The Amazing Joni's

The Amazing Joni's
CHAPTER 25: TWENTY-FIVE

The portal to the Sea country is located in the northern forest. At the top of the mountain. Sem glanced at his advanced watch, ascertaining the direction correctly. According to the Lan king during a meal together last night, the peak was filled with pine forests. As far as the eye could see, the tree had been decorating all the way. That's a sign that we're headed not far away.

Sem walked in front, leading. Me and Deni were behind him. While Nin was following behind us, he was busy staring at a realm that was familiar to him. At this time there may be two sorrows in his heart, say goodbye to nature which has become his home, say goodbye to his father who has just met less than 24 hours. Even if it's only temporary.

“Sorry princess. What's the name of that gun?” Deni ventured to start the conversation. He pointed at the long-barreled weapon slung against Nin's back.

Nin looked over, looking at Deni. Not giving an answer. Just shrug your shoulders. Don't know.

“Do not know? Hasn't the princess used it long ago? Oh, let me guess.” Deni slowed his pace, making Nin step parallel to him. While I was just eavesdropping from the front. What is the plan of this boy. “This may be M16.. Oh no. It's more like M82A1, or maybe M90, M95, M99.” Deni scratched his non-itchy head. Surrender.

Silent. We keep going. Deni kept his eyes on the weapon from the side. Nin did not care about it at all.

“Hey, Jon. Can you help me explain this weapon?” Deni half exclaimed. Deni policy, why should I know. Though enough to say not know, easy, right?

“Entahlah. That's probably a kind of UR PGM HECATE II, because the bullet mileage is more than one kilo.” I answered the origin. Keep walking after Sem.

Deni nodded, assuring. Either the answer is correct or not. The weapons in this place are different from those in our world. I don't know if his name is the same or not. Nin who stung the answer looked up. He also did not know the name of the weapon, maybe it was time to give the name to his true friend. They had been together for a long time in the middle of the forest. But Nin never knew what he called his weapon.

“Are you used to living in the middle of a forest like this?” Deni asked, trying to get more familiar.

Nin looked over, just nodding. The girl who is actually the princess and heir to the throne is the only more silent. No commenting. Deni looked at her sparklingly, nodding alone was enough for her in response. The princess grew even more beautiful as the rays of the sun rose through the cracks of the leaves and hit her pointed nose.

“Mr princess. You're an adventurer, you know the area very well. Have you ever opened that portal?” She stopped her steps, looking. Then ask.

Opening portals? Isn't that only Shem can do? Wait for. Not everyone in this game can do it.

“I've tried it, but the question was too difficult for me.” Nin finally wanted to talk.

“What's the question? This friend of ours, Joni. He had already conquered those two quiz questions before. And this time, he will also definitely do it.” Deni clenched his hands, enthusiastic. I elbowed his arm. Don't overdo it, Den.

Nin shrugged his shoulders. “Let's go, I seem to have forgotten. That was a long time ago. More than five years ago. Since then I have never approached that portal again.”

“Sweetest. If the princess still remembers, we will have more time to break it.” Deni.

“It's okay, Den. We'll break it together.” I smile.

“And remember. Don't call me princess. Just call me Nin. That's my name.” Nin smirked. He started talking a lot. Actually Nin was still awkward, because between the four of us he was just a woman. That's why he prefers to be quiet.

“OK.. Okay, princess. Uh, I mean, Nin.” Deni again scratched his head. Nin glared at him. Me and Sem just laughed. If this isn't a game, it looks like they're a matching pair.

We continue the journey. Nin had been talking cheerfully the whole trip. He told me a lot, because Nin was the one who knew the most about this place. This time, he was the one leading in front with Sem. Nimble and deft.

The sun has climbed up. It's more bright. Cold still wrapped the forest. There is a lot of oxygen available. There may be almost no carbon dioxide. The dried leaves began to fall, powerless against the wind. Pine forests as far as the eye could see, lined up neatly on the side of the path. Green dazzles. The beautiful nature.

“So you guys are really not from here?” Nin asked.

Me and Deni nodded. We are from earth. Physically, the people in this place are no different from the people in our world, except when we were in the sand country, the gatekeeper was wearing a mask that was like fusing with the face, he said, or maybe it was really their face.

“Can I pay a visit to your place?” Nin began to be enthusiastic.

“It seems not, Nin. They come from a very far away place. The world that we ourselves will not be able to live in.” Sem explained, he understood very well that he was just a program created from a game console. Such memories did not seem to be put into Nin's memory. Maybe even the memory of everyone in this country.

“Why?” The question of Nin is becoming more and more.

“Because we are human.” Deni answered. That was actually a slightly sensitive answer for Sem and Nin.

