you were. You can play after pressing the start button. That's what the facility continues to do. At the beginning it might be okay. But what about in the middle of the game? In addition, when the portal appears like this. Log out feature will not work. And remember, this quiz is always related to the.” number Sem then walked closer to the portal, followed by Joni and Deni at the back.

“How to make the quiz appear?” I asked.

“We stay touch that portal.” She answered briefly. They had arrived in front of the portal, preparing to touch it. So far in the game is safe, no problem. The main problem is my limited time and Deni playing. We have to log out in less than an hour. We couldn't finish that game in just an hour or two, it took days. That is if the journey is smooth.

“You guys, prepare an answer.” Sem asked her partner to start thinking if the quiz had appeared, once they answered wrongly. Then it will return to its original point. I will meet the lion again.

Shem finally touched the white portal floating on the edge of the lake. The portal gave off a brighter light. Deni and I are ready to think, the question of numbers will obviously drain the mind. The light on the portal dazzled the face, some of the sand that was below was slightly lifted up. The middle of the portal switched functions to a large screen, there was one question written there.

“We have Joni here, any question certainly will not be difficult.” Deni took it lightly.

“What's the question? I can't read at all, it's programming language.” I complained after noticing the big screen in front of him. It is not Latin writing.

“That's my function here. I'll translate.” Shem takes things more seriously. “WHO IS THE INVENTOR OF ZERO?”, Sem then smiled. “This is the opening question, not too difficult. You know the answer, Jon.” Sem seemed to have known if I knew the answer since he said zero.”

“You know it, buddy?” Deni looked at me, expectantly.

“Yes, I didn't expect the first question to be that easy. That person is Al-Khwarizmi, more complete Muhammad bin Musa Al-Khwarizmi.” I finished answering the question, Sem translated it. Then the large screen in front of them returned just like before the question had appeared. Sem touched it again.

“It's open, we can enter now.” Sem let go of his touch.

Me and Deni nodded. All right, let's go in!