Nin glared, probing. He wanted to ask, more know.

“Sem, how is the portal?” I quickly shifted the topic.

“Just in front of us.” Sem glanced at the advanced watch that was on the wrist, looking up. Suddenly, our arms all swept around, forgetting for a moment about the difference of the two worlds.

The portal was actually at the top of a mountain in the northern part. Our surroundings were full of pine lined up neatly like a Monday morning ceremony. On the way, we actually climbed. But it's not too draining. Of course, thanks to a pair of shoes that are bundled with armor. Whether it's climbing, whether it's derivative. It will all feel like a normal road.

She took one step, feeling the snort of the mountain wind. Raised hands, looking for a portal. Something vibrating felt, just like the portals of the previous countries. But this is different, the portal had appeared for two seconds, then disappeared again. Shem then touched it again, the portal appeared several shock, then disappeared again. This portal doesn't appear.

“What's up, Sem?” I asked.

“It seems my energy is not enough to bring up this portal.” Sem looks cringed. I just realized, it turns out that opening the portal requires energy.

“How about we open together?” Deni gave us an idea we had to try.

The four of them, the portal still did not last long. How to answer quiz questions, the portal alone can not be raised.

“What's wrong?” Deni started to sting. Thirty minutes, we've tried dozens of times to bring up the portal. Still don't last long. At most it was only three seconds.

“Somewhat's on my mind. But this portal is like giving a message that can bring it up in its entirety only the person specified.” Sem said chokingly, he was very exhausted. Sem's the most drained of his energy right now.

“Then who?” Nin also gasped, holding his knees.

“Good news you're one of them, Nin. The bad news is I don't know who your partner is.” Sem answered, the sweat soaked the neck.

“So to open the portal it needs two people? Then it's clear it's me. I'm a descendant of a handsome young man who deserves and deserves to be the prince of a princess. There's nothing else, right?” Deni chuckled, not feeling all eyes looking at him in a jerry look.

“Then we will try one by one.” There's no other choice. Even if the opinion of Sem is wrong, of course there are other ways that can be thought of.

“Good. Nin, let's do both. They will not be part, because we will bring up this portal.” Deni grinning. The sunlight made his face redder, all aware of that. Nin followed, then along with Deni trying to raise his hand, the portal appeared.

Breeze over the mountain gently caressing the children's hair. Non-rigid. Nothing happened. Deni bowed listlessly. Despondent. Dismissed her hopes of opening a portal with the princess. Nin snorted. Exhaustion. Nin certainly can open this portal, but not alone. There must be a couple. But if Sem and I can't take turns partnering with him, Nin will be completely drained.

“You all right, Nin?” I stared anxiously. Nin nodded, no problem. This is just the beginning of his adventure. Nin re-stretched his back. Now it's my turn with him to try.

Everything stays the same. The roar of the wind felt stronger, playing more at the ends of our hair. The sun kept rising. Warmer, stinging more.

“Then you are the one, Sem.” I pat Sem's shoulder, still trying to catch my breath. Really draining energy.

“Not necessarily, Den.” Shem responded briefly. “What about you, Nin? You still strong? We can rest for a while if you're not able to.” Sem raised his hand, worried to see the Nin kedaan that was almost out of steam.

Nin shook his head. He stood up from his seat. “This is the last one in this minute, Sem. Who knows you're the one. If it fails again. I hope you guys don't blame me for not being strong just because of this portal. We will try it again after resting.”

Sem and Nin stepped together, raising their hands. A pressing tremor appeared, just like we felt before. But this time it's more different. The vibration was getting stronger, shiny. Electricity as it flows appears. Turning around, the portal glowed brighter, more dazzling. And this was to be expected, the portal was already intact appearing in front. The light is brighter than in previous countries. The portal is also twice as large.

Just a few moments after Nin watched the portal he opened with Sem, he fainted. Out-of-energy. But it's not a big deal. The thought now is what the quiz will look like. What number? And if we've managed to unlock the portal, what if we suddenly land on the seabed? Can't breathe, swallowed by a shark alive.

“I think it's been adjusted by the system, Jon. We might be able to breathe in water.” She also took a sitting position. Bringing up the portal drained almost all of his power.

“Breathe in water? Are we gonna have gills? That's a little disgusting, Sem.” Deni squinted, amused.

“We'll see later, Den. Sem, can you still bring up the quiz. We'll have plenty of time to think.” I moved closer to the twisted portal, looking beautiful. But it's still locked.

Sem nodded, he touched the portal once more. The big screen appeared. There are two strips that each contain writing. Only Sem understands, because writing is a programming language.

“The quiz this time has two statements. We have to conclude with a number as the answer.” Sem looked up, stared at the two statements. holding his chin up, trying to translate.

The sum of two digits of the multiplication of the numbers is always the same as it.

Two people who have been determined.

“This complicates. You can answer, Jon?” Deni had laid his body on the ground which was partially overgrown with teki grass. Giving up, before he even thought.

“Why did you give up like that, Den? Wouldn't it be great if you could finish this quiz yourself? Nin might be proud of you.” I tried to persuade Deni to think.

“Don't my face be enough to make her proud, Jon?” Deni smiled, grinning. Contrary to my and Shem's gaze. Sok-cool! “Good, good. We all know, the two people who have been determined are Sem and Nin. Because those who managed to bring up the portal intact. The problem is the first statement. Even if we know, how to relate that number to the second statement? That's just my comment, the rest please both of you think.” Deni closed his eyes, not wanting to take the dizziness for longer.

Sem and I have my chin. That's right, Deni's right. That number is actually already in our minds, just connecting the two statements that are still difficult to do.

Thirty minutes passed. I even took a break next to Deni. Tired, not just drained energy. But thinking also drains energy without feeling. While Nin was awake. He rubbed his face, all right. Come to think, look for the answer with Sem.

The sun is at the top. Everything looks without shadow. In parallel. White twisting clouds at the horizon. As if preparing to welcome home the sun on the western horizon. Today seems to pass without an answer. The sea must be destroyed. But as I closed my eyes, I remembered something. Something related, something concerning Sem, something concerning Nin. They both represent the numbers on both statements.

“I've found the answer.” I woke up the body. Sem and Nin looked surprised. While Deni did not budge.

“Forget that, Jon. If you're wrong, what if the portal disappears? Tomorrow if we want to bring it up again our energy will be drained more. Not to mention in the sea country later we have to swim like pufferfish.” The eyes remained squashed, only his mouth spoke nonsense.

“Oh, come on, Den. I really found the answer. Sem, you fill that answer column. I'm sure this will lead us to meet the sea coral.” I stood up, looking optimistic. I've conquered this quiz.

“Define your answer to all of us here. Maybe someone disagrees, right?” Deni woke up his body, sat down.

“Good.” I took a deep breath. Everyone looked up, looked at me.

The sun has started to fall from the highest peak. The shadows began to curl at the end of the foot.

“That second statement does refer to Sem and Nin. The provisional answers of the two determined men were Sem and Nin. The first is about logic and numbers. This turned out to be easy, just a matter of multiplication and addition. Two digit numbers that, if added together, will have the same result as the number that was previously the multiplier. That number is nine. And nine is the answer to this quiz. A number multiplied by nine will result in two digit numbers, excluding the number one. Let's just say it doesn't count. For example the number three if multiplied by nine the result is twenty-seven.27 is 2 and 7, if 2 is added with 7 then the result is 9. Other numbers, such as 6. If six is multiplied by nine, then the result is fifty-four.54 is 5 and 4, if 5 is added with 4 the result is also 9. Other numbers less than 10. So obviously, the number referred to in the first statement was 9.”

“Don't you forget the connection with the first statement, Jon? What does the number nine have to do with the two of them?” Deni raised his hand, turning to Sem and Nin.

“No. It's still in touch, Den. You forgot both their names.” I smile.

“Forget their name?” Deni folds forehead.

“Yes. Their names are Sem and Nin. That Sem is nine, that Nin is nine from English, which means nine as well. Related, right?” now I raise my hand.

“You're a genius, Jon.” She smiled with appreciation. Nin held out his right thumb. Smilingly.

“Okay, that makes sense. Well, I know you've always been reliable for something this complicated, man.” Deni patted my shoulder. “Well, what are you waiting for Nine, you enter the answer now.” Deni looked at Sem, telling like an employer. Nin poked it with a handful of dried leaves. All laughing looking at the face full of leaves, a mess.

Sem put that answer in. The long-awaited portal was finally open. The light emitted was brighter, dazzling. Portal with a size twice as large as the previous portal looks like gaping, waiting for objects to enter it.

“Wait! Waitaminute! Don't we need swimsuits? Hey, Sem!” Deni actually wanted to hold back. But Shem had already entered the portal, the body had already disappeared. Nin followed behind.

“Jon, you're sure we won't land in the middle of a herd of sharks, right?” Deni was anxious, his face pale.

“Log in, Den. Take more oxygen, hold your breath.” I waved my hand, leaving Deni to enter the portal. Worried about being left alone, Deni also jumped up immediately.

The country with its sea corals has been blocked. Adventure in a new country is about to begin. Sea Country.
